How about not using a faggot emulator? Try Mednafen in Retroarch.
>>
>>4149590
or you stop playing with your boipucci in private and skip retroarch and just go with mednafen
>>
>>4149594

Standalone emulators are a thing of the past. Retroarch is the future.

So they say that Crash is like Dark Souls... Then again, Rayman could kick your ass... Even for educational purposes.

Does anyone remember this game (also known as Rayman Junior)? I'm a grown-ass man, and an educational Rayman game is kicking my ass until the brink of dawn. The edutainment part is easy, but platforming on mostly narrow spots with few checkpoints isn't. If you want an even tougher challenge, play the game in mute.

>INB4 those "git gud' replies start rolling in, I've actually beaten some hard games like Blood (a tough sonovabitch FPS), Crash's unholy trinity of it's hardest levels (High Road, Slippery Climb, and Stormy Ascent), and the OG Rayman to name a few.

>I also bet you haven't played this until now, yes? No walkthroughs? I doubt that.

Getting the gem for Sunset Villa is the hardest challenge in Crash
>>

I grew up with this game as a kid and I loved it. It's a shame something like this will never be made again.
>>
>>4149529
Hardest for me was Fumbling in the Dark. Shit, I had a harder time with Cortex Power than with Sunset Vista.

Hi /vr/
Im playing duck hunt (mode A) on real hardware. Never had the zapper and im loving it. The problem is that I think there's something wrong because i just got past stage 40 and lost on 42. Is this game easy as this? The score table didnt even have enough space for the million number. Also, beat my score thread.

You've only JUST NOW gotten around to playing duck hunt?
>>

Not exactly. I give a certain distance away from tv. Like the distance people play the wii

What are some fun retro puzzle games?

Kwirk is really fun... and difficult! Those last stages really got the old gray matter working, but I beat it.

What are some others? There are a lot of shitty puzzle games... what are the good ones, bros?

Just played Vandal Hearts for the first time. I'm pretty blown away. Getting a distinct Shining Force vibe. Old school SRPG/TRPG goodness. Kill animation blood is about to send my sides into orbit.

Any anons have warm feelings or Vandal Hearts stories?

I prefer VH to Shining Force and VH2. I discovered this game in 2010 and still holds up pretty well.
Egaging combat and fun animations.

The computer cheats.

That's mission 2-1 of the first game. It's really not that hard if you don't care about killing the townsfolk. Of course, that takes all the strategy out of the mission.

Alright which one of you fucking faggots was the one that told me "every version of Windows 7 has xp mode" that's a fucking lie reeeeeeeeeeeeee.

Guys how can I plat my pc games from the late 90s on my current pc?

Windows XP Mode was just Windows XP running inside of a Windows Virtual PC VM. It's not good for games because it does not support hardware acceleration.
>>
>>4148874
so if I install a windows 98 VM can I play tanktics?

What's it like playing dreamcast/psx games with a mouse? I've been thinking about sitting my crt on a 90s desk on a pc kinda set up. I've been a pc gamer for most of my life so playing games at a desk feels more natural

The N64 Castlevanias aren't as bad as people claim.

IGA has never produced a good Castlevania game.
