Fuck clean bulking when you can dirty bulk and still get great results.

Two or these fuckers have 640 calories. I barely got that with half a dozen eggs and sausages this morning. Dirty bulking is easy af.

Climbing and disc golf

Training for climbing is just climbing a lot with upper body and core work. Legs are trained for mobility and maintenance. Disc Golf training is just throwing a lot of discs in open fields.

Dislike that I'm shit at both of them and I've been doing them for a long time now.

If building muscle is all about repetitions, why do exercises like planks and farmer's walks build muscle?

If they can build muscle just from tension, why can't I do one deadlift or bench press and hold it for 20-30 seconds for the same result?
39 posts and 2 images submitted.
>>
>>37458722
Because locking out at the top of deadlift doesn't work the same muscles you used to pull it up
>>
>>37458722
You can pause deadlifts and bench press
>>
>>37458722
When you are locked out in a deadlift or a benchpress the load is carried by your skeleton. Farmers walk/plank are putting an active load on a muscle. make sense?

Video?

Anybody here ever had thinning hair / thin hair, and had it get thicker / better? I've had very thin hair for as long as I can remember now, and I'm wondering if I started actually taking care of my body, if my hair would get thicker. I remember thinking i'd be bald by the time I was 20, and then by the time I was 25, and now I'm 27 and my thinning hair is exactly as it was when I was 18.

pic related...not me, but exactly what my head of hair looks like

i really want to know more because i'm in the same boat. i'm 18 and i have pretty thin hair but i don't know if it was as thin when i was a kid. i guess i didn't care but i remember it being it thicker, yet in photos it looks just slightly better than my hair now.

also how do i style thin hair, it seems that every hairstyle that is not a bowl cut just exposes my scalp too much in a weird way

Ladies (or gentlemen), have you had any experience getting an overdeveloped muscle back into proportion?

Over the last year my upper traps have blown up from heavy deadlifts and rows. I didn't notice the full extent of it until the weather got hot and I saw how huge they looked in tank tops and backless dresses. While I love the look of muscle, in this case they don't fit my frame well. I can't fix it by making my delts bigger, and my posture is correct. They're just a big triangle of bulk behind my neck.

My first thought was to just quit deadlifts and rows until they shrank down some, but after doing some reading, my impression is that continuing with a high protein diet and the rest of my routine (heavy bench, pull-ups, military presses) will probably still stimulate them enough for maintenance.... If so, then I assume my best option is to take a break from lifting period for a few weeks, eat a deficit, and do marathon cardio to burn down my muscle mass across the board, then rebuild more thoughtfully. The latter may sound crazy, but I've been out of the gym for surgery and know from experience lost muscle comes back quickly, so I could suffer through it if need be.

Any thoughts would be appreciated. I know traps are tremendously functional, but I've decided at this time I'd rather lose some strength in pulls if it means maintaining better proportions.

I think if you just went low protein you would lose the muscle.
Your body needs those amino acids so it'll start to burn your muscle.
I'm not sure if this is healthy though.
>>
>>37458484

That's a good point, thanks.

Probably not healthy, per say, but it would only be temporary.

Hey guys, I have had some shoulder issues and I believe it all has stemmed from bad posture. So I decided I would work on my deadlift form again. I have been doing corrective deadlifts and I think I have finally started to get them down. I am trying to keep a complete neutral spine and it is tough to do but im proud of my progress. Here is today's video, just hit 1135lbs. A few days ago I hit 115, then 95lbs last weekand posted here and got good advice. I tried to begin correcting things here. Let me know what you think!

Pull the slack out of the bar before you rip it. That means just do a tiny pull in the beginning when getting your position tight, until you hear the "click" in the barbell. Then you pull it off the floor. Otherwise you risk pulling yourself out of position.

Kangaroo broth.
>250g kangaroo mince
>200g zucchini
>200g carrot
>200g dice tomatoes
>250ml stock of your choice (beef for me)
>optional: black beans or other lentils, and rice for bulking.

Get a vegetti (like $6 off eBay), and prep the veggies; I prep multiple meals in advance and store them in containers. Toss mince in pan, cook all way through, add everything else and throw on a lid. Cook until veggies absorb the liquid and go soft. Worcestershire and tobasco sauce work equally well in it. Pic is with beans, 120cals less for without.

OK guys I hope you can help me out. 2 weeks ago I started jumping rope for my cardio, but it wasn't until a couple hours ago that I realised that I'm doing so much shit wrong. First of all I was used to just running at 8km/h for 30 mins before I started jumping rope and didn't realise the only way to jump rope is through breaks, so all I was doing was set a 30min countdown and I was just jumping as much as I could and every time I was losing my streak I would take a breath or two and do it again. Also I wasn't even doing a jump per spin, I was doing two jumps per spin which according to many fitness youtubers is a rookie mistake. Seems like that has created some fucking blisters on my feet right now. So I was wondering, how should I jump rope? All I want is to burn some calories, not learn any kind of fancy tricks. Hodgetwins suggest doing 1 jump per spin with two - which is the regular - for a minute, take a short break and this whole thing 30 times. So it's 30 minutes of pure jumping rope + the breaks. But I'm still a beginner and I don't feel like I can do it for that long, especially with 1 jump/spin, so I was wondering what other combinations could be good. Maybe 60 sets of 30 sec jump rope with 20 sec rest? What do you suggest guys?

>>
>>37458552
It's not shit.
You may not gain so much cardio as running, but improves your coordination.
>>
>>37458552
do you have anything to contribute on jumping rope apart from this off-topic comment or not? If not, shoo shoo of my thread, I kinda need some advice here.
