The WORST fucking trigger I've ever squeezed in my entire life. Like, I've felt Hi-Points that were better, and no I'm not kidding.

But $199? Why the fuck not?
>>
>>34316361
This isn't even bait, I was considering getting a Shield b/c they are dirt cheap.

But holy shit that is the worst trigger imaginable, worse than my 14 lb revolver in DA
>>
>>34316361
yeah if you're going to buy one you should just factor in the cost of a trigger kit.

it's that bad.
>>
>>34316361
Get an apex and stfu, poorfag.

You might as well add $160 ($77 if you don't care about grit/weight) to the price tag if you hate the trigger as much as I did.
It was damn worth it, though.

Seriously? I've shot a rental shield at my local range and the trigger felt fine to me.
>>
>>34316361

This dude is not even lying. Worthless trigger.
I sold mine 30 days after i purchased it. It wasnt even worth dropping in a new trigger. Total junk.
>>
>>34316361
Sage the Bait. All poly handguns have shit triggers, this isn't exceptionally worse.
>>
>>34316440
That's because it's a heavily used whore that's been well broken in. New ones that haven't had thousands of rounds shot through have pretty grindy triggers.
>>
>>34316474
My P99 is perfect, try again.
>>
>>34316438
>Not just getting a glock at that point
>>
>>34316480
And it's mostly because of the unpolished striker block. You can either try polishing it yourself or get an Apex one.
>>
>>34316361
You've clearly never handled the SD9VE. It's pretty bad, shame too, otherwise it's a solid gun for the price.

i don't really like the trigger on glocks desu
>>
>>34316536
They aren't good, but if you want a slim profile carry gun that is super reliable glocks are good option.
>>
>>34316495
So I can add that same price increase to get the mag capacity the same as a stock Shield's and a metal trigger?
>>
>>34316474
>All poly handguns have shit triggers
no
its a fact s&w triggers on polymer guns are exceptionally bad. you cant claim smith has a good trigger when get an apex trigger is the default.
>>
>>34316480

Sounds like a perfect excuse to sit in front of the tv and dry fire for hours.
>>
You haven't been around very long if you think a Shield has the worst trigger on anything.

Where? Because I'll buy another Shield right now at that price

Who's "they"? The salesman behind the counter at the local gun shop? Their job is to upsell you on the most expensive model, and as someone who has worked in retail, I would've loved having a sucker like you as a customer. Commission on big ticket items was where it's at.
I bet the trigger isn't even better than a non-PC, so have fun getting blasted in the face with carbon gasses and unburnt powder more than you normally would.
>>
>>34316474
Iunno my P07's trigger feels fucking great.
>>
>>34316361
They're concealed carry pistols. Of course they're not going to be Cadillac's. I'd love to see your face when your Kimber is confiscated for the evidence lock up though. Good thing the great trigger and tricked out sites allowed you to snipe a terrorist with an ak at 50yards. You'll probably get it back after they throw you a parade!
>>
It's not even that bad I don't get the sperging. It's fine.

If you're picky about triggers on a CCW the Walther PPS M1 and M2 have better ones and also have active rebates.
>>
>>34317215
Better is relative to other pocket/sub-compact pistols though. I'm still dry-firing the shit out of my PPS to try and clean that creepy trigger on mine. It makes me wonder if maybe the Kahr PM9 or some other ~3" barrel gun has a decent trigger.
>>
>>34317344
If you hate even the PPS you are probably hopeless that apparently has one of the best triggers on a subcompact single stack.

No regrets.
the M&P's didn't fit my hands right anyway, even though I love the way the M&P 9c looked.
>>
>>34317468
I'd be more inclined to buy a Ruger semi-auto if I could operate the slide release without a hammer.
>>
>>34317494
Mine runs fine my dude.
Intended thumb pressure is enough for me
>>
>>34317457
I like being able to put 5 shots in 4" at 10 yards. Just can't do it with the heavy trigger and short sight radius yet.

Also, the random creep introduced by the bunching striker spring catching in the striker channel means staging is a bitch under a timer. Maybe that will go away with use, but I'm not holding my breath.
>>
>>34316416
Same. I really wanted to buy a shield because it felt so good in my hand but I dry fired one in the store and put it down and walked away. I'm not buying a gun I need to do a fucking trigger job on right out of the box. I give those retards who swap out triggers on carry guns with really decent triggers a lot of shit, but this one really does need it desperately.
>>
>>34316361
I feel like if you're buying a handgun that $199.00 you're going to have to make a compromise somewhere.
>>
My problem with trigger jobs is: now how do you know for sure your gun is safe?

I recall at least one of /tg/'s recent ND's was related to a faulty trigger install on a Glock.
>>
>>34317494
It's a slide lock not a slide release.

>>34317581

Jesus fucking christ. M&P triggers are dogshit but you can still shoot them. I wish I could curbstomp every one of you trigger snobs with my fucking red wings so you could stop whining about shit.

Cue in the retards that throw $160 at the apex kit and then whine about no monies for aftermarket sights because shooting isn't something you actually do.

>>
>>34317606
>Practice has nothing to do with my gun going off after I rack the slide.

How many range trips do you think it takes before you'd notice that would happen, especially doing malfunction drills?
>>
>>34317639
>It's okay b/c you might catch it at the range

Do you shoot 4000 rounds out of a gun before it enters your carry rotation?
>>
>>34317595
The M&P 2.0 is out already. Perhaps a Shield 2.0?
>>
>>34317623
Filename, nigerian
>>34317656
That's what I meant, really. a better implementation of what the shield is, yeah.
>>
>>34317654
Fuck no, 5 boxes of 50 or so for a new gun or a new optic/trigger.

By that rationale, you also don't know if your stock gun or your carry ammo doesn't have a problem until you go 4000 rounds, yet I wager you still carry both and sleep soundly at night.
>>
>>34317654
Also, seriously, you don't rotate a new gun into your carry rotation until it's nearly time to replace the recoil spring? How do you know the new recoil spring is any good?
>>
>>34317679
Just promise to post a picture of your matress/wife's arm if you have a ND
>>
>>34317702
>Doesn't understand risk vs severity

When you modify the firing mechanism you are playing with fire.

If a gun malfunctions, you just rack the slide. If it NDs you have a hole in something and some nosy neighbors, at the least.
>>
>>34316528
God that thing is ugly as fuck

I mean really hideous. Get a USP match/ expert and never look back
>>
>>34317705
>>34317730
1. ND means I fucked up, not the trigger.
2. AD in my home means I was playing with a gun with live ammo in the chamber. Again, my fuck up.
3. Slam fires, light primer strikes, and double fires are going to show up quickly with any reasonable volume of fire during regular range practice.

Not telling you to do it with your own guns. But Apex, Geiselle, Zev Tech, hell even CrapCo haven't been sued into oblivion yet, so I assume they are doing something right.
