The average volume of a car tire is 10 liters.
The average amount ejaculated is 3-5 ml.
With a load of 5 ml each ejaculate, it would require 2000 loads of cum.
The average refractory period of an 18 year old is 15 minutes, so if you did nothing but nut constantly whenever you could, it would take approximately 20.8 days to fill a tire with semen.

Would a Colt Official Police with a 5" barrel make for a good shooter for $400? I've always wanted an older cop revolver, as well as a Colt, but I've also heard that Colts are a gamble to shoot regularly because they're hard to fix if something goes bad.
If that's the case, would an older Smith & Wesson M&P .38 be a good or better pick for about the same price?
>>
Novice here looking to buy first gun, what should I go for? Budget in all in roughly 3k
>>
>>34289910
I'd buy the Colt and risk putting a few boxes through it just for fun, but for something you want to take out regularly the M&P or a trade-in Model 10 (if any are even still around) would probably be better.
>>
>>34286116
Depends on chambering, if you can get ammo easily yes.
If you can't only get it if you're into reloading and making your own brass.

>>34286722
Impossible to tell, identifiable details too poorly drawn, most likely not IXI. 100% not modern production.
>>
>>34289975
Well do you want a handgun or a rifle?

A ruger 10/22 is a great starting gun to have, cheap to feed and easy to use.

It really depends on alot of things, do you own land to shoot on? What will the gun be used for? Are you over 21/ can you buy handguns?
>>
>>34290037
I imagined it'd be something in-between. I wouldn't be running hundreds of rounds through it monthly, but I definitely intend to take it for a whirl semi-regularly.
In the long run, I'd probably run more than a few boxes through it though.

Actually, are you asking because you're a complete and total novice and are looking for someone to help walk you through proper handling of firearms? Handling a gun for the first time can be pretty daunting, sure, but if you can't find anybody to hold your hand, you're going to have to man up and just go for it.

Like I said, look for ranges and call and ask about rentals. Have an idea of what you want to shoot. Find out what guns they have available.
After that, look into the specific gun(s) you want to shoot. Don't settle on one in case they are already renting it out or they don't have it anymore for whatever reason.
When you go to shoot, start off by loading one round at a time and work your way up as you get more comfortable.

As a complete novice, I'd say 50-100 rounds (pistol) and about an hour and a half to two hours at the range sound about right.

If you find any other pics the main difference is the short slide stop and safety on the mk1(Top).
The difference between mk7(bottom) and XIX is most modern production XIX have fluted barrels on the sub 50. AE and most have either 2 cut or full pic scope mount.
Early model XIX are externally the same as Mk7's

What's a good hunting rifle that would fit well with an ALICE rig? Mine is like pic related but replace the Canteens with one 2 quart Collapsible Canteen. Then again replace one of the Ammo Pouches with a Condor Multi purpose Map Pouch.

I also rigged a MOLLE 2 Radio Pouch with some para cord attached to the rig 1930s Haversack style so I don't have to take it off to reach food and clothing. This is helpful when still hunting and literally everywhere is your campsite.

But now i need a gun. I have a 1944 Spanish air force Mauser that my dad bought still full of cosmoline. Its an absolute joy but i want to keep it pristine so i can pass it to my off spring.

Texas WMAs range from close bush in the North East and a variety of long open space and woods every where else. Will a Savage Axis in .270 do for both situations?

I bought a .177 pellet gun the other day.

What care and cleaning considerations does it have? Should I be taking apart the piston to grease it up regularly, or is that a spring cleaning kinda thing? What kind of stuff should I use to clean the bore, would normal pipe cleaners be sufficient?

Also, is .177 at 400fps sufficient for literally anything other than knocking cans off fences? I don't eat a lot of meat as it is, but if I felt like hunting, could I go nail rabbits or birds with it or is it kinda like hunting deer with a .22?

Is the dovetail mount present on airguns likely to be the same as picatinny rails on full fledged firearms? Could I take the scope off of this thing and put it on a real gun? If I see accessories for real rifles or airsoft guns, could I take them and put them on this BB gun?

I'm a new shooter, I'm in the naval reserve of the canuckistan so I've shot before, but their instruction isn't great and I'm not very good. I just can't get my head around using a scope, or why I'd even want to if it's not ridiculously powerful. I have no idea how to zero it either. What are the basics to know about rifle scope usage and maintenance?

>>34284480
Same way surface ships do; wooden plugs and "splinter boxes". splinter boxes are basically a bucket with a bolt and toggle threaded through it, kinda like sinker screws you get for hanging stuff in your house. except instead of hanging a shelf it hangs a bucket. The bucket goes around the hole. You tighten it on with a giant wingnut.

The alternative, because splinter boxes are big and bulky and space is always at a premium on any ship, are wooden plugs and rags. You put some rags on the plug to make it fit just right, then smash the plug in with a mallet. If there's gonna be issues with pressure, you build wooden shoring to keep it in place. Metal shoring widgets also exist, but like the splinter boxes, they're bigger and less versatile than just carrying shitloads of 4x4 and a saw.

>Should I be taking apart the piston to grease it up regularly, or is that a spring cleaning kinda thing?
Once and a while

>What kind of stuff should I use to clean the bore, would normal pipe cleaners be sufficient?
Lead solvent, pipe cleaners may be enough but a .15 rod and .17 brush are cheap.

>Also, is .177 at 400fps sufficient for literally anything other than knocking cans off fences?
Its on the low end for rabbits, anything smaller is fine.

>Is the dovetail mount present on airguns likely to be the same as picatinny rails on full fledged firearms?
No its most likely a 3/8" (aka 11mm) dovetail. You can get adapters to fit.

>Could I take the scope off of this thing and put it on a real gun?
Bad idea, likely will break on anything but 22lr

>If I see accessories for real rifles or airsoft guns, could I take them and put them on this BB gun?
No for scopes, yes for anything else.
Air rifles have a strange recoil impulse which most companies don't design scopes to resist, best off just getting air rifle marked scopes.
>>
>>34293291
Ok, so basically, the dovetail is wrong, but adapters exist, but scopes are not cross-compatible in any way.

Beyond maybe some aftermarket irons, is there any must-have meme accessory I should be on the lookout for to make this thing more effective or more fun?

>>
>>34293901
CO2 is generally shittier than PCP or spring piston airguns afaik. PCP will be more powerful than spring piston.

As for specific models, I dunno. But most will have their muzzle velocity listed. Airshit won't be sufficient, you need a proper BB or pellet gun. Airsoft is 6mm plastic balls, BBs are generally steel or copper and pellets are lead. Airshit can't load BBs or vice versa.
>>
>>34293929
Alright, thanks. Looks like I know even less that I thought about this kind of thing. I had pellet guns in mind when i said airshit. I'm probably gonna get some spring-piston gun. My parents also have an awful woodpecker doing a bunch of property damage to their siding every year that I can deal with finally.

Brit here. Never touched a gun in my life but want to start:

>Need character references for a gun license
No real life friends and my family (like most normie Britbongers) find gun possession unthinkable so they'd never give me a reference, plus it may even scare them
>Need background check
Not sure how far this goes. I'm worried this means being put a watchlist and gives them permission to search through my PC and online activity, or ask questions at my workplace.

For the record I don't possess anything illegal on my computer, but like the average /pol/ak I have controversial political views. As for my workplace it would make thing difficult because of all the assumptions the average Britbonger will have about me once they found out I applied for a gun license.

What should I do, and are my fears justified?

Guys, I fucked up, I put my Mosin bolt back together after cleaning, screwing the firing pin into the decocking piece to be exact, and the damn thing got stuck halfway through. I tried using the bolt connector to screw it out but it wouldn't work. I tried smacking it with a hammer and I fucked up the prongs on the connector, now he firing pin isn't flush with the cocking piece and, while I was able to put to bolt back together, it failed the protrusion test by like a millimeter.

Greetings /k/, /tg/ game designer here - I'm writing a modern air combat game and researching Vietnam era aircraft.

Anyone know any good resources on radar ranges of Vietnam era aircraft? I can find some resources, but it would be nice to have something that covers 'nam era more in-depth as I have some holes.

For example the range of the radar on the A-6A and A-6B intruders. I can find the range for the radar on the A-6C - 277km, but it would be nice to find more specific data on the older variants.

Surely this stuff is well documented somewhere? There must be a datasheet of 'Nam era aircraft radars somewhere

Thanks

I am from a socialist police state with very small gun owning options for civilians but have been given special permissions because of credible threats against my life. I can choose between a small list and have narrowed the choices down to a Glock 19, a Beretta 92FS and a SIG Pro 2022. Capacity does not matter because I will only be allowed ten shot magazines, and the cost difference is small compared to the large fees I have to pay. I am mostly liking towards the Beretta 92FS because of the safety and towards the Glock 19 because it is small. I can not feel any of them in real life first which is bad because many people say the Beretta 92FS is large and I am a fairly small person at 171 centimeters (67,3 freedom inchers). Of course you all know better than me so what does /k/ recommend for me?

You're comparing three very different guns, one of which has a different kind of action than the other two. I personally am a big fan of DA/SA because I like carrying safety-off, hammer-down so I can just use the DA trigger-pull as my safety, but not everybody is like that. But my opinion doesn't matter. Try out all three at a range. Buy what you want based on what is most comfortable and which has the action and features you like the most. This applies to every "which gun should I buy out of x, y, and z?" scenario.

>I personally am a big fan of DA/SA because I like carrying safety-off, hammer-down so I can just use the DA trigger-pull as my safety, but not everybody is like that.
I think the Glock 19 is also like this with the only trigger safety. Is it not?
>Try out all three at a range. Buy what you want based on what is most comfortable and which has the action and features you like the most.
I can not. Gun malls are not a thing in my country and ranges are for government users only. I am being allowed to use a range only for my needed training.
>5'4" manlet here. I CC a 92FS every day at work and have done so for several years with no trouble or discomfort.
Can I ask you how big are your hands from the top of the wrist to the top of the middle finger?
>>
>>34300921
A single-action hammer-fired pistol, such as the 1911 or Hi-Power, has a relatively light, short trigger pull and the firing pin is forced forward, into the round's primer by a spring-loaded hammer. The energy of the fired round pushes the slide back, which in turn recocks the hammer into a position to be fired again. A double-action/single-action pistol such as the 92 uses the same principle, but also has a double-action mode, meaning that if the hammer is down, or uncocked, the trigger can be puled, though with a much longer and heavier trigger pull, to cock the hammer and fire the round in one action. Most modern revolvers are DA, as the trigger-pull is used to cock the hammer, fire, and rotate the cylinder in a single movement. In a DA/SA automatic pistol however, after the DA trigger pull, the hammer will already be recocked due to the aforementioned movement of the slide, so even if you shoot in DA mode for the first shot, all subsequent shots will be in single-action, unless you decock the weapon. Some pistols have a decocker lever or combined decocker and safety.

A striker-fired pistol like the Glock on the other hand, rather than having a hammer, has an internal firing pin system similar to that of a bolt-action rifle. This is more mechanically efficient, but every shot is double-action. Some prefer that consistency, or like it as an added safety precaution. Glocks lack an external manual safety.

>Can I ask you how big are your hands from the top of the wrist to the top of the middle finger?
Around 7.5 inches, or 19 commiemeters for you. My hands aren't particularly big, especially for a man. You get used to whatever you shoot a lot, and I like how my big meaty Italian pistol reminds me of my big meaty American cock. Of course, if you don't have the luxury of being able to shoot and get used to all kinds of things, then a smaller gun will usually be more comfortable if you have smaller hands (such as mine) and vice versa for bigger hands.
>>
>>34301198
Thank you for the explainations. I do not think I would like the Glock 19 then. I would rather like to just do bad on the first shot then have a easy trigger pull.
>Around 7.5 inches, or 19 commiemeters for you. My hands aren't particularly big, especially for a man.
We have almost the same hands then. Mine are 18 centimeters. Maybe I can handle the Beterra 92FS.
Do you think I will be better off with the SIG Pro 2022 then with only almost 24 hour of total trainer time? I could maybe try and ask for more but I do not think they will let me. It is a military police range and they are very restricted about who can go on there.
>>
Is a coyote going to fucking explode if I shoot it with 7mm rem mag? I know it's not ideal but I don't want it to limp around with a .22 in its ass either.
>>
>>34301354
Wait, so you don't get to train on your own, even after the classes? If that's the case then you're probably better off with the smaller gun. I'm not familiar with the Sig Pro series but I believe it's similar to the 220/226, which is a highly-regarded product.

Still though, if you don't have a choice it doesn't really matter which you buy since you'll get used to whatever you shoot. Research the features of each gun and what they mean and choose whichever you think will fit your needs best. If malnourished Russian manlet conscripts can get used to rifles longer than they are tall you can get used to whatever you decide on.

I do not think so. This does not usually happen so there is no internet guide or any thing. I will ask them to see although.
>I'm not familiar with the Sig Pro series but I believe it's similar to the 220/226, which is a highly-regarded product.
It is the 'poor man P226' with the nylon frame in stead of the anodised aluminium one.
>Research the features of each gun and what they mean and choose whichever you think will fit your needs best.
All right. Thank you very much for hælping me. Last question is do you think that having the safety on the Berretta 92FS will be good for when the gun is just at home for safety? (we do not have different words for the gun part safety and the general safe activity and I hope that it makes sense any way)

Does /k/ have any suggestions? I'm currently considering this one, https://www.amazon.com/Nikon-ProStaff-Black-Riflescope-Nikoplex/dp/B004MYBKLS/ but I want to know if there are better options available for my budget.

If you can only get 10 round mag can you get a Glock 26? Much smaller than the 19 and it only holds 10 rounds.

But really, it all comes down to personal preferences. Is there ways for you to hold each one and maybe shoot them?

A gun is an inanimate object and will not discharge on its own unless there is some defect or mechanical failure. There is no reason to have the safety engaged unless you're actively carrying it, and even then plenty of people prefer to carry with the safety off. If you leave the hammer uncocked it doesn't even matter if you leave it loaded with a round in the chamber. If you don't have a lot of time to practice flipping off the safety and/or racking the slide before firing I recommend leaving it with a round in the chamber and hammer down, and just using the DA trigger pull as your safety, as I do when I carry. In a dangerous situation you want to be deadly as quickly and reliably as possible. Your local laws might have something to say about leaving a round in the chamber though, I don't know. This applies to the Sig as well. The Glock has several passive internal safety mechanisms but as there is no manual safety you don't have to worry about this anyways.

I do not think I will use the safety for carrying and I maybe now think I do not need any. I may still get the Beretta 92FS only because it looks better. Silly but it may probably be only for decorative anyways.

$530 new is basically the only price you'll see unless you start shopping blue label. Glock has a stupid rule that everyone that carries their pistols has to have them priced at their suggested price or they will stop dealing to them. All sales have to be aproved by glock.

Most used glocks show very little wear as long as they're not leo trade ins, dont bother buying new not worth it in my opinion.

Wash them on cold low, and then low heat dry and complete the rest of the dry with an air dry hanging.

Since the bags are filled with synthetics, you can technically just shove them in a machine and wash/dry them, but over time it makes the bag less puffy/fluffy, so if you baby it, it stays puffy through multiple washes.

technically, yes

it's relatively minimal for most mags so imo as long as the mag is in a dry location with stable temp and not being crushed, you're good to go

Don't know how much they go for now but you can probably get it for around 200.
They aren't bad pistols but are prone to parts breakage and are not worth repairing.
So if you wanted something you can beat the shit out of for maybe 3000 rounds then toss, it is the pistol for you.

What parts are common to breakage? A lot of reviews I read point to the ejector being worthless on most of them.

Not sure, nothing major from what i've read just small parts.
