A form like cannot be kept all year round.
Also, he's extremly dehydrated.
>>40662084
It doesn't look healthy
is it stupid to start lifting without a goal body in mind?
>>40662073
I would say the objective when starting to lift is to get used to lifting. Creating that "addiction" through endorphin high, learning to enjoy it, to make it fit in your life/schedule.
Once it has become natural for you to go to the gym, it's just a matter of tweaking your training to meet your goals.
Most people don't even know about the different body goals before starting at the gym. If the first few month achieve little physical result but create a long-lasting habit of workout, it's all good.
As a beginner you should just focus on short term, acheivable goals, get used to setting them and hitting them.
For example, you enter the gym and you're a weak pos.
20kg OHP
30kg Bench
40kg Squat
60kg Dead
Now you just need to think (and ask /fit/ for advice) on goals for yourself.
Nothing too difficult that its impossible, but nothing too easy that you barely need to try.
So perhaps:
40kg OHP
60kg Bench
80kg Squat
100kg Dead
In lets say 3 months
Double your strength.
Go.
>>40662073
Yes, without a blueprint your body won't know how to grow and your body will just balloon out with mass.
/fit/ what do you think of Jamie Lewis' Chaos and Pain Commandments?
>Lift heavy, motherfucker
>Variation is the spice of life, and anyone who doesn't like spicy sucks.
>Stop worrying about your form, already.
>You can lift more often, and heavier than you think, fuckface
>For fuck's sake, train in a way you enjoy.
>Your genetics are not your greatest limitation- your mind is.
>Get off at least three times a day.
>For the love of all that's unholy, eat as much protein as you can.
>Fight the fucking power and embody the Hellenic concept of kalokagathia.
>>40661498
He's not wrong about what you need to do to be great, but his goals and methods are at odds with what most people want. This comes up in the number of times in his training books say some variation of "yeah, you're going to constantly be some level of injured" and "this is about achieving or breaking in the attempt".
Which is solid reality if your goal is to squat 700+ and chase records. Maybe not such a good approach for the average person who just wants to look decent.
Sounds like a roiding American muh iron lyfe faggot Tbh
>>40661498
he sounds like someone with an IQ of about 80
Forgive me /fit/, for I have sinned.
Cheat day general.
Why weigh yourself every day?
did your shits smell fucked?
How can you only gain so little weight?
I can gain a whole 6lbs overnight from a cheat meal
Took me and my dad a few days to make this... But i'm very satisfied with the results
>>40661340
>>40661344
All that is left is to cover it with a anti rust and paint it.
Pretty nice, hopefully it's drilled into studs otherwise rip. But it looks well done so I'm assuming you're not stupid.
Where did Scooby grow up? I don't want to know his name or anything but reading his bio on his site he said his family are Dutch Reformed and he spent 2 years in Germany for work. I know he lives in California now but are there many Dutch people in California?
>>40661313
Back when he wasn't openly gay and got accused of being, he used to say something like "i am a gay african jew, and if you can tell me what that has to do with fitness i will happily answer your question" and then like "2 out of the 3 are correct".
so he might be african.
>>40662796
>nose size
>whinny voice
>good with money
>defensive
yep genius, defiantly an african and not a kyke
Scooby redpills
>he is a flaming faggot
>he is on trt but it's okay because he got a script from a roid friendly doctor
>he can't cook
>he really doesn't know anything about nutrition
>his exercises are retarded
hello /fit/,
I am 6'3" & weight about 170 on average. Lately I have noticed that because of my height & time spent sitting/standing all day, my spine is beginning to curve a bit more than I like at the top where you typically see a hunchback form which has resulted in this "forward head" posture. Since I've noticed it, I've tried sleeping on my back to realign everything slowly over time, but I think it's going to take more to see an effect because of my long days standing/sitting constantly putting strain on my spine. I am also becoming mildly skinny-fat do to my lack of time for exercise since I am constantly working. Obvious answer to that is diet, which I am making a huge turnaround on already.
besides that, I was wondering if there are any stretches/bedroom exercises I can do to combat both of these issues before they become a large problem? Mainly worried about my back, I've already began experiencing some pains.
>>40661050
You need to strengthen your back. Do deadlifts, rows, pull-ups, and high volume facepulls.
How many hours a week do you work?
>>40661050
>>40661078
He needs to see a fucking chiro
I do back work for days and it didn't help my posture. Sitting in an office chair all day ruined my back and gave me real prominent forward head posture and hunched shoulders. It was so bad that even when I sat in a reclined position, I would subconsciously pull my head forward. I would physically default to bad posture, even when it wasn't the easiest position to be in. It got to the point where even if I was forced into a standing or sitting position that gave me neutral posture, I'd just automatically contract muscles to have forward head, hunched shoulders and anterior pelvic tilt.

This vid helped me a lot: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FTV6UCh-yhs
Do planks and other exercises which strengthen your abs/core.
Also do not rest your arms on the keyboard and mouse all the time or you could get shoulder problems like me.
Today's the day of Janoy's competition
Will he win or will political judges rig it against him?
>>40661020
Kek, Janoy's gonna show up at the comp at 20% bf. It's gonna be piss.
>>40661020
It all politics bro.

>5 min rests between sets in SS
Wtf am i supposed to stay in the fucking gym all day long? How the hell am i supposed to add some isolation exercises to this routine.
Can i just rest between 2 or 3 min or will i collapse on the next rep?
>>40660918
train legs meanwhile
>>40660918
Would smash / 10
>>40660918
There is no set in stone rest period length. Rest as long as you need to in order to complete every rep of every set. This goes for SS, and all pure strength training. I do Texas Method as a crappy powerlifter and I will seriously rest more than 10 minutes between the last few sets on volume day because 5x5 with 470 lbs is goddamn hard.
If you're doing something for conditioning, or accessories with the main goal of size increase (which you shouldn't be doing on SS, or as a beginner period), limiting rest in between sets of whatever you're doing can be a good idea.
And don't fucking add accessories to SS. Squats, bench press, OHP, deadlifts, power cleans, and chin ups are all you do. It works best that way, and Rip has never said ANYWHERE that one SHOULD add stupid bullshit to it.
Who's getting /thicc/ here? Discuss thicc specific inspirations, routines, nutrition, etc.

Before asking questions, please take a look at the pastebin.
What is Thicc Mode?
>Thicc mode is traditional male aesthetics. Thicc mode for /fit/ has been described as a body built from barbell strength training with accessories (texas method, madcow, 5/3/1), 13% to 17% bodyfat that has crossover to strength or contact sports ability. Twinks, ottermode, & contest ready bodybuilders are not husbando mode.

Is the only option to gain wide midsection is by doing heavy squat and deadlift without belt?
>>40660964
Anyone got a name for guy?
I am 100% convinced that it is impossible to build small chicken leg calves into something impressive. I have never seen any proof of it and all other threads asking for proof always get a bunch of morons who can't read either posting only an after pic (useless - without a before picture you could easily be full of shit and have always had large calves) or not even posting any pictures at all and just writing "yeah, I gained 5 inches on my calves" (I could say I have a 15" dong, does that make it true?)
So, I'm making a challenge to show me a SINGLE before AND after picture of a set of calves, that went from SMALL to something substantially larger without implants, and I will eat my shorts. It cannot be done, and I'm willing to bet money nobody can prove my claim wrong.
Don't even bother posting if you're going to post only an "after" picture, had good calves to start with, or if you have no pictures at all and are just thinks because he says something it makes it true. Thx.
>I can't research so read my novel of a post and spoonfeed me
>>40660258
calf muscles need a shit load of time under tension to really grow. Pretty much why you see big calves on either former fatties or older guys.
>>40660269
Listen fucking dipshit. You can't find pics of something that's impossible. That's why I offered the challenge. It can't be done and you can't prove me wrong.

I make my bed.
Jk, not really.
>>40660096
Unironically this
>what accessories should I add to SS
>If I take out deadlifts will it ruin my gains
>deadlift alternatives?
Also general SS thread for anyone to ask questions about the program created by gains god rippletits
pullups
yes
no
>>40659868
I'd also add some arm work after about 5 months assuming you're a beginner.
ALWAYS DO DIDDLY'S
>>40659872
thanks, do you think adding situps and curls and other brosplit exercises would hurt gains or are they fine to do.
