what's with the negativity on this board? this is why it's such a dead shithole compared to places like /fit/ and even /i/
probably because getting gainz in art is so much slower than in fitness
>>3080070
The difference is that grinding in fitness works, and grinding in art doesn't
>>3080070
>so much slower than in fitness
true, manlets bulk fast as fuck. their insecurities also cause them to brag the loudest, /fit/ is infested with these tiny big boys who think they're hot shit because they can easily see gains on their t rex limbs
I'll start this off. Might do a portrait or still life progress too if the threads dead. Let's be self-congratulatory!

What if we all drew each other?

that would require me having to put an image of myself on this site, the idea of which is fucking revolting to me

How can I keep up with all the new popular games and animes that people make fanart of? i'm neither a gamer nor an anime person so I usually only know what's popular in the moment when 3+ of the artists I follow all make fanart of it. how can i stay on top? how do i know where to find the hype first instead of being the last to know? are there some facebook pages i need to follow or something.
>>3078568
Check on the top played games of Twitch and check out Myanimelist for animes of the season

Follow art majors that identify with faggy pronouns on twitter and tumblr.
Or maybe you could continue ignoring that puerile shit and do whatever you're passionate about
I fucking MADE it. You jelly, cunts? How many do you have? 2? Maybe study some loomis and you can reach my level.
nice work anon. why so bitter about it.
>>3073722
because they are 90% bots

what is that, tumblr?
I have been messing around with a pixel art program and I pull up this "forest" pixel art, what do you guys think
Hey /ic/ I was hoping you could help me out. I've always loved this style of video where numerous quick clips are spliced together quickly. Its seen in TV commonly for brainwashing scenes. I have no idea what its called but I was hoping maybe one of you knew?

i don't think there's a specific term for it, it's just a kind of montage

Weaklings.
>spend an hour drawing
>get pangs of loneliness and sadness
>HAVE to come on /ic/ or open up twitch, something with other people
How do artists deal with the loneliness of the craft? How did the old masters do it?

I joined a bunch of active discords that i never visit so the little notification bleep reminds me that there's people being active around, even if its in an abstract way. It's gay and depressing as a concept but it works.
Youtube videos or twitch streams help me with that. If I have 0 connections to the outside world I get a bad feeling.

Thanks for reminding me not to waste time with bullshit like this thread.

Go back to /b/. I'm curious about the environments that's then denizens of this board work in.

I've been feeling down recently. For the past few weeks or so I haven't been drawing much. The last thing I drew was Kirby/Kamen Rider fanart. I thought that would make me feel better and it did for a while.
I don't know why I'm suddenly like this. Maybe I feel like I haven't improved as much as I liked. Has anyone felt like this before?
happens to everyone probably. just try and get back on the horse. do some study , improve a little and you will feel better.
>>3083040
Oh you mean your hopes and dreams are probably never going to be realized and who's going to notice or care anyway? That feeling?
lol it happens to me every time I finish a illustration .get used to it or just stop.
In my case ,I can't stop. Art really is a decease.Wish I was a normie
Anyone have one of these?
I stumbled upon this video of this designer using the sliders on the controller to adjust settings on his game
https://youtu.be/NwPIoVW65pE?t=1334
it seems like this type of hardware would be incredilbly useful for art (adjusting brush size, opacity, zoom etc ould all have their own sliders)
I use a button on the stylus to change brush size and a button on the tablet to zoom in and out
>>3082843
the tablet has basically that on the side though
>>3082856
actually now that i think about it using the tablet as a midi controller is a pretty good idea, especially if it's one of those ones with touch functionality
Hey so i want to start animating but i dont know whether to buy photoshop or flash?
which one should i get?
>>3082333
What the fuck anon, photoshop doesn't animate, they're both adobe products and flash is the one specifically made to animate. Also don't buy either, they're pretty simple to get for free. As I've done with most adobe products.
>>3083077
>What the fuck anon, photoshop doesn't animate,
He doesn't know about the incredible hidden timeline feature in photoshop! Photoshop timeline is pretty powerful for frame by frame, has onion skinning and tweening, you can even use layers to parallax backgrounds.
This is an old drawing I just thought I'd post it here in case you want to critique it. It's Gorillaz fanart if you don't know.
>>3082051
I laughed
>>3082051
Under 18, get out kid, go show your MS Paint shit to mummy, or your fourth grade art teacher.
>>3082051
wow thats an old drawing? you must be really good now, have you ever considered selling your art? you could probably do art as a job
How the hell do people like this with art like that have thousands of followers when I can barely get 100?
>>3081556
he's a good looking guy. i doubt those followers are for his art.
>>3081556
kek. get fucked nerd.
