Hey /fit/
I'm a total bitch when I wake up due to not being a morning person. Has anyone done anything to ease waking up? Thinking of brewing some coffee and keeping it next to my bedside to drink when I wake up.
You're a total bitch because you're a fucking faggot. Grow up.
>>37854878
Kill yourself edgelord.
>>37854866
It will taste disgusting, if you can't even wait to brew coffee like a normal person just take caffeine pills
Calories determine your weight. That's just reality, I get it.
...But what determines your body fat percentage?
bump
>>37854846
Exercise (pretty much any)
Protein intake, to an extent
>>37854846
Calories.
Thanks for stopping by.
Now that the dust has cleared, can we discuss how idiotic of a routine SS(starting strength) is?
>No upperback work
>No direct arm work
>No work on rear delts
>Heavy back squats and deadlifts on the same day
It feels like a troll routine that works just well enough to fool people.
Also what's up with the cult-like ""community"" of it where anything straying outside of the """program""" is "NOT FOLLOWING THE ROUTINE" and thus a deadly sin and horrible?
Do retards honestly think if you add in hammer curls, face pulls and tricep extensions all of a sudden you'll stop making progress on your squat or some shit?
>>37854802
Did your last sentence just implicitly concede that SS, with some isolation work added in, is an effective program?
>>37854819
>Did your last sentence just implicitly concede that SS, with some isolation work added in, is an effective program?
And upper back work that is severely being lacked.
But yes I see no reason not to do direct arm work. what exactly will it hurt to do some curls and tricep isolations once a week? Just looks idiotic when you squat 365x5 and then your biceps look like they have atrophied from being bedridden for a decade
explain urself cucks
guys do tattoos get distorted after you start getting muscle/thicker body parts
bicep/fore arm area for example
pic not really related
>>37854699
tattoos are gay
>>37854699
Kek.
Is SS+GODMAD effective or is just a meme?
Do ss but add in more upperback work, rear delts and direct arm work.
Gomad is a huge meme though
>>37854690
GOMAD is a meme. Only an anorexic would benefit from that.
SS is, but it also isn't.
>>37854690
>he doesn't know its a meme
Is spinach a meme? What is /fit/'s favorite healthy vegetables?
Stop calling everything a fucking meme
>healthy
meme word
a food item can't be healthy or unhealthy
>>37854497
i bet your insufferable in real life
>>37854473
i really like turnip greens and kale. every fitizen should definitely try turnip greens or collared greens
Should i train calves yes or no?
why the fuck should you not?
>>37854466
because im not a faggot
I don't train them per se, and I have pretty good calves.
Although my house has stairs and I go up and down those stairs every day several times a day. I also jump rope as cardio, heard it helped calves.
I fucking did it /fit/
Started my first workout routine today and even though I only made it through 20 minutes of the 30 for my C25K, I am proud. Going to gym tomorrow to start resistance/weights.
Been eatin' egg whites, fruit and a shit load of veggies and I feel gud (if not hungry)
A few questions though. For the first month or two what are some decent snacks I can throw in to qualm that hunger from being a total lard ass?
Also, does anyone have any set in stone starter lifting routines? I need a lot of structure for my workout to stick with it due to time.
>>37854074
nice blog faggot
remember to never come back when you quit in a month
>>37854090
Not going to quit.
I want it too much.
I do appreciate the input on my post. Im sorry your short attention span couldn't handle it.
Heres some extra spacing just for your OCD
Thanks,
OP
PS: Are cashews good?

Your enthusiasm won't last without something to continue lifting for.
When I started my /fit/ness ride, I was a 300 lb fat fuck with nothing but a laptop and a dream of being thin.
Then...I met my waifu.
One day on Netflix she came to me when I was at my lowest point in life, and she gave me something to live for. I dieted for two years, rode my bike and took long walks as often as possible, and went down to 225 at my lowest. Once I started lifting, I sweated under a bar while listening to her dulcet voice over my i-pod. She kept me going through my worst, and through my best, and I would still be a fat loser without her in my life.
Pic related is her, my love.
Without a waifu, you'll quit in a month.
tfw she asks if you faked an orgasm
I feel terrible
I couldnt cum because of the condom and we were going at it for too long
I feel so guilty anons
>tfw cant cum cuz of depression meds
>>37853984
sounds like you need a powerbottom m8, women clearly dont cut it for you
>>37853984
don't feel guilty, just don't lie about it. I've accepted how hard it is for me to finish, and most girls just accept it.
>tfw get fit to finally have sex, then cant even finish
how do I making flexing the whole time i have my shirt off more comfortable?
dont flex all the time?
how insecure is this fucking board
>>37853836
/thread
>>37853836
While switching into my workout shirt I flex my abs. Then every time I go to get a sip of water at the gym I make sure to bend into the most aesthetic position and flex the arm pushing the button. After my workout I flex my entire body for the entire duration I'm sitting in the sauna.
The trick is to never reveal a body part un-flexed so people think that's just what you look like.
>not doing all of this
Just fucking lol, I'll probably lose my virginity before you.
Is Keto effective or is just a meme?
>>37853710
Are you stupid? Does the fact that it has a fancy name confuse you?
Keto is very effective at shredding fat.
The issue, once you return to a normal diet you will revert back to bad eating habits and balloon back up if you don't educate yourself about nutrition. I'm speaking from experience.
no it's great and super healthy :)
Hey, /r9k/ here
Is it true that lifting has made you guys lust after hambeasts? God forbid I become one of you. /fit/ used to be for people who wanted to become chad but you're literally in a worse position that were before. Even us austists at r9k are probably more normie tier than you
>women
>ever
low effort bait desu
all I can say is HNNNG
>>37853622
Is this how poorly robots troll?
what do if im sick?
What do you think?
>>37853508
dont go to the gym
i always feel weak and exhausted when im sick
the last thing you want is to squat and pass out
>>37853508
Increase your reps, lifting will make you get mad gainz when sick.
Stuff /fit/ Should Do
This is a thread dedicated to things rarely/never talked about that all /fit/izens should try at least once.
A cycle of 20 rep squats.
>warm up long and slow
>load up your 5rm minus 90lbs
>do 1x20
>no reracking until set is finished
>no excuses
>squat at least twice a week, 3 is going to be too hard for most
>add 5lbs every workout
>continue until you 20 rep your previous 5rm
I recommend doing 5 reps, pause for a few deep breaths, 5 more, deep breaths, then only 2 at a time until 20. Your lungs will go well before your legs, so pace yourself. This is a tried and true squat program that I've never seen talked about on here. It's the most intense thing I've ever done and recommend to anyone that wants to train hard.
>>37853436
>train hard
Wrong board
>>37853436
everyone should try gvt at least once
1/2/3/4 gvt is the benchmark for someone who lifts
I've read about this.
My usual workout is 165 lbs, 5x5. So I loaded up 135 and tried a set of 20. I got 15. Rested, did another set of 12 and then another set of like 8, just so I could say I got some volume. It was pretty rough.
What I'm experimenting with now is 135 5x5 pause squats.
I want to lift, like, every day. I don't get that surge of confidence unless I lift heavy weights and feel stiff in my muscles.
People say you should rest a day between workouts. How true is this? I feel like my muscles are almost fully healed by the next day anyway.
Chances are you're not lifting heavy enough, I was the same when I started off and I don't think there's anything wrong going everyday when you start if you can handle it. But make sure to rest later or you'll get a ticket to snap city
>>37853887
Maybe this
But it's also a matter of stretching, attention to proper form, adequate caloric intake, and sleep length/quality. I lift six days a week, because I enjoy daily routines a lot more than patchy schedules
Do this.
Dont have to follow exactly just use it as a general guide.
