I looked into it a while ago and it turned out amd processors and mac os didn't mix to well. Anyone here running mac os on non-apple hardware? Is the experience pleasant? Really curious because I just want a comfy unix system that just werks.

can these cock suckers do anything right? i'm still stuck using their shit email service since my first ISP was in a partnership with them. they keep having security problems, the email service is unreliable, and i have problems sending emails often because they get bounced back.

Anyone here using a TV as a monitor?

4K TVs are finally rather afforable to poorfags like me, should I just get one? I don't give a fuck about gaming I just want more workspace for emacs and the like. Anything I should be aware of?

What's good about C++ abstractions when it's more complicated and less readable than plain old C and you can't figure out what the compiler is doing?

So is this machine a viable dev laptop after the fall of apple 2k16? My criteria is basically 16gb ram (elasticsearch keeps eating it), retina or better display, and a decent build -- seems like there really arent many decks out there that could replace the good ol mbp <=15. Does anyone have experience with the battery life on the 4k stealth; hows the keyboard, etc?
