Are the dollar mice/$10 headset on eBay legitimate?
free cancer incl.
>>58135604
Probably laden with semen and cheeto crumbs.
>>58135604
I'd buy from monoprice, aliexpress, banggood, or dx instead of eBay. But yes. They are legitimately mice and headsets.
They might not last terribly long, but perform just as well as the $10-$30 budget options at best buy.

AMD went full retard as usual they are suppose to primarily compete on price but instead they went for the 2% enthusiast tier instead of competing in the mainstream gaming market.

What a way to cause not only an inconvenience to those on board, and on a red-eye flight, no less, but also scare the crew into thinking there might have been a real emergency, especially when people have seen videos of these phones fizzling up and catching fire.

Too bad, he should be taken from flight.

Not that it's bad per se. It's just really boring, but then again if you don't want to stress out for work reasons being boring is usually a plus.
alright boys, redpill me on *BSD
gimme the basics, some pros and cons
ive been usin arch for a few years so how difficult would the change be?
>>58135160
BSDs are not difficult. They aren't just worth over Linux.
Go install a FreeBSD distro and compare it with a Linux one. You will see how polished Linux has become.
more like PeeSD
nobody uses it it's like the Linux of OS'es
>>58135160
The change is fairly straightforward on the surface, more complex on the back side of things.
>>58135510
>FreeBSD distro
>taken seriously
pick one
>>58135535
It's nothing like GNU/Linux when it comes to details. The FreeBSD kernel and the Linux kernel have virtually nothing in common. That's why FreeBSD pushes ~5Mpps, while Linux dies at 1Mpps.

https://riot.im/
Does anyone here unironically use riot.im or anything else based on Matrix?
For the uninitiated:
> Matrix is an open standard for decentralised communication, providing simple HTTP APIs and open source reference implementations for securely distributing and persisting JSON over an open federation of servers.
to the top
>>58134912
Yeah, I convinced a couple of friends to install riot. We basically use it as a group chat, and it works well enough, but there are a fuckton of bugs.
I use it ironically, it sucks cocks
Anyone have any experience with Indian scammers/tech support they can share?
You're probably the only one in this fucking website retarded enough to fall for their smelly schemes.
Check out Lewis's Tech and Malcolm Merlyn on YouTube

20%+ of /g/ fell for their smelly schemes buy purchasing an AMD GPU.
for example by writing code toward some goal?
or are we all fucked unless calico/google make a breakthrough?
>>58134857
Yes, entirely possible. There are several ways:
1) Become a molecular biologist/system biologist/geneticist
2) Become a bioinformatics researcher
3) Become a machine learning researcher (ML is widely used in biology and life extension
4) Get a job in bioinformatics (they need programmers) or in biotech company as a programmer
5) Contribute to one of very many biology, bioinformatics or data analysis projects on github (this also has benefits for your resume, open-source contributions count)
6) Become rich doing some internet business, then invest in biology/life ext./
A pleasure to see such thread on /g/, seeing someone practically interested in life extension is a rare occurrence. Write me a email to [email protected] so we don't lose contact.

My friend has this idea where he wants to collect data on every single person, address, name, phone, licensed plate, car type, job, family, credit card details, etc...
How would he go about this?
An idea he had a while back was to start attacking local businesses in order to steal their database information.
Another idea was to develop some kind of software that would be in cameras set up in public places to look at license plates and identify what make and model of car was driving it or some kind of facial recognition program to attach a person to a vehicle and then with that information it could eventually be used to locate places of employment and their addresses and social media.
Wouldn't it be great to be an old wizard, all knowing and all seeing, keeping tabs on your entire city? This is a life goal for my friend.
>>58134791
it's called suicide
it's more effective than installing gentoo from what i've heard.
someone's already doing that
>>58134791
Sorry, but someone already implemented your friend's idea.
