Ok coo/ck/s, so i came up with this recipe idea yesterday, and I really liked it. Wife loved it.
Here's the thing, I have no idea if it's already a thing. I mean it probably is, but googling didn't help me find anything.
So tell me, does this sound like a thing someone's thunk before, or did I actually think a good thunk and find a good thing all on my own?
If it's already a thing, what the hell is it called? If its not a thing already, what the hell do I call it, because Steak Roll Ups is stupid.
Pic related, is kinda what the steak looked like, though a little shorter.
Anyways, here. I know the recipe is shittily written but I'm at work, not sitting in my kitchen.
Steak Roll Ups
God help me that name sucks
Stir fry cut steak strips.
-these are about an inch wide, 2 to 3 inches long, and ¼inch or less thick
Minced garlic
Mozzarella, cut in to strips 1 inch long ⅓ inch thick and wide
Sun dried tomatoes, julienne cut
Garlic powder
Salt
Toothpicks in water
Marinate the steak in minced garlic overnight
Lay 1 strip of steak out,
set one strip of mozzarella on end,
add sun dried tomato, about one strip of tomato about the length of the cheese
Roll up, spear with toothpick,
Set on greased baking dish
Repeat
When finished, lightly sprinkle with salt
Bake at 425, 6 minutes.
While baking take more strips of mozzarella and cut these into thirds so that you have cubes. Group the cubes up and sprinkle with garlic and salt
At end of 6 minutes, set a cube of cheese, garlic side up, atop each steak roll.
Broil for a minute or two until the cheese starts to brown on top.

Searched the catalog and didn't see anything about what /ck/ usually eats for breakfast.
So, what does /ck/ routinely eat for breakfast? I usually make a batch of scrambled egg muffins for the week so I can eat breakfast after I workout on campus.
>>8060330
Either a piece of fruit, usually banana or apple, or a couple hardboiled eggs. If I have more time I might fry a couple eggs to eat with toast.
I usually eat a grain-based food, some dairy and a bit of fruit, none of which are necessarily whole foods.
Yesterday, I had breakfast cereal with yogurt and banana and this morning, I just finished two slices of toast with butter and jam.
Tomorrow, I'm gonna have rice pudding with milk, dried cantaloupe and toasted pumpkin seeds.
>scrambled egg muffins
There's a café near here that sell those for $3 each. They call them frittata muffins. I've made something similar: scramble cook some eggs to just coagulated, but not browned in any way, then mix the egg curds with raw egg, shredded cheese and chopped chives, pour into a cake pan, top with more cheese and bake until set.
Then cool, slice and serve.
>>8060330
What are they like?
What kind of flour do you use?
Ever throw in a teaspoon of hot curry powder to spice up the bash?
Okay /ck/, I need your help.
I need to cut the fuck back on carbs. Its just killing me. Every single bite I take makes my fat ass grow. But I dont want to eat fucking salad 24/7.
Please recommend me recipes.
Other info: I have a job, so I dont have much time for lunch, the best option would be making it at home previous evening. The cheapest meat here is pork, but chicken is also cheap, so these meats would be preferred.
Thanks for any suggestions.
Don't worry about carbs. Just eat less.
>it's not my behavior its the carbs!!!
eat less more more fatass.

A homosexual sociology grad student that I met through my girlfriend when he was in undergrad at my college reposts articles that he thinks makes him look intelligent to Facebook 10 times a day. He never reads any more than the title of the article. He posted this shit once and I actually read the scientific papers the article was quoting and they were about stuff like how humans get sick after you bombard them with radiation and nothing that really supported the thesis of the article.
>Using a microwave ever.
>microwaves destroy nutrients
>microwaves create carcinogens
>microwaves bombard you with radiation
so can every other cooking method. propaganda sucking half-truths like this are why I think that alt-health advocates are full of shit
What are five skills a chef MUST HAVE? I say:

A chef?
Menu design, HR management, vendor management, expediting, then maybe cooking.
>>8062347
that's perfect if you run a restaurant that serves scrambled eggs, eggs benedict and random fuckery that the chef has no prep on.
I sense a Michelin star on the way

Is drinking 8-10 glasses of water a day really beneficial or just a meme?
I just drink it a little more often than when I'm actually thirsty. But I'm not healthy.
>>8056453
I don't know how much water you should be drinking, but I do know that the terms "meme" and "wive's tale" are not synonymous.
>>8056453
I drink about a 1-1.5 gallons of water a day, fucking love water.
Never really get headaches and my complexion is immaculate.

They should be coming out better unless you love the taste of preservatives that much.
