I like to pop party drugs and hit up a sauna. Really helps my test backne out by opening pores I think, and it's just a fun place to be on ex and blow and shit.

I was just diagnosed with a superior and posterosuperior labral tear in my left shoulder. How fucked am I? Is surgery required? Can I still do some lifts or at least do legs? Fuck.

a labral tear isn't going to heal very well on its own unless it's very minor and you seriously lay off the weights. even squatting will be risky because your shoulders are still in a pretty compromised position.

Hey /fit/ lots of you guys are probably lurking because of the new year and we've all been there, but seriously stop lurking and start improving your diet, and walk for an hour a day. That's the first big step, then lurk until you have the courage to step into a gym.

But any other guys with facial gains threads, post 'em.

The fatasses that eat there obviously don't care about their health. Food is basically a drug at that point and if I remember it's free if they're over a certain weight. Why wouldn't you eat at a place that gives you your fix for free?

It's vile but I'm ok with it, I genuinely don't care what other people do with their bodies. Also I love looking a tubs of shit and feeling the satisfaction that I will never look like them. In way I admire their complete lack of giving a fuck.

i once asked (about a month) if you could help me with diet
i said i was eating twice a day,and walked around 6 miles/day and you told me i should be loosing weight like a madman (which did not happen)
back then i thought my stress was keeping me from losing weight
so today i want to tell you my progress:
>lost 22 pounds in a month (including really big christmas and new year's dinners)(which i consider a really good point)
>currently losing 2 pounds a day
>people do notice, especially girls
>went from a "barely fits" XXL to a "baggy" XXL , will be buying shirts this month
>pants and jeans just fall down
>doing around 50 pushups a day (before i couldn't even do 5)
>i now eat once a day (consider this includes meat+fruits+vegetables+water infusions [Like tea] ) + tea or just plain water (no sugar) (2-3 liters a day)
>belly went from overhanging to just hanging
> looking to break the 220 pound mark (stated at 290, now at 260)(at least 6 years since i got over 220)
>went from sleeping 4 hours a day to 8-10
>few pimples and oily skin in general
> currently i barely have stress
> i do not feel hungry, until like 8 pm (when i eat)
>i feel like my stomach needs way less food, (before i could eat an entire pizza , today i can barely eat 2 slices )
>my face is way less chubby
should i go to the doctor for my weight loss?

I don't know why you can't lift legs but whatever you do don't keep lifting if you can't do them. I have fucked myself up so bad by ignoring legs my first few years lifting, only ever focused on upper body pushing and pulling and have been suffering the last few years trying to catch my legs up and fix imbalances and shitty posture. If you can't or won't lift legs it's not worth all of this pain.

What are some healthy snacks? One of my many NY resolutions is to eat healthier. Breaking that down what that means is:

> Stop eating so much sugar
> Stop eating out at lunch
> Make majority of my meals

I LOVE snacking on chips, candy and chocolate. Does anyone have good alternatives for healthy snacking? I was already thinking things like raisins and cranberries for sugar and things like crackers to sub for chips. Also does any one have any go to meals that are cheap, easy to make? Does anyone else have a sugar addiction? How did you gotten over it?

I'm interested in starting to work out by swimming since I have access to a free pool now, I've been trying to look for guides on how to start swimming online, but most of the stuff on google seems to be meme clickbait articles filled with broscience, can /fit/ help me out?

Awesome. I keep a pretty standard diet of minimal sugar and bullshit food and swim 3-4 times a week as my workouts. I fucked my neck up a decade ago and get horrific hemorrhoids from lifting, so I had to stop lifting a long time ago. I ran for awhile which was nice, but when I found that I loved swimming two years ago I finally found the type of exercise I could not only excel at, but also enjoy it too. I've done long distance open water swim fundraisers and I love it!

ANYWAY, so here are some tips.

1. Plan your week to get at least 3 swimming exercises in, every other day. These are going to build up to really intense and fun exercises so you want to give yourself a day in between to rest.

2. Get on a healthy diet NOW. When you build up to higher intensity swimming exercises, you are going to easily be burning 1000+ calories each day. You will be hungry as a motherfucker and can really fuck yourself over by trying to Michael Phelps it and eat 20 chocolate chip pancakes.


You need to find the swimming strokes you like the best and learn to do them properly. I STRONGLY recommend taking classes first. They will help you with your stroke so that you arent doing it all fucked up. Once you do this, figure out which ones you like and which ones you don't.

I personally hate freestyle. Yes you can go very long distances with the least amount of effort, but I hate getting water in my ears and not being able to take breaths whenever I want to.

I like breast stroke, kicking with the kick board, butterfly, and using the buoy between my legs to only use arm power.

I would recommend getting a few training classes in and then just starting out slow and working towards longer and more intensive (fast) swims. Just take your time, TAKE YOUR TIME TAKE YOUR TIME

I grew up living in a villa in France with a private pool and I loved to swim there, right now I can't afford classes, and I feel you on the freestyle, I tend to get ear infections easily because of past complications, and I tend to get intense joint issues with other sports, glad to know that butterfly stroke is also acceptable for swimming for exercise.
Sadly I can't afford classes right now, since I'm living in Canada as an int. student, any pointers on how to self-teach properly?
I already made a swimming sched. for 3 swims inbetween my classes.

Forget freestyle then. It's not super hard to learn but don't worry about it.

Just lookup how to do breast stroke, kick, and butterfly.

Do those each for like 50 meters on your first exercise, and increase by 25 meters every other day.

Look up workouts, you'll be fine. Also, I know it sounds weird, but I use rubbing alcohol in my ears to prevent swimmers ear.

I use clear 70% and pour it in my ear, pump the lobe while its in there, let it fall out, and do the other ear the same. I do it before and after swims. Have not had swimmers ear in over two years.

Seriously though...
