Africa has trillions of dollars worth of natural assets, that are unharnessed and untouched, it also has hundreds of millions of men, who would kill for work, but just cannot get it. If we find a way to exploit this desire for work, and harness these natural assets, trading them across the dollar, there could be huge potential. Africa could also have a chance to rebuild itself with a workforce and an industry.

Is conventional wisdom about business wrong? Most of the reading /biz/ has recommended me goes against what is commonly believed.

Yeah there is a whole different spectrum of autism in this board. Full of baby boomers, shilling out advice that only worked in the 70s and even then it really didn't.

Good morning, /biz/

I'm a young guy who knows he's worth more than being a wage slave his whole life, and you've probably thought the same at some point. Loads of people are successful from a young age.

I don't want to be a part of the corrupt system if I don't have to be.

I'll be in my mid-twenties in four years. What can I do so in that time I'll have earned my first million dollars?

Buy kneepads, suck a thousand dicks for 1 dollar each, by then you'll be great at sucking dicks, so apply for a job, then give you boss the most amazing blowjob so he hands over his multi-million dollar company to you.

>Receive email about position
>Was not selected
>Thank them for interview, ask for advice on applying in the future
>They praise interview, pointing out my "poised, professional manner"

What do they really mean by "a better fit"?

I'm interested about chemical engineering . The thing is: I suck at math. And all basics subjects for this degree are: math, physics and a little bit of programing and then chemistry (i suck at all of them, as much as I like to pretend I'm good at everything and everyone thinks I'm the shit).

But if i say i want to change my degree for the third time to my parents They'll beat me up and then well all die together. I think it matters to say that I changed my degree twice now and all friends of my family and my own family have lost faith I me in the academic department. My parents say I don't even have to do it anymore.. They just say they'll set up a business for me and I don't have to study. That shits on my confidence so damn hard.

Is it possible to do a degree while being bad at these subjects that are at the core of the course? If I study will I become good at mathematics like Iam in philosophy and derivatives? Or am I just dumb?

Take an IQ test. Then match it with the average IQ of a chemical engineer.

Otherwise there is nothing wrong with doing a job that does not require a high mental capacity, you can do trades or other skilled work that is high in demand
>>
>>1101995
If you suck at math I guarantee you'll have a tough time with ChemE. Why the hell would you be interested in it?

How do I screen for stocks?
What does "doing your homework" entail of?
10 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
Doing your homework means you buy a few shares of some company everyone knows (Disney, Tesla, etc...) and then spend a good amount of time on here like you're making money, make sure to let others know to do their homework.
>>
I see how it is.
>>
If you're asking yourself how to screen for stocks, you need to study more technical analysis.

I'm new like you OP

Started reading the intelligent investor, but it's so old, fundamental analysis is outdated for most investors, and I felt like I wasn't learning anything.

Read a random walk down wall street instead. It's modern, mostly about index funds and the stock market, but explains your other options as well. Entertaining and informative. Most importantly, I know I will never do something retarded with my money after reading it.

In IV is more advocating the emotional framework one must be in when investing, not so much the technical side.

I recommend these two:
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Debt:_The_First_5000_Years
Attempts to answer the question 'what is money, really?' and gives a fantastic birds eye view of world economy and economic hostory in the process. Captivating.

http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/22889809-stress-test
Inside view of how the Obama administration dealt with the financial crisis.

I think the two are written with opposite but not polar and certainly not unreasonable assumptions about the moral nature of capitalism.

I'm a NEET with some cash and some stuff I could sell to get more cash. Is there any kind of bank that would let me open an account with them with no proof of employment, or is buying prepaid debit cards my only hope to purchase things online?
4 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
>>1102316
Any bank will let you open an account with them, but they're probably going to charge you for the privilege of holding onto your money

Your best bet is probably a credit union.
>>
>>1102319
All the credit unions here expect you to have 5k+ in savings or they charge you through the roof.

Biz should I get a Masters in Managment for $24,000?

Could this be of any benefit to me? I have only maybe two years of intermittent work experience.

>>
>>1102253
Why get that over an MBA though?

How much money are you making right now?

The big cost may not be the money you pay to the school but the opportunity cost from two years of not working.
>>
>>1102287
I would get it over an MBA because I don't have the work experience for an MBA.

Also, it's only a nine month program. They seem to be more popular in Europe but there are several MiM programs in the US now.

I haven't been able to do much with my BA non-stem so I've become interested in the MiM.
