Mosins have gotten pricey Anon. Plus the bolt is kinda trash. If you want a military rifle, and money for ammo isn't an issue, big 5 usually has old yugo mausers stocked. Bolt is better than Mosins and they are generally better put together. Can't help ya if you want something modern though sorry. Although Remington 600's and 660's are pretty fun.

does anyone use a pistol lanyard. i have to stop using my shoulder holster its just no comfortable anymore when its hot and i have to go back to a outside the belt holster but i dont want another gun stolen so i was thinking about using a lanyard since my glock has the little hole for one.

The 357 will always be superior since the extra weight makes shooting 38 +P better and the fact that you can still shoot 357 if you want to. There are plenty of really good defensive loads for 2" revolvers.

It's not a bad idea to stay fit, but it certainly isn't required to defend your life. You aren't expected to chase down bad guys. just draw your pistol and be able to hold it briefly.

What are some /k/ careers? I feel like a failure because all of my family has been either military or police. I'm the first to be born with weak lung genetics, and have asthma. The military very plainly said no, and my local police force also denied me. I'm currently in school to become a dietician (an interest of mine), but I can't really see myself sitting behind a desk all day doing it for life.
