is our genetic code open source?
Yes, it's not obfuscated in any way
>>58136376
Yes. It is also licensed under GPL by God.
Nope. You don't have the right to study any given person's genetic code and the methods for altering that code are patented (as are many of the unique sequences involved in both study and alteration). Distribution, however, is open as long as you aren't licensing the code in question.
Hey Linux Guys
>lets pretend you got the new macbook
>pretend you would use it with linux installed
What would you display on the emoji touchbar ? would you improve your coding experience with some tweaks to that ? what applications would profit from a second very small interface apart of the laptop screen ?
Examples:
-Conky in the touchbar so you can see it even when you watch porn in fullscreen
-A Install Solus/Gentoo running text
I hope you have better ideas than i have.
Your mother

OP here, i know you would probably sell it and buy a full qualified notebook.
Just try to """pretend"""

Why am I not surprised
I just bought a one meter usb-lightning cable for 19.90€

Just built a PC getting this message when I boot it up also my keyboard and mouse ain't working
What CPU is it?
>>58136177
Read the fucking messages. Do what they say.
>>58136177
That mobo only supports up to 95W CPUs. You're probably trying to put a 8350 on it or something?
Basically, you went full JUST.
What kind of skills are required to create and maintain a website like pic related ?
How much money would I have to pay someone to create? Would it require any physical infrastructure?
Looks like a shitty news website to me
>>58136244
Pretty much.
But you didn't answer any of my questions.
>>58136138
It does not look very advanced
>What kind of skills are required to create and maintain a website like pic related ?
You could likely make something like that with wordpress or some other CMS like drupal. There is no need to know anything about code. It's not some advanced web application or unique website.
>How much money would I have to pay someone to create?
I am sure you could do something like that yourself if you use something like wordpress and etc.
>Would it require any physical infrastructure?
To host it? Yes, but many companies provide hosting services you can likely get something for $8 per month or even less. Many even come with CMSs like wordpress installed with the press of a button if you want to go that route.
That is what I would recommend. You could of course code everything or make someone code everything, but there is really no reason to when it's such a simple website.

high demand, low barrier to entry
Their country has a fairly good educational system and they're able to offer their services at a competitive price.
Hello, /g/, just picked up a m18x r2 off Craigslist from some Tyrone that says he got from an evicted home. I paid only $100 for it because Tyrone didn't computer very well.
It has an "engineering special" processor in it and I want to switch it out for an OEM one. Why? It won't except some drivers (Intel HD graphics), comes up as "Genuine Intel processor" instead of a 3610qm which what cpuid reads it as, and it won't install some of Microsoft's drivers to run Vidya.
Should I be able to swap out the processor or did I get dindu'd out of $100.
It at least came with 2 ssd's...
It has a very nice display too, bad these laptops are so expensive.
Twist: OP is Tyrone

looks like shit
I bought three exam study guides on Amazon
>A+ Certification
>Network+ Certification
>Security+ Certification
Now, should I study which ones should I study and which should I not study?
P.S. they all came with a CD-ROM for computer use.
>>58135869
>which ones should I study
>>58135869
Study all of them... start with the order which you wrote them. "A+ first and etc."
>>58135891
Alright then.
Since this is going into the 2017 year, any idea on when renewal would be?
what's the name of that one operating system that spies on everything you do? i'm not sure if it exists. it sounds like dystopian fantasy desu, but maybe it is real?!

Windows NT professional 10.0

Life.
Im just wondering how you get on without any mobile, tablet, bank account, email, store cards, etc?
>>58135842
Windows 10 you mean?
looks like my motherboard needs to be replaced. that means i will need to also buy a new CPU and also RAM sticks.
this is my plan:
i3 6100 tray = 139$
gigabyte h110m = 75$
corsair 2x8gb ddr4 = 105$
total = 319$
should i invest more in the cpu? honestly when i was a kid, more mhz meant better cpu. nowadays i have no fucking idea how it works. i5 and i7 barely add any mhz and yet cost at least twice than i3.
>>58135790
going higher gets you MOAR COARS, op.
if I were you I'd just get an old LGA1366 hex-core xeon and an X58 board, then overclock the balls off of it.
it's a great idea if power is cheap where you live. otherwise, just get a NUC or something.
i3 is a dual core
i5 a quad core
>>58135797
>>58135809
if the heaviest thing i do is compiling and photoshop, will the i3 be enough for the near future?
apt-get
I prefer Debian with XFCE over both of those.
>>58135944
Uh oh, anon. Get ready for unsupported claims that apt-get is shit.
Why do you prefer Manjaro with XFCE over Arch with XFCE?
so what's /g/'s verdict on .NET Core?
>multiplatform
>free as in freedom
>best business language
>not deeply tied to windows anymore
>no more XML bullshit, all JSON now
>linker is a lot easier to deal with
>dependency handling is much simpler
I hated working with old .NET but I might be convinced to like this. after all, the only downside I can think of is that it's still a Microsoft product.
What would autists on a Cartesian map coordinate board know about .NET anyway?
So how do I get this all set up to start coding and testing C# on Linux? I'd like to learn a low level language.
Why should I go down this route over, say, C++?
>>58135656
>C#
>Low level
