I'm looking in to learning some form of martial arts. I took taekwondo for a few years when I was younger but I'd like something a little more involved.
I've narrowed it down just a bit but I don't know enough about the separate arts to confidently make a final decision.
Right now I'm looking mostly at Muay Thai, but I don't want to lock myself in to that until I know the differences between the following martial arts:
Aikido
Jiu Jitsu
Combat Sambo
Silat
Krav Maga
Systema
Ninjitsu
Is there such thing as a "better" martial arts to learn? Or do they all come with pros and cons? I'm open to recommendations and reasons for those recommendations.

Thought experiment:
We assume a set of twins are 100% adherent to their diet and require the same macro breakdown. They do the same lifts etc etc.
The twins each require 250g of carbs per day. If one twin ingested all of his carbs from simple sugars and the other ingested all of his carbs from complex sources, what effect would this have on body composition, and more importantly, why?
Reminder: the twins are eating the exact same macronutrional quantities, so suggestions of fat/muscle loss/gain must be explained in depth.

at the end of the day, the routine matters very little. it's all about constituency. It's all about going to the continually and enjoying the process. Not only will you look forward to your next session, but you'll also end up pushing yourself further and in the process make better gains.
if you follow a routine you don't enjoy, you'll feel miserable, like you're wasting your time and you'll eventually make excuses to stop going to the gym
do whichever routine you prefer, but the most important thing is to stick to it. on that not, GS is a great program.

How much sugar do you eat in a day?
What do you think is the limit anyone should eat? I don't eat candy, or drink soda, or desserts or anything, but I eat Chobani greek yogurt for instance. I'll also sometimes throw a couple of packets of pic related in some whole milk, but those all combined are already like 36g.
Thoughts? If I just start getting unflavored regular oats, can I still microwave them or do I need to keep stirring them over a pot or some shit

You can microwave old fashioned and rolled oats. If you are doing regular exercise, including cardio, sugar isn’t as big a deal for you. Just try and stay below like 40 grams a day and focus on getting that sugar from healthier sources or consume it in conjunction with plenty of fiber.
It’s mostly relative to your current diet and exercise habits.
