They hurt for the first week, but haven't since then It sucks because your smile always looks weird with them as an adult, but mah teeth are lookin good so it will all be worth it soon. Hi /fit/ can you help me? What am I doing wrong when running? My heartbeat is very high (>180bpm) and I need to slow down into slower pace/walk in order to cool down. I'd like to actually enjoy running instead feeling blood rushing into my face. I tried to slow down, but then I have trouble keeping this slower pace / cadence. I started running irregularly around 2 months ago, but still struggle with pace and heartbeat. What improvements could be made?

Have you gradually worked up to it or are you just starting at full blast till you can't stand anymore?
Take a week of rest then follow Couch to 5k, run at least 3 times a week, and read articles / watch videos about proper form
Since you mentioned cadence, it should be roughly 180 steps per minute for a jog; do you have something to measure that?

Well not really, I haven't gradually worked on running, I just assumed that I will try to run as much as possible (what's now around 5-7km) with couple of slow downs in between. I would like to gradually build up the distance as well as speed.
I just watched videos on how to place feet correctly to avoid damage to joints. Would you recommend a good runner's youtube channel? I used sport wrist watch to measure cadence (Garmin).

Hello dear /fit/izens. I've recently started to get myself into the food aspect of fitness, counting calories and getting informations about macro/micronutrients.
But then I've hit a wall: you have to pay to have the macronutrients part of MFP and I have no fucking idea how to activate the micro part of S Health (it does count the macros though).
I therefore decided to do my own mobile app for this, which will be only about cal, macros and micros in details (as in, my goal is to have a complete list of the useful macro/micronutrients along with a few examples of in which food you can find them). The goal here is for me to learn about macro/micros along with developping my skills in java android.
