On September 29th 1929, the S&P 500 was at its record high 31.86 and didn't reach that same point again for 25 years.

Buy and hold doesn't mean you don't buy once. You would be making periodic contributions to your position further averaging it down. Your returns from positions from the 30s onward would far outweigh any positions you bought in those few years prior. Get some common sense Calvin.
>>
index funds aren't a way to get rich. they are just a safe place to store your money and get a little back

if the equivalent happened today the S&P 500 would be the same value as it was in 1991

He was that ADHD white kid that tried to make everybody laugh but didn't know people were laughing at him and not with him as a kid. He had a whole bad boy act to fit in with the niggers. He actually went to good schools and the whole my parents were poor janitors meme is bullshit because janitors in NYC make good money. He's a class act douche bag with a /b/ sense of humor. How he got his wealth was nothing legal and it's catching up to him.

I don't need to be rich to be happy.

25 years old.
Monthly NET Income = $2,800-$3,500
Monthly Expenses = $2,210-$2,335

I own a house and the mortgage payments are cheap. It only cost me $134K. It's a fixer upper, but I've been working on it. My expenses including putting away $50 a week for retirement. I put it in a Vanguard mutual fund and should have around $500K when I retire. Which will be plenty. My house will be paid off way before then, and I have no retirement goals. Maybe a new boat. I love to fish. That and fixing up my house is pretty much where the rest of my money is going right now. Once I have my house looking pretty, I will begin making extra principle payments.

I'm thinking of adopting a dog.

Depends if you want data and text messaging or not. There are prepaid $3 monthly plans with t-mobile 30 mins talk time/10c every minute after that.

Most prepaid plans with data and unlimited talk/text usually start at $40 monthly

For the actual phone, spend like $100-$200 and get an unlocked BLU or Huawei

Alright /biz/, how much physical cash do you have accessible to you right now?

I currently have $0 in cash, all of my money is in the bank. Should I be hoarding cash in case of a Greece-type scenario where withdrawals are limited and it's not guaranteed that you will ever see your money ever again?

I'm using an iPad Pro 9.7

Apps:

> Good Notes

I spent about $20 on all of this.

Depends.
West Coast USA is full of liberals who are vegan and shit and you can imitate any food with soy.
East Coast / Midwest where everybody likes their testosterone untampered with, corn is the way to go.

And competition shifts constantly during harvests
>>
>>1508560
What does testosterone have to do with corn or soy?
You're just a brainwashed cuck, even though you're onto something interesting.
Soy will always be a viable commodity.

I'm looking for someone who has around the same knowledge as myself (I think someone with less knowledge or much more would create an unequal relationship which could be problematic, but this isn't a hard rule).

This is my skillset and I'm looking for something vaguely similar in another person:

>PHP, MYSQL, Python ,Linux administration, bash, Javascript, NodeJS, MVC stuff

>webscraping / web automation (both with headless browsers and HTTP libraries)

>ideally NEET /shut-in/ hikkimori who uses IRC regularly

The main reason I'm doing this is because I'm somewhat disorganized and I find that working with another person forces me to step up my game and just the act of coordinating with another person helps create some kind of structure to projects.

In return I'm willing to give the person I work with:

>100% of the proceeds from the first three projects to see how we work together then 50/50 split

>sole control of the freelance website account for this period so you don't have to take my word for it

At any time you can just walk out if you decide it's not for you.

I'm not looking for some super serious arrangement, but you have to have 3-4 hours of free time per day to work on stuff with me.

We'd basically be equals collaborating, putting in similar amounts of work. I don't want some kind of employer - employee relationship or anything like that.

I'm willing to give up money on the first three projects because I want someone I can trust, have a good rapport with and can work with long term.

And we'd use a private IRC channel.

Post ITT if interested . Using a tripcode to identify myself across posts.
