Due to shit going on in my family home, I'll probably be thrown out on the street pretty soon. Won't happen before Monday, so I have a bit to prepare.
I'm here to ask about what anyone who was homeless himself might have to offer me in terms of advice on how to survive being homeless, in general, but especially in the winter season. It's winter here in the Balkans, and winters here can get pretty rough and it's only just starting. The average outside temperature is -5 degrees, Celsius, and a few above 0 when it's warmer during the day.
For those who want to ask about why I'm going to become homeless, it's because I had a pretty rough fight with my older sister where she attacked me pretty severely: grabbed me by the hair, tried to kick me in the balls, clawed at my arm with her fingernails so I had to clean that out with alcohol. She was needling me all day long and then started taunted me and when I responded back she spat on me. More stuff happened, but that doesn't matter.
No, my parents won't look kindly on this because my sister has their only grandchild to bargain with so I'm pretty much out by default simply because of this. No, I'm not a complete NEET laying about the house, doing nothing, I have a job, but I don't think that will last for much longer when I can no longer shower or wash my hair or lack clothes that don't smell.
And no, I have no family that will take me in. What few friends I have moved cities away, some even to foreign countries, and the only way we keep in touch is by online communication and the odd phone call here and there. So I'm on my own for this.

Side note avoid pissing off gypsies. One or two kids might not seem like an issue but they tend to zerg rush you really fast. Hide all valuables asap. Begging is an organized crime. Having said that the police wont bother you but somebody will kick your shit in. Trash cans are a decent place to get food, some restaurants and bakeries give discounts or free food after they close for the night, it might be hard snooping them out at first. Carry blankets, two or three if possible. Building staircases are your friend but try not to stick to one place for too long, and avoid being see as tenants might call the cops on you.
Hygiene is going to take a hit so try to get a place where you can clean up, say a rented hostel room. Buying a car would be my first choice if possible. It gives you a place to stay, and if you're skilled enough you could use it as a source of income. And buying a beater for 400ish euros could save your life in the bitter cold.

Get a gym membership fast(shower/bathroom), vandwell(live in car) for a bit till you can get a permaresident/rent from craigslist/etc.
Look at local public shower resources (maybe parks).

It would feel like a waste to just tell her "Alright, I don't want to have anything to do with you if you're going to be like this" so for now I'm just telling her "Go ahead, fuck other people if you want to, but know that if you do you can't come back to me, and unless you want to stick with me, I'll keep my eyes open and possibly dump you for someone else".

Did your degree have a focus? Did you do a capstone? Also, are you any good at programming?
Without knowing anything else:
- insurance actuary.
- Potentially risk or process analyst if you have any private sector experience in any field other than your degree.
- If you're good at programming, and studied statistics in depth esp. path integrals, finance-related positions especially pertaining to High Frequency Trading.

To get a job in those popular applied math topics actually require taking some courses in statistics, stochastic and financial mathematics, and since we are talking about a guy get paid to do math they usually hire an expert with at least a MSc. I think with a BSc OP's best bet is to learn programming, he should already know some. Depends on how "less specialized" he is in comparison to others.

Ive been in a relationship with my gf for 5 years now. After years has passed we have been slowly drifting away from each other. We live together under a same roof and our lifes seems to be a burden to each other. We cant speak to each other anymore.

So I got a call Thursday morning for an interview on a job offer I really want. They scheduled me for 11am on Monday, but didn't give me the location. I was told they would call back and give me the address.
It's now Saturday morning with no call back.
What is the ideal time to call back and find out where it is? Now, tomorrow, or early Monday?
I know this question might seem ridiculous, but this is a dream job position and I really want to do everything as perfect as possible.

Why don't women ever text first? I have dated a few women over the last couple months. None of them would initiate contact first like "hey what are you up to?" I would have to text them first to set plans and shit.
It really makes me feel like they do not like me. Women do shit to avoid hurting feelings too. Like going out with you even though they don't want too.
What gives? Can any women here elaborate on why women don't text first very often?

This is going to be a long story
So my whole life has been shit full of fucked up problems caused by my dad
i was born in france , i grew up with an abusive alchoholic, paranoid father , my mother commited suicide when i was 5 years old so looking back at it , i don't really care as i didnt knew her that much
When i was 6 my father met this woman online who was from the u.s.a
A couple months later my dad sold all his belongings and we ended up moving there for a better new life
The first 2 years were the happiest years of my life , i had learned to speak english , my step-mom was amazing and i made alot of friends overall life was just good .
ffw a year later my paranoid dad would beat me for hours over the stupidest shit and would threatened to kill my step-mom
My step-mom issued a restraining order against my dad and i was in my step-mom's custody
3 months later My dad got supervised visitation, until Christmas when the Judge made an awful mistake and allowed him to have me for the holiday.
And this is where it all went downhill , my dad bought plane tickets and abducted me to a 3rd world country to live with my family members ( i could've refused to go with him but i was only 9 and scared he'd beat me if i told my mom )
So I'll be 18 in a month and i've been dealing with depression ever since i came here , i just hate myself for not telling my step-mom what my dad was planning to do.
This muslim country is full of close minded retards , basically no future and i've decided that suicide might probably be the best way out .
A couple days ago after doing some research i've found my step-mom's fb and after 7 years she still posts about me which made me cry
Now guys i want to contact my step-mom and gtfo of this place but at the same time i feel really bad for leaving my family behind .
What should i do ?
