If you are 35 or younger, do you believe that you will be entitled to a pension when you are in your 70's?
My view is that successive governments will pick away at this to fund their current projects.
If you agree or have a similar point of view, what is your plan instead?
>>1512910
>do you believe that you will be entitled to a pension
sure, but by the time i get to that age it wont exist anyone. the austerity meme is starting to kick in, they've started cutting pensions in australia, along with family bonuses ect. the chickens have come home to roost. this was inevitable, especially in countries like the US where mandatory spending would surpass government revenue by 2050. i could spam the le baby boomers meme like everyone else or take responsibility for my own actions given that these benefits wont exist in the future
what am i going to do? sort my shit out, or drop dead. ive got 5k in my bank account at the age of 25 so im pretty well screwed for now
>>1512910
Entitled isn't the right word.
If you pay taxes the government should be giving you a pension once you're past your used by date.
You mean should I expect to get back money taken from me by force? Money which is promised to be kept for a later date to help assist me to live with dignity after contributing as a wage slave my whole life?
Well, yeah, that is a reasonable expectation, anyone non-retarded can see that
It's not gonna happen though
>actually believing government will be there for you
Well cucked
Hi, i'm a young, dumb pleb who's a little late to this bitcoin thing. Please explain to me like you would a child how relevant/profitable bitcoin mining is in present day and how to into it. Please be merciful
>>1512864
pic not related obv
>>1512864
It isn't at all relevant or profitable these days. Unless you own a huge server farm with massive computing power, mining will cost you more than it will earn you (by a lot).
>>1512875
Word, and what are all these crytocoin threads about then? Are anons making money off of this stuff? Again, I'm a super noob. Any recommended explanatory articles or videos would be appreciated as well.
Welp looks like I actually lost at memecoin trading.
I made 1.5 bitcoins, but now I'm back at 0.03 bitcoins. Really shit. The <100satoshi coins fucked me up real good.
This isn't working out. Should I try to train harder or try something else like paid publicity, ad sense and gofundme ?
>>1512843
What risk:reward ratio where you using while trading?
>>1512846
How to calculate, senpai?
Why dont you just buy ethereum
Guys, what is going on ?

>>1512807
Spanish bank wants to use eth for transactions
Can someone please explain... Why TPG:ASX DROPPED 20 percent today just after they released their financial report with great positive results... I can't find any news or figure out how it has some how lost 20 percent after this good news and what the fuck are the point of announcements when you don't get a chance to buy or sell shares before the market opens to take advantage of the knowledge/research... Anyway I'm just very curious as to why I've lost 1000 today and if there is worse to come and the reason behind it falling this amount .... FML
>>1512784
The market is rigged.
That sucks, man.
TPG is a great ISP.
Telstra also went down so maybe it's related.
Also I'm not angry I just very confused all I can ever find is good news on the company and never any bad information or news or any reason as to why they fell 20 percent today after releasing their good financial report I thought it would have went up in price if anything... And the only news I can find is through Google finance and it's all positive. I just want a reason as to why this has happened so I can learn from it in the future when I go to invest again.
Thanks my friends :)
Has anyone here actually mastered any scalping techniques on futures contracts? I have just discovered a broker that allows you to trade the e-mini with $500 deposit
Also general futures thread, have you had experience? Or heard they were a bad idea? enlighten me!
Futures are pretty based because they're open like twice as long as the stock market, they're exchange-traded (there's a true price, unlike forex), there's no "pattern day trader" rule in the US, there's clearing houses on both sides of the transaction to mitigate counterparty risk... pretty baller shit desu senpai
>>1512732
Traded them for about a year now.
Equities are like walking, whereas futures are like taking the train.
In other words, you can win or lose very quickly.
I'm paper trading some options on futures.
I'm still mastering options and slowly learning futures. They quite a bit bigger and have more intricacies than options. Slowly getting there though.
Hey I'm a student in junior college and think that majoring I'm econ/getting an intership at a stock broking company would be a good idea to make good money. I'm young and dumb and only one thing on my side:time. What's my best path. I just want to live a quiet rich life. I'm only planning on living with myself to support. I've spent so long trying to figure out how to get a good life going (where to live/profession/who I should associate with) and I've thought myself into a corner please help.
>>1512708
Someone please help this poor fool.
>>1512708
>a stock broking company
Well, the first thing you need is a time machine.
But after that it's all downhill sailing.
>>1512708
>intership at a stock broking company
I get the impression that would be a sales job. Do you love sales and are you good at it?

What exactly is happening in november regarding the task force? how will this affect marijuana stocks?
I know that the legality will make the prices skyrocket but what's happening in november??
Currently long on APH
I have been banging my head all morning...
Got out of THC 2 days ago when it was at .40, its currently at .58.
>>1513720
I got out at 40, and got back in at 48. Still good gains today though.
>>1512673
In November the deadline for the task force will be met. They will have decided what the regulatory framework and environment would look like based on their current studies. This can affect the stocks, but it will give us a far better idea how things will look in the next few years.

Gas being out is different from oil being out. Their pipeline probably broke or the company that manages the delivery trucks messed something up and didn't get them a refill when they needed it.
As awesome as it would be to see the world fall apart, it aint gonna happen.
>>1512656
Um yeah. Don't you read the news. Large pipeline that carries gas too east coast busted. Gas prices could be $4 next week
short renewables, long on oil!
We making moolah on the Weedman boys?
No salty Americans allowed in the thread.
>>1512651
I'm happy enough for now, and should be making coin for months to come. Messed around last year, but really been in this for a couple months now. Clearly accumulation is forming a nice base on these companies now, so I might add a few more grand.
Every day is decently green and the largest red day I went down about 3% in one stock lol.
I laugh at all the misconceptions surrounding these stocks, risk/reward is solid here.
I bought about 1350 shares of APH at 2.97, been going up ever since.
I don't get why more Americans buy shares with their strong dollar instead of risky meme stocks, underaged morons toyling away with their RH accounts.
>>1512712
I wouldn't doubt there is some decent american money coming in. Then again, some people make it seem like they are submitting to Justing Trudeau's phallus by even acknowledging that recreational marijuana will probably be legalized soon. Don't get me wrong, I do not like a lot of this liberal bullshit, but this is for sure a situation that can be exploited by almost anybody with a bank account. It's not a political statement.
Any of you ladies in Australia ready for affordable housing coming?
5 more weeks
>>1512631
Won't stand-alone dwellings hike in price now as investors look to put their dollars safe assets?
>>1512645
apartments are only owned by chinks and boomers' self-managed retirement funds
nothing of value will be lost
and it won't affect standalone houses as there's more demand for 3+ bedroom homes - very few apartments here have more than two bedrooms as they're built to be "investments" whored out for rent, rather than somewhere one might raise a family
>>1512645
Probably. At the very least they'll stay steady.
People assume that Australian housing is in a bubble because decently situated stand-alone dwellings are out of range of most individuals entering the market, but really, stand-alone house prices have been rising at an average of just over 10% for at least the last 150 years; as far back as reliable records go, which is pretty similar to the UK housing price growth over the last 900 years of reliable records.
Whenever "house-prices" crash or boom in certain areas it's usually units, apartments and small blocks/subdivisions with 3+ bedroom houses on quarter acre blocks in good areas continuing to rise steadily.
semi-NEET here who has saved $3k doing odd jobs. How do I invest it?
Community college, learn a trade.
That will net you your biggest return on investment
>>1512614
Find an app company and pay them to make your million dollar idea app.
This is a bi-annual reminder that if you don't have enough cash saved up to where you can meet all your living expenses without any income for at least one year, then you have no business whatsoever "investing". Please reassess your priorities if this describes you.

Go fuck yourself

>all /biz/anons will see a 600% increase in their portfolio's value, there is no risk or luck involved
>>1512591
The rule is three months. If you lose your job and can't find a new one in three months, you're retarded and should never be investing anyway.
Been working two jobs for 5 years now, night clerk at a Holiday Inn, and a dishwasher at an Olive garden. I have managed to save $15,000 US.
What would you do with $15,000 if you were just starting out again?
>>1512537
Truck Driver License
>>1512542
What would you do with the fifteen grand?
>>1512537
I'd stop working so much, minimize my expenses to make sure I don't go into debt and I'd take time to try stuff to learn something new maybe study something to get a better job to ultimately make sure to work less to get more in the future.
Life isn't meant to be slaved away. Just find something you love and keep doing it until you're good enough that people will want to hire you instead of the next guy.
