I've been trying to find YouTube videos that match the following description:
Montage of drawings/paintings done by an artist, no talking or interruptions(preferably with the date listed, indicating progress), showing a person who has no idea how to draw in the least bit, ascending to be a skilled artist.
I've found videos where people go from low adult drawing level to photorealistic drawing, and I've found videos where people talk about their drawing progress with some drawings, but never anything that skims through drawings, showing the progress as it happens, and, frankly, this is something I want to see.
Anyone have any links?

sigh... op, this is not impressive. Human copies machines are the worst, just braindead monkeys drawing pop culture stars to gain exposition. dont be fooled. dont go to that path if you think you have a brain.

i don't know i have a certain fondness for pencil renderings like this. it's not very impressive, every craft fair in the world has at least one person as good as the ops pic. but it's cute isn't it? i'd spend $20 on an A4 of tay sway, worth it for the irony alone
they normally use a scale method, they dont measure just withe the eyes >:(
Is my dwrawing ok or dumb

Let me rephrase will my drawing make a tacky painting

god, the amount of smudging means this took way longer than it should have.
What are your thoughts on destiny blue?
Does she successfully bring emotion into anime art?
From her Deviantart page:
DestinyBlue is one of DeviantArt's most recognized and beloved artists. She is a long-term deviant who regularly pours her heart and soul into the community, and spends much of her time each day leaving thoughtful, helpful comments for other artists on their work. In addition to the kindness and energy she puts forth into the community, her art is instantly recognizable, covering a variety of themes that any viewer can appreciate and connect with. It is our pleasure to name DestinyBlue the recipient of the Deviousness Award for July 2015.

Hello, I'm knew on this board, but i didn't find any other that fits more on this subject than this one.
I'm tattooing and at the moment needing some idea, as you can see on those pictures, on the center have this catrina woman, right side it will be a skull and in the top, bottom side flowers, so I'm needing idea for the left side.
Please someone can give me good ideas, if possible pictures to be easier to view
How many paintings do you need for an exhibition? Lets say a small to medium size gallery.
What should be my target figure?
>>3081421
at least 20 or i regret wasting my time
>>3081421
I'd say 5-15. Why don't you talk to your gallerist? What's your situation? They should be a cohesive body of works, and you should leave the unfinished/imperfect/oddball ones at home.
for a small gallery if you were working 18"24-22"x28" maybe... uhhhhh... 20-25 paintings?
I mean walk into a gallery and figure it out in your head...
Do I have to study perspective until I master it and then move on to other stuff? It's so fucking boring and exhaustive but I have to learn it.
Even thought it sounds cheesy, i think the point with perspective is to know it so well that you dont find it boring and exhaustive. I've always hated vanishing points, so i started drawing freehand perspective with like 4-6 lines for the grid and then just eyeball the rest. Really helped me overcome the fear of perspective.
>>3081021
Like everything, it requires practice. While it may be boring, it can be a pretty powerful asset as soon as you get it down.
But at the same time, it's also rather situational. Like >>3081030, I also hate vanishing points. So I really only use them for outright complex angles more than anything.
>>3081021
no, you just need to understand the basics. 'mastering perspective' is really a way of procrastinating, 'oh no i can't do any art today, i have to know how to rotate a box at will!'
you can learn more advanced stuff later if you end up needing it
how does this look?? i have been doing NSFW art for about two years now
sucks
was this drawn in ms paint?

That's not very relevant but ok
did this guy shit on your doodles or something?
How do you deal with oversaturated market that is art? How can you succeed in today's world that is nothing but a big rats race? Everybody is talking about grinding or other shit but you never talk about how to actually bite the whole thing so you can actually get anything from it
bUrself
>>3080441
But it isn't oversaturated.
>>3080441
consider the world's population and then consider what percentage of that population is an artist, then consider what part of that percentage is an artist in the field you want to work in.
Hey. Asked yesterday but really didn't get a response. I was wondering if my character Clare looks better with or without glasses.
I would also love to see your original anime girls.
This is without glasses
nah.
Any critique??
I just made this dude with some pixel trash
Just tell me how to improve him
Idk how to move legs
You have no detail at all
>>3081231
There's a dedicated pixel thread already you fucking troglodyte, a thread died for this
>>3081231
hint: more than just your toes move when you walk. legs, arm, head bob. and the sword bob makes no sense. study walk cycles.

buncha white balding smug faggots

modern decadent art is shit, but so are paintings of russian plebs. it's literally formulated to appeal to plebs.

So far I only know of:

How to Render
There are over 1000 different tutorials on it. Just pick one and get started, if it doesn't work out pick another and try again.
Why does my art look shitty? It has a wierd low quality deviant art feeling, but I dont know why.
>>3080504
sharpen pencil
use real paper
take better photos or get a scanner
edit the photos levels in photoshop to make your lines pop
crop and resize
welcome to online presentation

>drawing animu
there's your reason
>>3080504
Get a light box and ink your drawings on clean white paper.
Also draw better.
So what's it take to be able to draw paintings like this one? What skills are necessary?
Most people here ask how to draw and other simple things but I'd like to know about more advance techniques. Any seasoned artists willing answer this?
>>3080032
you don't draw paintings for starters
>>3080032
you need balls
you need the balls to believe in a vision
and you need the balls to believe in your motor skills to carry out that vision
and you need to have the balls to be patient with mistakes
you dont have any? youre wasting your time
and you gotta have the balls to refute me when i tell you youre wasting your time
>>3080061
and when i say balls
i mean real, hefty clackers. high density. clack clack motherfucker. people should hear you coming from a mile away from how loud your balls clack when you walk.
