Which one of these countries has the best /fit/ aspects and social aspects? I'm thinking of traveling to either Turkey,Hungary or Russia next year to continue studying dentistry. Any Advice would be appreciated.

is it true that you can eat whatever you want as long as you exercise?

i went a mile on an elliptical machine at the max level for 15 minutes and then ate Jimmy Johns submarine sandwich and a bag of crisps. Am I healthy?

I have lower back pain and my doctor said he suspects I have a Spinal Inflammatory Disorder. but the specialist will not see me before 8 months. is there something that's visible here?

I was studying intensely for a few months, and though I was going to the gym every day, I was also sitting for hours a day. I had really bad lower back pain and was ambulating like an old person until I started doing stretches around the hip joint, at which point the pain mostly resolved.

How many of you are actually /fit/?

I've been lifting for two years, can squat 400lbs and thought I was doing pretty well overall. It's been nice outside lately, so I thought I'd go for a run. I couldn't even run a mile without getting winded.

I enjoy lifting weights a lot more than running, but seriously that is pathetic, who can't run a fucking mile?

Running is a skill, just as a proper squat is.
Once you aquire that skill, you can come back to it and do good in weeks, if not days.

But you have to aquire that skill first.
Go run. Set yourself a bodybuilding goal and do steady state cardio as part of it. You'll get to the point where you can both rep out 400 and run a 6 minute mile.

judo's mostly about core and technique. the same reason you don't see many big BJJ players unless they're on juice. majority of wrestlers in the US have shit technique so they have to be stronger and faster than their more technical international competition, which explains why gable nut huggers always preach outwork your competition by taking enough shots, one will go through.

Dave Schultz had nowhere near the aesthetics that someone like Jordan Bourroughs has, and he's still regarded as the most skilled American to grace the mat.

I'm a fan of that speech but I don't think it's a good idea to associate it entirely with veganism. The message given by the video is "more plant foods, less animal foods = better" but that gets distorted when you mention veganism alongside it since people will judge it as if it's trying to say any non-vegan diet is terrible just by not being vegan, which isn't what the guy making the speech believes. It just makes it too easy to dismiss the video when you put it that way.

Newfriend question.
I am missing quite a few traits of Kline, but most noticeably I have very feminine hips, exactly like said man does.
I have a beard, chest hair, widows peak, a child, etc etc, and while not a genius I don't feel lower IQ than the rest of the population average.

Is it possible that people with with shit can only have a few symptoms or is it all or nothing?
Also how to I make my hips less noticeable (my waist line is a 34-36, but my stomach is around 30-32) it's noticeable.

I'm not completely sure since I haven't yet had my levels etc. checked, but I also have some qualities referring to Klinefelter, namely wide hips and breast growth (though no breast tissue, just fat), as well as being quite weak for my size. That being said, I would guess that, in my case at least, the cause has more to do with the fact that I did zero exercise from age 5 till I was 17 when I began half-assing gym, combined with a diet consisting mostly of simple carbs, a lot of coke and, from 15 on, a lot of beer.

And besides, even if you have KS, so what? Training decently for 10+ years will still make you stronger and fitter than the average man out there. Naturally a different story if you were considering competing, in which case you have my condolences.

Hello, /fit/ I rarely post, so forgive me for any mistakes etc.
I'm shipping on October 24 to OK for Army Basic training. I've gone from couch potato to where I'm at now in a year. I need to crush the APFT (Army Physical Fitness Test). My current stats are at 16min 2 mile run, 55 push ups and 50 sit ups. I can pretty much pass it now, but I'm scraping the minimum. To Max it i need 80 push ups and 80 sit ups (both two minute time) and the two mile run needs to be 13:00 or less. Anyone familiar with any plans to get me there? I have approx three months so that is plenty of time. I've googled ways to increase reps, but I am looking for a solid plan to follow. Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks a bunch, you're all very helpful anytime I ask.


tldr; I'm in good shape, need to be in great shape. Need to reach 80 sit ups and push ups and 2 miles in 13min. Looking for a plan. Thanks.

I think the most sensible thing to do
would do push ups, sit ups, and run, 3-6 days a week
since all you want to do is crush the test in these 3 specific exercises

One thing that really helped me on situps was planks. Get you one of those big inflatable balls, and do planks with your elbows propped up on it. Roll it around, front to back, side to side, circles, etc.
