I'm starting to eat healthy to lose weight and I'm running into a couple hurdles:

1. I'm on Wellbutrin (an antidepressant), and it saps my appetite a lot. According to MyFitnessPal I'm usually under my daily caloric intake by 300 or more.

2. I cannot for the life of me hit my protein goal. MyFitnessPal is actually modest compared to what the sticky suggest (1g for each pound). I weight 270 pounds, and I have trouble hitting more than 50g a day.

I figured I would try some powder, but the whey protein in the sticky is getting super bad reviews as of late. What's up with that?

Also as a side note, after not exercising for a good while and getting back into it, my whole body started itching. What could that possibly be?

It's probably mostly a whey concentrate, but for extra bulking calories, go nuts.

How do you guys feel about fatty/"dark" meat vs leaner, white meat?

I've been buying whole chickens and roasting them for a while now because I like the extra juicy fat, and to use the bones for stock. Haven't bought breasts in months. And don't get me wrong I love fat, the keto lifestyle etc. But goddamn I think all the excess grease is starting to make me sick, I'm really craving a thick lean tight chicken breast or cut of steak, rather than a soft flabby sludgy thigh.

I'm sure many of you /fit/izens are pretty socially stunted guys, how did you overcome the incredible pressure when you first started working out?

I've got no problems going to the gym, but when it comes to setting up barbells or anything other than cardio, I feel like the world is on my shoulders. Someone else is always using the equipment, and when I finally do stop fumbling around I'm too scared to see if I have proper form. I may just have to go dead at night, but I know that's just avoiding the problem. There's bound to be a scenario in the future where I'll have to get over my social autism.

Any advice?
I'd read the sticky again, but I know it doesn't cover these topics.

Anyway the most freeing thing I ever realized is that no one gives a shit about you. Think of how many faces you remember that you pass in the street, or how many you remember from the gym? Almost none likely.

To answer your question I just walk up to a machine and read it. I've been working out for around 8 years and when I switch gyms or move I still shamelessly read the instructions on machines. I also watch a lot of youtube to ensure my form is correct.

Also value learning over being correct, I was misusing a machine not that long ago and someone corrected me, I could have blushed shit my pants and run out crying or whatever a greentexter would have done, but I thanked him and was grateful he saved me from snap city.

And I hate meal planning and I don't mind eating the same stuff everyday for every meal so I'm trying to keep it as plain and simple as possible
Looking at the things that are the easiest to prepare I noticed that ham and cheese sandwiches are only around 350 calories. They also give 30 grams of protein, 25 of carbs, and 15 of fat. So let's say I eat nothing but ham and cheese sandwiches, 4 times a day, totaling 1400 calories and 120 grams of protein everyday, would that be okay? Or would the lack of variety make me sick? Or bloated because of all the deli meat?

Or just cook a few large meals on Saturday and package them all for the week in Tupperware. Then give each one a number and draw it all from a hat like deciding who fights in a tournament.

That way you have something different each time.

Also you don't have to keep your meals plain. Use some fuckin pepper, garlic, paprika, red pepper flakes, all that good shit. There is nothing wrong with spices. It will never destroy a diet or a cut.
