Looks like you fell for the static specialized intelligence meme propagated by your socialist grade school teachers.

If you suck at math, or anything else, you can get better at it by practicing.

I'm a German currently studying my master's degree. I'm fine with working everywhere on this planet afterwards so I apply at many (new) job ads by Google. I just wonder if that might be a disadvantage if they can see I'm applying basically anywhere. Or should I just go on without giving up?

What else company is on a similar level? I thought about Microsoft as well. I just wanna start in a big company as it makes it easier later to find another job. Also good payment of course.

applying for positions in different countries won't matter. what matters are your qualifications. if your qualifications are top tier then they will consider you, whether you apply for a job in Germany, the US or Japan. you wrote that you are doing a masters. what kind of master is it? is it somehow relevant to them? what about other skills? just having some master's degree won't be enough because they can literally chose from 1000s of other Germans, Americans or Japanese who did the same master and who have the same skills. what you need for them to consider you is something that sets you apart from other applicants.

3.What is the best bank to use?

banking with your local credit union

Ill take a look into that

I'd like to brainstorm with some anons...
19 with GED(within the top 15% in all subjects and top 1% in writing, achieved at age 16)
Some college (parents income left me with no financial aid, could not afford class and work full time)
Basically I have jumped jobs every 3-4 months for a few years, always full time, always in the range of 12-18/h, including flat rate positions. I have experience in bicycles, motorcycle and engine mechanic work, and on the side I have experience with various projects using Linux server side applications and dedicated servers(including physical networking and setup of said servers)

Long story short, I'm tired of jumping jobs or not making enough cash, I am considering making my own managed server hosting company. I would remotely manage and settup software on server for said clients based on contract set pricing with a term, using Ovh.com or subsidiaries servers.)

With this plan I can manage the servers from home, work fewer hours with literally 0 cost to me, and make a decent paycheck if I have contracted customers with set terms. This enables me to pursue my hobbies, work in comfort with my own time, and move anywhere I want if business and finances permits... I am not a monetary person, I need a motorcycle and a bicycle, and a place to sleep and I'm happy anywhere I go.

Pick at my plan and ask details, I would like to hear any and all suggestion towards putting this plan into action or another plan that may lead me to independence.

Alittle more info from Op,
I'm not opposed to living in foriegn countries for lower living costs, and have an interest in Japan in the near future.

In regards to the server applications my target audience is wide for webserver, email, forums settup, offsite backups or file servers, internet radio station, video game servers and voice servers. I have settup various groups I'm affiliated with all of these applications and can easily configure and manage them remotely.

As I said before, I'm not looking to make a killing, if I made 50,000 USD a year I almost wouldn't know what to do after 3-5 of years other than waste the fuck out of it or save it.

>>

You are correct, in a sense. You can study the same thing to get any of those job titles. You could study different things and end up with those job titles. One company may have all three employed. One company may have only one title in use. A person with one title may be doing all three jobs. Or you might have three people with all three jobs doing the same job.

The point is that it doesn't matter, it's just a title. The statistics try to be good about this but the grouping is a bit arbitrary in some cases.

I'm thinking about getting another master's degree. This time in finance (MSF) soon at the same university I got my first master's. The job market for my master's in physical engineering (PE) is improving; however, I ended up getting blacklisted due to subpar performances and burnt a bridge with my adviser in MPE a month before I graduated. The adviser refused to talk to me and badmouth my name in the profession. My classmates have refused to even talk to me since graduation. I have a stellar resume and cover letter, but I have not gotten a single interview.

Is this worth it? I can bankroll this degree, but I plan to take out student loans since the starting salaries pay well after graduation especially a year or two when earn my CFA, work at a boutique firm, and then move up for a transnational bank.

I think this is fairly close to a business question and I respect biz/ more than any other board for honest smart advice.

Writing my letter of intent for grad school. Should it be concise and straightforward to the point almost like a resume or should I inject a bunch of personality in there to make the reader identify, sympathies and like me? If it's both, what should the ratio be...80/20?
I want it interesting but I don't want to cheese it up or go of on irrelevant autobiograpical tangent either. What should the tone be?

What kind of grad school? In any case it's best to be honest and straightforward, and not too cute.

Depends entirely on the person reading it. What's to the point and direct to one person is cold and angry to another. Figure out who is going to be reading it and doxx the fuck out of them then adjust your style accordingly.

Why can't we issue stock in ourselves?

Say I have total assets of 1m,
and an income of 100,000.

I issue 1m ANON stocks, I retain 80% of them.
So now my net worth is 800k with 200k shares worth $1 on the open market.
When I make my 100k a year it is considered retained earnings and I keep it all for myself to further grow my net worth, therefore increase my share value.

Now if the market thinks I have a high growth potential. Say I’m an up and coming musician or actor, my net worth would sky rocket and it would make me and my investors a whole lot wealthier.

This idea is somewhat convoluted and I was hoping some of you could clear it up, I was trying to come up with a way that we could invest in rising stars in a way that would make everyone money if they became more valuable/famous. For example, investing in a Katy Perry in 2007 or a Kanye West in 2001, or an Adele in 2010.

Another idea I had is having musicians issue bonds that are appraised at the value of their average tour revenue. An example would be, Taylor Swift average tour revenue 75m, bonds issued worth 50m, 25m retained for Taylor, bond payments are 2.5% yearly, 2500 bonds at $2.5k a bond. Bonds would be triple A rated because they are backed by her net worth.

(1/2)

>>
Cont.

These bonds would allow her security because it is not always guaranteed how much she is going to make per tour, and they offer an overall interest payment of 1.25m. That amount is easily serviceable for her.

Corporations are considered people by law and they have stock issuance abilities. These “People” stocks would have to go through an entirely new exchange, ex. IIIB (International Individual Investment Board.) The requirements for listing would be evaluated later, it would probably revolve around line of work, and credit score.

These are just some ideas, don't take them too seriously. I would like to hear what you guys think about making these ideas more plausible and realistic. If any of you want to go through with implementing this contact me at [email protected] (not my real name). I have a sizable amount of money I would be willing to contribute to start this.

the first idea will fail because of laws regarding issuing shares, tax, personhood etc

the second idea is just a simple debt instrument/contract that should work fine of course you'd probably want to do it through a company anyway

Ok /biz/ help me out.

I'm about to open an escort agency. I'm leasing an apartment downtown for $1600 a month. Location is good.

I plan on operating it as an in call. Operations start in March. Currently I have one girl who will work 2 days a week.

Basically I operate this as a day rental place. I have 90 openings a month. Each opening costs $150 and runs 8 hours.

This girl will cover $1200 a month working 8 shifts out of the 90. Leaving 82 openings.

This is legal gray area in my country.

No, no, no, iunno, maybe.

I need to attract independent girls, those who need a space to see clients.

The agency is separate, girls who have no experience we'll be marketed through the agency and I'll collect 25% of their earnings.

From what this girl who'll be working, she sees 5 clients a for $250/hr in a single shift.

There's a huge market to fill, I need to do it right.
