If you wish to make an apple pie from scratch, you must first invent the universe.
>>58971650
Go to school, you idiot.
>>58971911
how come none of the people that came out of a school made an alternative to iOS or Android and we are stuck with this garbage
where is the GNU FREE OPEN Mobile OS thats customizable?!?
I remember a few years ago I'd participate on programming challenges where you had to write a program in a confined space, eg. max 100 lines and max. 100 characters on each line, anyone knows what these challenges are named?
I cant find them for my life
>>58971473
Code golfing?
>>58971486
isnt that more of a use x operations/lines in general thing? I remember it being mostly about this block like code structure in whitespace languages like python and autoit
Would you?

I'd love a SE running 6.0.1
>>58971465
No because it'll be like a Zuk or Meizu but worse with that ui.
No. I only care about hardware insofar as its ability to run apps without locking up. Apple hardware would give me no advantage in that respect.
Hi /g/
I have an i7 2.20ghz, 8GB, 128GB SSD, Intel Iris 540 HP Laptop and when I play games on battery power it runs smoothly at maximum settings. No lag spikes or anything, however when I plug in the AC the game gets lag spikes every 30 seconds or so for about 5 seconds. Is there any way I can fix this? I have tried Razer Cortex but that didn't solve the problem. The games I am having this issue with is CSGO and Paladins. Any advice would be much appreciated.
>Picture related. My laptop.

Play on Power Saving while connected to AC supply. HP laptops have intense Throttling and only doing this helps me maintain playable fps
t. Envy 17 user
BTW that's Thermal Throttling if you wanna research more.

Refurbished Thinkpad T420
Go to ebay/craiglist. Find something cheap that's still running after 5 years. Put ubuntu or some shit distro on it. Magic.

now that you finaly realize the money grubbing fuckery that is the tech industry, perhaps you may actually do something beneficial for humanity instead of retarded shitposts and fapping/vidya faggotry.
I always hated that fucking man. As an actor and as a person. But now he present us that piece of technology and goddamn...

Hey /g/
What's your favorite music player? What do you currently use and why?
Picture not exactly related-- this is not my favorite one
mpd+ncmpcpp on Linux
Winamp or foobar on Windows
Vanilla music, Poweramp, or shuttle on Android.
cmus, but i dont use it because i cant be arsed to proper tag every music file
so i just dont listen to music
>>58971152
Yeah, tagging a bitch if you don't get music from the same sources
Then there's the lunatics who actually put up with private trackers/buying music.
I have a self-extracting 7-zip archive, which is secured with a password. I know that the password is 10 characters long and consists only of numbers and random letters. Now my question:
Do you know a programm, which can handle such a self-extracting archive and brut-force or use a wordlist on it?
All programms I have tried do only work with .rar or .zip, but this archive is a .exe, which starts a .sfx. I also might have a suitable wordlist for this, but I couldn´t find a programm to try it on this .exe.

Is that shift knob a joke, or did someone actually have a reason for making it like that?

this, gentoo has some packages for this kind of shit
>The White House has provided a steady stream of leaks. In response, Trump has launched an investigation, and expressed his displeasure in a tweet: “Why are there so many illegal leaks coming out of Washington?”
>Confide launched in 2013 as a secure app for executives looking to trade gossip and talk shop without creating a digital trail. The service uses a proprietary encryption protocol, what the company describes as “military-grade end-to-end encryption.” Its marquee feature, self-destructing messages, appears on similar services like Snapchat, but Confide’s appeal lies in its promise of more robust protections.
>It’s worth noting, though, that unlike other secure messaging apps, like standard-bearer Signal, Confide’s encryption is closed source and proprietary, meaning no one outside the company knows what’s going on under the hood of the app. Company president Jon Brod says that Confide bases its encryption protocol on the widely used PGP standard, and that the app’s network connection security relies on “recommended best practices” like Transport Socket Layer (TLS). Brod did not respond to questions, though, about whether Confide has ever opened its code base to be independently audited by a third party.
>“One key is always, do you make code publicly available that’s been audited where features have been inspected by the security community so that it can arrive at some consensus,” says Electronic Frontier Foundation legal fellow Aaron Mackey. “My understanding with Confide, at least right now, is that it’s not clear whether that’s occurred.”

Who needs a DE if you can watch StarWars via telnet with your favourite shell?
I really like this company, but I'm not sure why. Are they really /g/ in general or something?
Panasonic is the shit I think, I always trust them. So sad that they stopped making plasma tvs, they were the best you could buy.
Best vacuums
Best landline phones
Best appliances
Best beard trimmers :p
Basically everything they make is at the top mid range for the product category.
Their plasma TVs were god tier and I'm really glad mine still works flawlessly even after nearly ten years of usage.
They make some awesome laptops
