I need a credit card. I have no credit history. Ive been employed for 4 years straight and have direct deposit.
I applied for a student card with Capital One, with a 99%(as advertised at the time) acceptance rate and got declined. All information was correct.
What do.

Get a secured card.
You send them an initial deposit and they send you a credit card. If you default on payments, they'll take it out of your deposit.
Build your credit score up with it, and then you can apply for a real credit card.

Yep. To expand:
Secured cards sometimes get put on blast for having higher fees, but it's cost of doing business and your only going yo do it for a short time.
Once your credit is unfucked they will refund your deposit and turn it into a regular card
While credit building use it for predictable expenses so you always know how much is being put on it AND PAY THE WHOLE FUCKING BILL EVERY MONTH. I am partial to putting my bills ( gas, elect, internet ect) to auto pay on a credit card, then pay it off at the end of the month in one shot. It's a convenient way to pay bills ( differnt due dates and shit) plus it moves a predictable am out through credit.
Try to keep the balance less than half of the limit during the month ( ideally more like 30% for best utilization)
Interest will be high as fuck so don't pay any.
what's a professional sounding word to put after my name as my website domain, eg:
www.GeoffSpace.co.uk
I don't want my full name to be the domain because I already get more than enough spam
what would someone use if their name was taken for example?
How does pay work when you outsource employ people in another country to do a job? What country's laws govern it?
Example I live in the UK, so I would have to pay UK minimum wage etc right? But then are there regulations in other countries which I have to adhere to also?
>>1097099
You pay the minimum wage and pay the taxes of the country where the work is performed.
So if you just need unskilled labor pick the poorest shithole you can find, pay the muscle guys a little better than the peasants and the only people you need to pay decently are the number crunching ones.

get a work, is that simple.
Thinking about starting a business using UAVs for topography and photogrammetry. What is the ground floor? Anybody with experience know startup costs and time to break even? What are some good markets to jump into?

I think you're like the ninth person to ask this. The few responses people give are generally demoralizing. We just don't care about drones, bro.
But hey... If you already have customers lined up fucking do it! If you don't, work on that first. I know it's like a catch22, but that's just business, dude.
Good luck!
Real estate development. Construction companies are often required by equity providers to regularly update them with aerial photos. Some companies I have seen will charge 2-5k
Right today a guy conducting surveys came to my door and at first i was gona say im busy but looking at the guy I felt bad cos i couldnt imagine one person who would stand their in the cold and give this fucker the time of day, being the naive little shit I am I invite him in and try to be nice offering food and drink; anyway his survey laptop didn't work in the end but he mentioned his job was all commission based I didn't give it much thought till now I remembered being at this party a while back and I decided to be in charge of ordering the pizzas ( I know alot of back story but I think its needed) so the delivery guy came and it was some Vietnamese kid reminded me of glen from the walking dead anyway I was a little high so I offered him a beer and we sat down and talked about life, he told me used details from his deliveries to fill surveys and he got paid I honestly didn't give this a second thought but now I'm thinking would it be possible to make a decent amount of money like this. ATM i make all my money betting im a lazy ass student trying to avoid getting a job. Thoughts or experiences
Nice blog post
Can anybody show me how to do this with the calculations ? Kind of lost.
Answer: what would the joos do?
Can't be bothered AT ALL doing these calculations but its really simple stuff senpai. Calculate each ration, multiply them together and boom you have the growth rate.
You look at each ratio/multiplier to understand the sources of growth and where it is lacking compared with the industry ratios.
If you're really stuck if sure if you google part of the question using " " around the search terms (so it searches the exact sentence/part of sentence) you will find the answer.
The other day two smartfags were going on about CHK and the whole situation surrounding them. One guy said the stock would shoot up on monday. Please reveal yourselves smartfags and explain to me again why I should invest in CHK when its on the verge of bankruptcy.
IIRC they went huge into gas but gas has remained super cheap last 5 years or so. Unless they somehow pivoted to oil I wouldn't touch it

They borrowed too much money without studying fundamentals. Former CEO/founder wrote himself some sweet deals while head of a public company. Their leasing people get sued ALL THE TIME over what they promise vs. what they deliver. Their front room did lots of neighborly things for the community but their back room did all the greasy finagling and chiseling. Former CEO related to Kate Upton.
CHK doing all the things associated with the investigation of possible bankruptcy. Invest in CHK after bankruptcy, not before.
DEBT.
Pic related of Ms. Upton and Aubrey..
/biz/ why can't I download a program that high frequency trades all day everyday from my computer? I googled it, but the companies in control have google filtering results I'm sure.
Because no one gives an algo thats profitable away for free
Also if they did the strategy it uses to make money would be eroded by people downloading it and using it
"Our business engages proactively with stakeholders to ensure a collaborative and productive relationship with our business and our clients. We advise our clients by implementing strategies to optimise, synergise, streamline and to create value for shareholders"
Gee whiz thanks for telling me all about what your business does, and what a day in the life looks like in the stream i'm applying for. I totally understand what I will be doing every day at this business.
Does anyone else hate ambiguous business jargon?

When I was at grandma's house a few weeks ago, her friend who was just as old as she was was there as well. They were talking about how they stopped caring about the technological advancements a long time ago, but that they now need that knowledge for some shit (send their grandchildren a whatsapp message or whatever).
I thought about reaching out to these old people and telling them about what they missed out on and how that shit works.
Critique? Ideas? Suggestions?

Yeh so , you could do in house lessons. My wifes folks own a computer repair store and they offer this service and it makes them decent money.
Finding clients might be hard though. You cant advertise on craigslist for instance

Could you tell me more about the product they sell? Do they use certain resources you know of?
Hey guys, I have a high possibility of landing a job at one of the large commercial brokerages (P&C) and was wondering if anyone could fill me in on the details/their experiences
I understand that the field doesn't attract the best talent, and people say those with talent/brains can easily rise to make a lot of money (competing with IBD) with very easy hours
However, I've also heard the work is very mind numbing, with several people saying their switch to private equity, at almost 20 hours extra a week, being worth it mentally
Anyways, if anyone can tell me anything about the industry please let me know
Looking for guidance here, this is through an effort to drastically increase my income in order to remove debnts.
I'm already employed in a substitute temp position ($14.60/hr) with one company that I like and want to move up in, but there is only one more (permanent, full-time) tier to move up into ($16.40) before I've exhausted what my bachelor's can do for me. The hours that currently I pick up are depressingly sporadic though, mostly weekends that no one wants. The hope is that some point they'll put a notice for an opening for the $16.40 one and I'll have a foot in the door compared to most other competition.
I'm awaiting results from an interview for a second job that I totally nailed, which is full time but also temp, no benefits. Whether it will lead into something at a higher pay grade is undetermined, but they will start me at M-F 9-5 full time at $12.20. I've heard they are a good company to get into once they place you, and it is the largest employer in this side of the state.
I guess my question is, based on the information I've provided, can I keep up this amount of work? Am I being a baby for thinking it might be scary to work 9-5 Monday through Friday as well as weekends at the other place? Which company do you think I should stick it out with should I have to choose between one or the other?
I say go for doing both, with the full knowledge that you will quit whichever one feels shittiest when/if you can't take it anymore.
This approach allows you to maximize profits and get a feel for which job would be better for you. The other advantage is it gives you a mental escape hatch which I find works wonders for your productivity and happiness at a job - if you go into work every day thinking "if I really dislike something systemic about this job, I can just quit it and I'll be fine" - you will approach that job with a much more no fucks given attitude, which at least for me encourages me to stick my neck out and get noticed.
>>1095863
It's quite simple. First, decide which job you value more. Then take on both jobs. Make sure to put 100% into the one that you value more and try to keep the second one afloat. If it turns out too tough or if you fuck up then sacrifice the second job and move on.
