So with this whole Fitzgerald incident happening, can we agree this is the end of the line for AN/SPY-1 and most of the current Burke systems?
It showed clear as day that the purportedly most advanced destroyer in service didn't detect a massive container ship until it was literally within ramming distance. It's a major boost for EWC manufacturers and demonstrates that even the world's most powerful navy needs an upgrade.
And there's China, who's seen blood in the water with how vulnerable USN ships are demonstrated to be. They've been running AESA systems for years and probably can't imagine how this would happen to them.
End result: Expect a massive USN effort to speed up SPY-3 and AMDR system installation on current surface combatants. It'll cost a pretty penny but will ensure the USNs competitive edge against China.

Can anyone tell my why I keep getting this rash on my leg? I work a construction job and my vans werent cutting it so I pulled out some old combat boots I had that id never worn much. Its on the inside of both of my legs where the zipper for the boot is. I wear long socks too and those helped but it still happens.

Any gunsmiths online? My AK-74 jams about every 15 rounds or so. Even with really nice Bakelite mags it still jams.
Got a few few stove pipes, casings getting jammed up behind the trunion...
I noticed some weak ejections ~50% of the time, where it only throws the brass about 1-4 feet away from the rifle. Otherwise it flings the brass out maybe 8-10 feet.
I'm thinking of hiring a gunsmith to look at it and fix it but one guy quoted me at $50 an hour + 20$ "range time" to diagnose the issue. The rifle only cost $550 so I might as well sell it I guess? Thoughts?
