Would The AN-94 Or AK-12 Be A Better Replacement For The AK-74 Rifles Currently In Service The Russian Military? Debate.
Not worth the cost.
>>34325348
This and AN 94 is to complicated mechanically.
>>34325281
AN would be a bitch to maintain in the field and too costly. Replacing all the 74's with AK-12 would be too costly considering how few improvements it actually brings.
If the United States were to launch an all-out strike on North Korea, including land based, B-52 launched and submarine-launched ICBMs, and followed it up with massive carpet bombing after the first strike, how fast would it take to turn NK into a parking lot? If the first strike was massive enough, would NK have any hope of retaliation or otherwise defending itself?
>>34325275
>how fast
Hours
>retaliation?
Begging for mercy
>>34325275
They could retaliate by leveling Seoul, unless you'd take out all of their artillery pieces simultaneously.
>>34325275
About 3 days and 50 minutes.
explain to me why this is not the best 7.62mm rifle there is
Because it looks like shit compared to this.
>>34325011
i can hand it to you that i am a sucker for wooden funitiure AR platform guns but otherwise the CM-901 Is better
>>34324957
>>34325011
because the AR design is inherently flawed

How does /k/ feel about Tae Kwon Do?
Is it a meme?
Good exercise and discipline?
Right now I'm not interested in being tacticool and learning Krav Maga because the likelihood of fighting anyone other than a drunk normie is pretty low. Maybe later
>>34324865
I did it when I was younger for about five years, and honestly, there are probably better martial arts out there. It's pretty sanitary. Tae kwon do is the best martial art if you want to know how to fight people who know tae kwon do.
I'm not saying it's worthless, because knowing something about fighting is better than knowing nothing, and it will get your body moving, and stretching, which is a good thing, and is at least a good starting point for learning to fight unarmed.
>>34324865
Kukkwon style is fucking garbage
"traditional" style is pretty decent if you also study some grappling since TKD only has minimal grappling.
>>34324865
It's shit. Pick a different martial art
>Good exercise?
It's decent
I don't give a fuck what anybody says
Sherman a cute
>>34324690
true
>>34324690
I'd fuck a Sherman Tankgirl
>>34324690
i'd fuck that tank
Are you a 500 guy or an 870 guy?
Also, why so few shotgun threads on /k/?
>>34324630
>Are you a 500 guy or an 870 guy?
Both. Both types have features that I like.
>why so few shotguns threads
Because they're not as sexy as rifles.
>>34324649
> because they're not as sexy as rifles
Yeah but you can actually hit stuff with a shotgun
>>34324630
I own an 870 but I'm issued the 500. I prefer the 870s action release location but prefer the 500s safety. Both are perfectly fine and very modular.
Honest question: Would you ever actually fall for a honeypot? If a random decent-to-hot chick started asking questions about your firearms, asked you to join a firearms-related group or mentioned you buy/selling firearms in shady situations would you actually go along with it?
>>34324567
I texted a DEA honeypot once
pretty sure I shouldnt have
>>34324567
I would question it, cause the only people who know I conceal carry, is my friend of 25 yrs, also my wife. I only go shooting deep into the woods. So I'd believe that she is stalking me.
Always hide your power level.
>woman asking about your firearms
Channel your inner Elliot Roger and murder that slag.
Women's sole talent is their ability to gab on about things they shouldn't. A slag asking about your guns is only doing it to tell the next group of people she encounters.
Is the Legion worth the money?
It is if you plan on getting a P229 that is upgraded. Judging from your pic, you probably watched LG's video on it so you know the answer already.
>>34324514
the arex beat it, so no
>>34324534
>the arex beat it, so no
>manual safety
>unproven, unlike the Sig P226/P229 which is issued to a multitude of LE agencies, military units worldwide and the 226 passed SOCOM's handgun test
Sigs have been used and proven for decades. The Arex isn't shit compared to it and just because it passed a stupid mud test, doesn't mean it's better. Go away nerd.
How hot is the bolt from this thing?
Would it melt my eyeballs if it hit me in the bridge of my nose?
It's a fucking laser gun with recoil man, I don't think they went for the realistic approach to this.
Bethesda cancer, please go

technically, the light could be of a high enough frequency and amplitude that it *could* be theoretically possible... solar sails, for example, work by the light of the sun imparting kinetic energy on the sail by way of reflection of said photons...
If you could only own one small caliber firearm and had to chose between .22LR and .22MAG which one would you chose?
I am split between semi automatic Ruger 10/22 LR and bolt action CZ 455 which comes in .22mag caliber. One has a higher rate of fire and much cheaper ammunition(though .22 mag is not that expensive either). The other is more powerful and accurate.
>>34324338
I got the cz 455 in 22lr.
will probably get some semi auto 22 eventually.
>>34324965
The only reason why i am considering CZ-455 is the more powerful round.
If i am getting a .22lr Ruger is a better choice
>>34325058
Get a stainless / synthetic 10/22, don't fuck around with it. All that should be done is the sights and bolt buffer, and a suppressor if you want one.
The cz is nice and all, but if can only have one .22 it should be a 10/22. It's boring, but you won't regret it.
Does anybody have these PDF's in a dropbox or something so I don't have to give shekels?

Bore axis makes zero difference in operator performance.
>>34324028
One meeds to be higher because their needs to be space for the arc of the hammer.
The other one has no hammer.
>>34324028
bore axis makes no difference due to the should-be-obvious fact that the same amount of energy placed anywhere on a lever requires the same amount of energy to counteract anywhere along the lever.
Cloud seeding is one way we have to manipulate the weather, in a very literal sense.
This is how it works:
>Clouds are formed when water vapor nucleates on a small particle, which creates an airborne water droplet.
>Usually these particles come from solar wind interacting with the upper atmosphere, or other as-yet-unknown sources
>By providing nucleation particles (silver iodide), we can effectively create clouds
>When clouds nucleate, they release heat. This can cause updrafts, air currents
https://cen.acs.org/articles/94/i22/Does-cloud-seeding-really-work.html
This technology has been used before to create rainfall, or dampen the effect of damaging storms. But how else can we use it? Here are some ideas:
>Deprive a region of rainfall, condemn them to starvation
>Create severe thunderstorms, potentially damaging enemy combat effectiveness at crucial times in the war
>Create tornadoes, even hurricanes. Potentially severely impacting an enemy city, or even the entire country
This has been done before on a small scale, but never has it been done on an industrial scale. We don't yet know how far we can push this technology. Will we see weather wars in the future?
>>34323885
Something something too scary something something real supervillain something something "world domination is illegal!!!!!!11". Also no fun allowed.
Bump for interest, though.
>>34323885
If it were to be done, it would have to be done in secret. Once the world finds out you're starving a nation, or flooding it, no one's going to be happy about that. I do think that if you could manipulate the weather to create a storm to create concealment for a stealth/recon operation, that would be cool
>>34323926
I mean a hurricane is more powerful than a nuclear bomb. It could be a very devastating weapon to have in your arsenal.
And you don't have radiation, so it's more environmentally friendly
What's the most improvised/ghetto rigged weapon you have ever made, and what did you use to make it?
Pic related is mine, used:
>20 year old wood post
>part of a basketball goal
>part of a lawn mower handle
>more tape than I should have
I have no idea what it would be good for except penetrating thick glass, it's heavier than it looks and doesn't have much surface area on the whacking end
>>34323816
>a fucking soccer goal anchor
>with duck tape for a grip
I'm making a copy of a clinch pick out of a putty knife. No pic yet.
