Programming with cheap hardware is a false economy. The efficiency savings from using faster processors, more RAM, more monitors, SSDs, etc are far greater than the increased outlay.

Same goes for OS... it's silly to go the FLOSS route when OSX is so much more productive. And since you don't want to hackintosh in a production environment, that means buying high end macs.

It might seem like frivolous spending at first glance but it stands up very well in a cost-benefit analysis.

$3m spent on computer equipment (which presumably includes servers) vs. $31m spent on salaries. Buying a bunch of new MacBooks is literally a rounding error for them.

Wikipedia France censored the use of original names of cities of "Provinces étrangères de France", this happend for many regions of France. It was welcomed before 2012.
