Hey /g/, I was looking at microphones recently as I'm phasing out gaming headsets and switching to better quality equipment. I already have a set of headphones picked out, now I just need a mic to go with it. I was wondering what your opinions were on the Blue Yeti USB Blackout Edition mic and if there were any mics that offered similar features and sound quality for a lower price. I also wanted to know what you all thought of the AntLion ModMic. In addition, any mic recommendations under or around $100 would be greatly appreciated.

i've got an antlion modmic, it's convenient as hell but i had to get cheapo usb soundcard to get rid of static produced by it. I recommend it though if having a desktop mic would pick up too much background noise.
>>
If money is tight, go ahead and use a meme albeit serviceable microphone by Blue like Snowball or yeti, or up the budget a bit and get a real mic like AT2020.

Post your component list, rate other anons', and ask questions in general.

Always state the purpose of your PC, your budget, AND YOUR COUNTRY if outside the USA.
If you are asking for improvements, clarify whether you want to lower price or to improve specs or build quality.

Assemble your parts list; built-in price comparisons by vendor and a compatibility filter.

So should I wait for zen? Was just gonna get an i5 and 1070 kind of sick of waiting.
>>
>>58960042
Personally I'd say yes, because you will be able to get almost 4c / 8t i7 performance at the cost of a current i5, and with the AM4 socket you will have an insane upgrade path. Undoubtedly higher clocked models (better single core performance) will arrive for the socket and you'll be able to upgrade to a future 8c / 16t CPU if you wanted to.

Of course everyone is still waiting on gaming benchmarks, so there is a chance that Ryzen won't perform as well as hoped.

One caveat is that Ryzen doesn't have a graphics component, so troubleshooting can be more difficult and there's no fallback if your gfx card dies. The 4c / 8t Ryzen APUs might be amazing if you want that graphics component for whatever reason, like in a GNU/Linux GPU passthrough setup.

Why the fuck is my GPU so wobbly?
I didn't screw it in yet but is it normal for it to wobble?

It fitted really tight in the last mother(board)

It wasn't. WTF is OP talking about?!

Also, don't use Windows if you don't want ads, adware etc. or spend the effort required for keeping them blocked.

What is the difference between motherboards like the MSI X99A SLI PLUS and Asus ROG STRIX X99 GAMING? Apart from different I/O ports, looks and supporting different RAM speeds they both have many same features. Why does one cost so much more than the other?

They're going to take over, trucking first.
People who like driving are going to keep driving manually, but self driving cars are going to be used who just see cars as a way to get themselves to work.

At least until they ban manual driving because it's too dangerous.

What's stopping you from switching to Linux? Most of what I use my computer for is watching anime and MPV sucks ass compared to something like Kawaii Codec Pack. Also I don't have a spare hard drive to install it on and I don't want to compromise my privacy by partitioning a Windows drive to run Linux on.

Whats the point if all exit nodes know where you are? wouldnt it be better to have a system where a node randomly passes its info foward and only has gives its own ip?

Encryption for the connection tunnel changes during every client hop. Nodes also change IP addresses as the ARP table is constantly changing.

Also, you can't just say "hey this IP belongs to this machine..." you would have to monitor the traffic coming from the client and arriving at the correct destination.

Still on my q6700 rig.

Not as much as getting a 980TI

But sure, it wouldnt hurt to max out your CPU, you can probably get one used for $60
>>
In total war and Arma games yes, also heavily modded games would get an fps increase.
Keep in mind ZEN is just round the corner, changing your CPU right now isn't really your best choice
