It's caffeine, it does what caffeine does. Nothing special about it. Better to use pills desu so you won't have to make and drink the black sludge or pay out the ass for energy drinks

not worth the risk. Can work every muscle it hits just as/ more effectively with other, safer exercises. If you still want to do them, you're better off with rack pulls. Only reason to do them is if you're a powerlifter and plan on competing.

The best of the three. I've still seen too many lower back injuries and knee injuries from it to recommend heavy squats to everyone who isn't a powerlifter or competing athlete. There are safer alternatives that will allow you to build great legs without the risk.

I laugh hard when the majority of the people defending deadlifts in every DL thread are 5'10, 150 lbs and have been lifting for less than a year. brb I heard it's the king of exercises, anyone who doesn't do it is an idiot. Then a several older, jacked guys come in and agree with what I have written about DLs and are ignored.
You don't need any of these lifts to craft a good physique, be strong or athletic. In many cases the risks and injuries will end up being counterproductive to your goals.

Machines are godtier for isolating specific parts of your body and cardio (aka low body fat) will get you an aesthetic body quickly.
Squats, Deadlifts and benchpress are basically exercises to see how heavy you can lift until you injure yourself. Lunges are fine for lower body, benchpress is basically inverted push-ups with adjustable weight, and deadlift well, it's equally bullshit.
Cardio, isolations, intensity/volume and clean eating is all you need if your goal is aesthetics

I don't use this board often at all but I thought this would be the best place to post this.
Long story short, I am and extremely unhappy individual with a few mental illnesses and I have tried many different things to deal with the sources of my issues and things to cope with them, both with and without the advice of doctors.
The largest issue that I have identified, which creates a lot of other symptoms, like anxiety, insomnia, depression, suicidal ideation etc. is my critically low self-esteem because of past events.
I would like to hear some advice from people hear regarding commitment to becoming fitter and more attractive through training, and the impact that could have on my mental issues.
Currently I eat very little, but I eat what I believe is healthy (paleo diet).
I am 6'0 and 145lb and I basically look like a typical effeminate guy.
I really think that girls don't like this because most of the guys here (Australia) in bars/clubs are quite muscular, and don't seem to pay much attention to me (not to mention I radiate negativity).
I understand this is not /adv/ or some kind of psychiatric counseling board, but I am just interested in the mental impact of becoming more fit and muscular like the other young males around me, who seem to radiate positivity and confidence.
It helps. You have nothing to lose by trying it. Having hobbies makes you an interesting and more effective person, and lifting especially is good for your health, appearance, and confidence. Just make sure you get on a well designed program to start and stick with it. Consistency is key.

Getting /fit/ won't rid you off your mental illnesses but for me personally it has helped with anxiety and depression. When I feel I could dominate others in the room physically I definitely feel more confident in my presence, I hold my head higher and make more eye contact.
With that said it could go too far and it could create a very narcisistic individual that looks to constantly dominate others, Henry Rollins is an easy example
