I'm sorry, wtf is your actual idea?
To sell cheap smallgoods to deli's and cafes based on bargains you bought off the internet?
You've done a horrible idea of explaining yourself. No wonder no one has answered you.
>>1511173
Food in all states of Australia has considerable regulation costs.
These are mitigated to a degree if its dry goods you're stocking but the fact you mentioned small goods, means meat, refrigeration for storage and transport.
You're idea is a bit vague are you looking to wholesale or deliver?
to be honest you're probably best off looking to start a delivery logistics company. Buy a refrigerated truck and deliver stuff from A to B rather than trying to compete as a wholesaler at the same time.
HOWEVER, people only often see the front end of businesses.
If you really want to make money look at the waste side of things. If you have capacity to buy a refrigerated truck instead buy a garbage truck and start undercutting other operators hauling waste away to the tip.

Did I get robbed?
>>1511089
A lot of places run automated checks on every resume they get; you might want to see if there is any negative info in the databases they use.
Send in this form, and see what comes back:

How could I improve it myself?
Any suggestions?
>>1511131
-Work above education, mention your grades
-What are you applying for? This resume looks like a wide net resume.
-Resume says a lot about what you did, but not the effect it had, try things like "Saved company money% per year by..." or "Grew customer retention rate by this%"
-I know nothing about you, no hobbies section.
How do you keep yourself sane?
I have a desk with a window. At 11:15am every day the janitor of the building opposite opens and closes each window, one at a time, over 5 floors. It takes him about 20 minutes. I don't know why he does it but he does. I like to think his work is as boring as mine but at least he gets to walk around. I don't even have much work these days as the business is going down the shitter. My boss likes me though so I'll last until the ship collapses.
I work at night and have the whole building to myself, go out for a walk in the cold night air and take 1.5 hour lunch breaks is what I do to keep myself sane.

Audio books
They turn my dull nights into bearable fantasy lands.
Probably listened to 200+ plus books in the last 7 years
I don't even have a desk by the window, OP. That's a plus.
I need the money for my goals, so.. I just do the best I can. If I'm shit at this, what can I say of the rest of the things I do on my own? I can't listen to audiobooks or similar content because I have concentrate, I'm a programmer. I still listen to music, though. I'm slow as fuck at my job, which makes me wonder if I was cut out for this sometimes.
Lending Bitcoin on Polo
why is no one taking about lending BTC on polo seriously? 0.4% growth everyday. Thats around 1.5% every week.
I haven't heard anything bad about it.
The only way you can lose is if the exchange gets hacked. Its pretty good considering you wont have to do anything and get +60% ROI per year. What Am i missing?
If 40bitcoins guy lent his money on polo, he would have around $100 by the end of the day
NM i just found out.. hardly anyone wants to borrow BTC
fuck me
>>1511079
made a decimal typo.. forgot to add one zero. Screw lending, its shit yields. Better off just trading
I have disproven my own thread
I live in Plymouth, Massachusetts. It's about a 40 minute drive to Boston and the metropolitan part of the state. I'm 20 years old with a vocational degree in computer info systems with a Microsoft office specialist certificate.
Thing is, though, from what I've seen, none of that means shit unless I have an associates or bachelors in comp sci. I'm planning on going to college next year, since I have had to take a few years off for money problems. I got fired from my last job at Walmart for attendance, but there was an understandable(ish) reason to that.
What can I do to get some nice office job? Clerical work, data entry... Preferably some sort of IT apprenticeship.

Just a reminder fellow biz brothers, going bareback is planning for children.
I recently went through a pregnancy scare. Luckily for me it was a false positive. But this experience made me realize how having kids could potentially set you back years from achieving your dreams. I'm 25 years old and earn low 6 figures. When I thought I knocked up my girl I went into depression. My plans to triple my income felt shattered.
Biz, always wear rubber. Even if she says she's taking a form of birth control, always wear rubber.
I pull out wearing rubber now..
>>1510916
There's nothing better drilling down and dumping a hot one in the ol' lady. I'll take my chances.
Im 26 and if i can find a woman who is worth a fuck and will stick around and raise the kids w me i would pump out 13-17 kids. After they turn 5 im like GO CHILD LABOR FORCE!
I know this is /r9k/ tier material, but i cant even get a girl. (too lazy and uninterested)
Anywho, i hang around /biz/ for the mad gains. I dont think children will set you back anon. If you really love the girl and your kids, they will provide you with unending motivation to achieve your dreams.
random unwanted kids is not good though
I just got an apartment which had a "$1000 off the first month" promotion.
I signed the lease agreement + an addendum stating that I will receive $1000 off October's rent. It was countersigned by a representative of the company that owns the apartment complex. This was done on the National Apartment Association's e-signing site.
The company sent me an "urgent" email today stating that the $1000 off promotion doesn't actually apply to the apartment type I chose. The signed/countersigned lease agreement states that any changes to the contract have to be done in writing + they can kick me out after 30 days' notice.
Is there anything they can do here aside from kick me out after 30 days? That is an acceptable outcome as I can simply move into the building next door and still come out way ahead. If they refuse to credit me the $1000, it seems like it would be the easiest small claims case ever. My move in date is Friday, but I expect them to try to fuck with me if I don't sign another addendum which nullifies the $1000 off agreement.
>>1510910
here's my experience-
if they're going to go to court they're going to go whole-hog.
they're going to sue you for legal costs, for lost income, for damage to their name, for breaking shit you didn't break but they'll say you did anyways....
they'll sue you for everything they can think of and hope some of it sticks. And it probably will unless you have some deep pockets to hire lawyers and a lot of time to spend in court in another state.
that said, fuck them for trying to renegotiate a deal they offered in the first place. That's some shady shit and someone needs to drag them into court over it and if possible get a newspaper to write an article or two about their company. Because fuck that.
>>1510919
What could they sue me for, though? I am the victim in this scenario.
>they're going to sue you for legal costs, for lost income, for damage to their name, for breaking shit you didn't break but they'll say you did anyways....
I haven't caused them any undue lost income (they signed a contract promising a discount), I haven't publicly or privately disparaged them, etc.
As for breaking stuff, I can record video evidence of the apartment being in full functional order, all appliances, faucets, etc. working properly, and then me walking down to the leasing office and dropping off the keys.
Two of their employees made mistakes: the leasing agent promised something that wasn't supposed to exist and drafted paperwork to that effect + a different representative countersigned all the lease paperwork/addenda.
>>1511052
Well is it really worth suing? Your lawyer is going to make the bulk of the money here. I'd sue for principal but I'm thinking you'd only be awarded 1000-2000.
/biz/iness men, the time has come where I must make a choice: what to study in college, however I am conflicted from such a large variety of choices, all of which seem to intrigue me in one way or another. I do not want to make a decision which I will regret later on; the paradox of choice
I am reasonable grasp of mathematics. I find economics intresting. I find literature interesting. I find physics interesting. I have a talent for easily learning what is required for these subjects aswell as contextualising the practicality.
I am quite interested in conjoined degrees: Econ/Applied Mathematics: employment opportunities in risk analysis. Civil or software Engineering/general BCom : app development.
Computer science/software engineering/ finance: cyber security
I obviously cannot do all of these. very interested in advice from any people who are currently employed in these areas
Yes I have noticed there is a similar thread on financial degrees: I want to build useful skills which I can more easily monetise, not capable with business management.

I don't know how to proceed ;(
Time has come to ask the /biz/nessman for advice:
All I want is an interesting job in in finance with long-term maximization of income potential. However, I don’t know how realistic this is, given my current situation. Country is Germany.
After graduating high school, I spent 2 years in the military of which 9 months were compulsory at the time.
Then I went to one of Germany’s top target schools for IB & consulting but after four years I dropped out without a degree, because I failed some math classes. While there, I launched two startups which looked like they required heavy math but actually just needed good analytic capabilities (were good for CV but didn’t make any money). My grades were literally the worst due to not studying enough and heavy sleep disorder but I was still able to do two good internships at big banks. I also did a semester abroad in Asia where my grades were good.
After dropping out I transferred to a shit tier university that recognized at least some of my credit points because I didn’t want to start all over again. However, I now regret transferring credits since my Bachelor GPA will only be 2.4 in the German system which is close to the average student (probably 2.8-3.0 in US system).
I also come from a relatively poor family but my dad makes just enough money so that I don’t get any government assistance or need-based scholarships. However, I invested the money I saved from the military (€8k) first in precious metals & stocks and later in successive waves of cryptocurrencies (LTC, DOGE, MAID, ETH, XMR). So while I have around €30k in student debt I also have €166k is liquid assets. I likely can’t repeat this performance, but the money gives me some freedom to operate for the first time in my life.
Most of the people from my old university have already finished their Master’s degree (some at Harvard, MIT, many Mannheim) and are in Ph.D. programs or work at Tier 1 IBs and consultancies and I feel very inferior and envy them since most of them are younger than me and I at 28 will not even complete a shitty Bachelor’s degree till next year.
So what should I do now?
1. Start working in finance? (Likely will not be a good position/institution due to shit degree, career potential might also be limited.)
2. Do Master’s degree? (Probably not get into a great program. Many German universities mainly select by bachelor grade. GMAT is almost worthless here. I might prepare long to get a high GMAT score and go study abroad, but this will probably be expensive. I know I can't get in any of the insane tier programs listed above, I just would want in a good solid program to be on the radar)
3. ???
4. Settle for mediocracy?
You should probably use a different pic next time. When I saw the frog I assumed whatever you had to say wasn't important or serious, and I'm sure most people that can help you will think the same.
Is maths even fucking needed in commerce? Complex maths that is.
