So I'm an aspiring powerlifter and I have been using 5/3/1 for a year now. My lifts went from-

>BP: 250 - 300
>Dead: 410 - 500
>Squat: 360 - 430

I thought i'd post results just to show i'm not really bashing 5/3/1 but the volume is too much for me these days and i'm wanting to try out different programs. I've really had my eye on the Cube Method.

Does anyone have experience with the Cube Method? What other programs has /fit/ taken for a spin? What are your thoughts on them?

Yeah I put on some fluff doing this. But you don't get strong going ottermode. Fat can always be dieted off.

So I've been doing:
1. Meet your protein requirement
2. Then eat whatever you want to meet your calorie limit. (Sometimes junkfood. Sometimes restaurant food. Whatever.)

For bulking.

And my gains have been pretty bad.

Does it really matter that you eat "unprocessed" food or something? Have people made gains without a super "clean" diet?

I've been lifting for years now and it just goes like:
1. Bulk for a couple months and make like zero muscle gains, just slowly accumulate too much fat
2. Start cutting for a couple months until back down to 10-12% bf.
3. Repeat

Nice trips, I've made decent gains that way but I also take vitamins,omega X's and ZMA to avoid deficiencies.

I'm gonna preface this with a pls no bully. My dad bought a bowflex for 300$ and hasn't touched it. I've been doing a shitty ass workout routine for a while and I'm 140 and 5'10" with a tiny amount of fat and a tiny amount of muscle How do I go from couch potato to Fit/10 on a bowflex? I know I'm gonna need to find a way to do cardio but how can I into bowflex from 0 knowledge.

How did you start? Would love to try it because my flexibility is awful but every time I google something along the lines of starting/beginner yoga I get overwhelmed with all the different info and don't know what's the proper way to begin.

If your gym offers free instructor classes, do one. Most are basically fitness trainer level of memes, but they know proper stretches and can show you how to stretch different muscles you worked that week. Just as most fitness trainers might give you a shit routine, but they will ensure that you have good form and aren't hurting yourself.

That or find a good physical therapist that knows yoga, because they'll show you what you need to do for YOUR body.

The blissfulness to time ratio is actually much worse than for lifting. If you've got nothing going for you and too much time then OK do it it feels nice but if you have to actually manage your time then don't do yoga instead of lifting.

Is there anyone the people on this board actually admire? Role models and such? Or is everyone a manlet, lanklet, or whore?
