This.
You know what to do:
Choose one
Destroy one
Ban one
And gift one to Tyrone.
>Give the upstanding Tyrone the M1 Garand so we can hear the obvious ping when he runs out of ammo
>Ban the Mini14 since it's a piece of shit anyway
>Choose the M1 Carbine since I like milsurp
>Destroy the M1A because more can always be made
Easy. Choose Ruger because muh A-team. Destroy carbine because it's probably a universal or some shit. Ban M1A because they're gay and overpriced. Give Tyrone the Garand so he gets M1 thumb when he needs to shoot and is killed in a drive-by.

Destroy the M1 Carbine
Ban the Ruger (fuck Bill)
Give Tyrone the Garand (funniest drive-by ever)

Were horse archer tactics really viable on a mountainous island?
>>34535506
Doubtful. They were a land base army. Getting enough ships, horses, equipment, and men across the ocean would probably have been too much for them to attempt.
>>34536019
Bruh they did it twice but failed both times due to the weather. If they'd have made landfall you bet your ass they would have taken over japan. Those nipponese fuckers were so divided they would have sold their neighbors into mongol slavery just to keep their land.
>>34536044
They did make landfall, they ended up losing. But the main reason for their lack of success was that mongols are weak to water. Its why Song China was able to hide behind the Yangtze for 60 years till they were sold out by a traitor chink.

how can nukes be real if ur eyes aren't real
>So more drinking than thinking has gone into this post.
Alright /k/, so how hard would it be to manufacture ammunition and fire it at the same time.
I'm talking about some kind of hypothetical gun that would have the ability to load a shell casing with power and a bullet, and then chamber and fire it. Not all at the same time, but on a belt or array or something.
>but OP that's such a dumb fucking idea.
I was thinking about helicopter mounted miniguns, and how a conveyor belt could be worked into it. So sue me.
Anyway, have at it /K/ommandos.
>>34535399
That is brilliant. If only you could link a bunch of rounds together and had a weapon that could feed and fire the links.
Amazing no one has thought of this before.
>>34535399
Give it 30-50 years and I see conventional munitions being created in the field using 3D printing. Instead of arming up with ammo, you'd load up with 3D printing material.
The printer would manufacture additional munitions as needed based on use, so if for example your .50 gunner opens up on some allahu ackbars a computer will know how many rounds are being fired and another computer will have a 3D printer make additional rounds on demand hooked up to the same internal system, eliminating the need to reload or to restock ammo.
Media for the printer would be fueled like gasoline or water; just pour/put it in. This is the future: instead of sending 100 things to a theatre (space, war, etc), you're going to send a few dozen things along with a piece of equipment that can turn those few dozen into hundreds.

what does /k/ think of mini14, and can mini14 serve as a battle rifle? why and why not, please explain.
Also would it be a good idea for some 3rd world country to adopt mini14 as their main rifle for their army?
The AC556 was pretty sweet. No it's not a battle rifle in the popular definition of battle rifles (not a full power rifle cartridge). No, they are too expensive for a 3rd world country, there are better options for the money, and I doubt Ruger as a company would go for it (they definitely wouldn't while ol Bill was alive).
>>34534670
Mini-14 can't be a battle rifle just because it utilizes an intermediate cartridge. Rechambering it to something bigger would just make it an M14.
So as a main service rifle it would be a downgrade in comparison to an AK platform for example.
5.56×45mm NATO ammo be use in mini14?
Would it be a good idea to start buying all the nuggets I can find and just sit on them for a couple months in sell them? The mosins price has gone up over $50 in a year alone but in a few years who know how much they'll be worth.
>>34534658
It would've been smart to do that 15 years ago when you could get them for 90 bucks. Sure, they'll probably go up in price but it'll be 10 years before you can cash in. Plus, how much are you really going to make, honestly? I wouldn't do it unless you just really want 40 mosins for the lulz. You might make a couple bucks but you definitely won't get rich.
>>34534658

>>34534658
I'd suggest buying at least a dozen right now. Prices are only going to skyrocket in the next 5 years.
