Is it bad for you to drink a lot of milk? I consume lots of low-fat milk daily. and I was wondering whether I'm doing myself any harm.

If you're a young male, you might end up developing gynecomastia. Maybe it'll happen to older males who drink too much milk, too.

Other than that, no, there aren't any issues with it. Milk is pretty solid all around.

Hey /fit/

I am 23. 5' 9" and 152 lbs right now. I used to be 246 lbs at my heaviest. But I went full retard and essentially starved myself down to 136 lbs. I kept trying to lose weight because no matter how much I lost weight I still felt squishy and saggy all over. I now realize that is cause I barely had/have any muscle.

I have been on ICF 5X5 for a couple months now. My lifts are laughable but here they are:

(all of them are for 5x5)
Squat: 95 lbs -> 155 lbs
Bench: 85 lbs -> 110 lbs
OHP: 45 lbs -> 70 lbs
Deadlift: 105 lbs -> 185 lbs

My problem is that I look like a T-rex. I have barely any muscle mass in my upper body. And I my progress for upper body lifts has been very slow and I keep stalling. But that hasn't happened for Squat or Deadlift. Do I stick to this program or would I be better of going for a more upper body focused program. Any recommendations and suggestions? I feel so fucking weak and ugly.

The fact that you dont look like a gross sack of bones right now after the weight loss, you are blessed. My 5x5 lifts are extremely similar to yours, just my bench is a bit higher. Stick to the program until you start getting sharp pains, or until you hit a plateau in that routine. By then, youll be able to build your very own routine to your liking, so you can focus more on everything but your quads.

Didn't see a stupid questions thread...

I'm trying to lose weight (30lbs). I've cut out all snacks and desserts (no ice cream, chocolate, etc). Unfortunately can't cut out soda because I've always only drank water. I drink two protein shakes every day. Started walking a mile every morning. Haven't lost a pound and I think it's because I'm lazy and therefor shitty when it comes to my diet. I eat whenever and almost whatever I feel like it.

I never know what to buy when I'm grocery shopping. Only stipulation is that I can't cook. I'm not willing to learn right now and I'm living at a friend's house and don't want to ask to use his stuff to learn either. The sticky is just like "don't eat

Why is it so hard to find a boxing gym that isn't in the middle of the ghetto?

I want to learn how to fight because it seems ridiculous to be fit and not even know how to throw a punch because I've never been in a fight before. All of the boxing gyms are in the parts of the city where if you go there as a white person then you're probably going to get robbed though.

Every kind of martial arts place in the white areas are just gimmicky shit like karate classes or women's self defense courses where they teach that jewish martial art (krav maga, I think) where they teach you to kick people in the nuts and poke their eyes.

School has always said that students who exercise have better grades.

Do they mean just jogging 20 minutes to get a slight sweat? When I strength train I'm so tired and don't wanna do anything else. I put off everything so my body can rest and recover so my academics have suffered. I'm fact im in a pretty dark place in my life because I put strength training first during college.

I recently started working out ( 3 months in) and I want to build more muscle so I bought protein powder at the store. EAS 100% Whey 26gram protein. I cannot stomach the shake, it comes out all layered and a little chunky when I mix it with water and I honestly couldnt even do a sip. I stirred in it my cup for a good 5 minutes and it meant nothing. Anyone have a good tasting protein powder shake they use? Or another high source of protein not in powder form?

Mix the powder in yoghurt, cottage cheese or oatmeal. That's a lot better. You can also bake it into cookies and protein bars. There's a ton of recipes online.

Yes you need to take that much caffeine. You should be healthy enough to withstand any sides from it. if you have a caffeine sensitivity, then you shouldnt even consider EC stack in the first place. The ephedrine alone will be enough to give you problematic side effects if you're predisposed to cardiovascular issues.

Okay so I was borderline triggered today in my World Problems class. We were talking about issues and whether it's a social problem or personal problem. They marked obesity as a social problem claiming that in "today's day and age" healthy foods are hard to come by and are expensive. They also went on and said that no one has time to do any physical activities anymore.

Can anyone here give some reasons why it's a personal problem and that those statements aren't entirely true.

It's not a question of healthy or unhealthy foods. Nobody lost weight at Dachau because of an abundance of healthy food. It's a question of whether or not you're eating too many calories. Eat less and you'll be skinny.

How much does oatmeal cost? How much do frozen veggies cost? How much does raw chicken breast cost? In the US, next to nothing. Chicken is far, far more expensive in Europe and Canada, yet they have much skinnier populations. So Americans have no excuse. Home cooking is cheaper than eating out.

So why are Americans fat? Because they're too lazy to prepare healthy, affordable meals at home. They'd rather swing by a McD's drive-thru. They're also too lazy to exercise; they can't even be bothered to walk.
