I also enjoy using 3d drafting/modeling programs. They also are skills that have practical use in day to day life.

My fiancé and I used to text too much when we were first dating. We couldn't bear to be apart. He used to get in trouble at work a lot so we knew it was a problem. Now we try to practice restraint.

You sorta become aware that it's a mechanism for you to work your ass off, well for me at least.

I went through a similar process few years back. Instead of relying on fear, I tried to view it as a challenge and as something I actually wanted to have. Having proper motivations is much healthier than to be driven by fear in order to succeed.

I know it's something you can't seem to control but try to approach your obstacles with a different approach.

Do you have anything that makes you giddily happy? Could be alcohol, could be a person, fuck man it could even be memes. Whatever the thing is, have it with you while you're doing the thing. Giddiness is a curious feeling, because it kinda doesn't leave room for nervousness or fear. If you're one, you can't be the other.
So yeah, say you're trying to speak publicly or make a piece of art or something, just try to have that thing that makes you silly with you. If you can't for whatever reason, at least try to think about it.

Don't have clutter around. Have a place for everything and put everything back to their place when you're done with it. Clean at least once a week.

I believe that the space you live in should be the expression of who you are. So if you want to add some details that show what you're interested in, just make them look more adult. Huge fan of some movie? Look for a minimal movie poster of them, print them and have them framed. Add some screen caps of the scenes. Love travelling? Have a gallery wall with pics of your holidays. Huge music fan? Use album art to decorate your room, show your collection.

Yeah you're good, sex isn't a big deal but it can still be hard to come by sometimes. You'll get some in college if you aren't already there. Just keep being social. Get a solid core group of friends you can always rely on and then have a bunch of random people you sometimes talk to. Don't try to fuck anyone in your core group of friends but you will find a girl through your random encounters

Join a club, take a class, go to a museum or concert, hang out at the comic book store, do volunteer work. You'll be among others doing the same thing, so chatting will be natural. That's how friends are made.
