whats wrong with the current one?
>someone plays against an AI in dota 2 and loses
>the game was one on one
>they both played the hero who they decided was the easiest for an AI to learn
>elon shits his pants anyways
it's an impressive feat of course, but i wouldn't say the AI has surpassed humanity in dota.
it's just a trick like Eugene Goostman.
>>61915730
Bots have always had an advantage over human players because:
>pixel perfect precision
>instant reaction time
>absolute knowledge of all "math" (stats) in game
>all-seeing
>hivemind
An AI utilizing all of the above would always beat a human player. But I assume the dota2 AI wasn't given bot knowledge and it was just playing like a normal human would?
>>61915780
not sure if the bot was given special knowledge of stats. but the hero they were playing required excellent precision and timing, which of course the bot can do perfectly every time. doesn't matter if it plays like shit as long as it can kill the other hero every time without fail.
>they both played the hero who they decided was the easiest for an AI to learn
Shadowfiend is standard 1v1 hero. It wasn't chosen because it was easy for the AI.
>>61915780
>>absolute knowledge of all "math" (stats) in game
>>all-seeing
>>hivemind
The AI started with no knowledge of the game and has no more information that a normal player. It learned dota just like a human would. And it was a 1v1, how does hivemind apply here?
Trying to read edition.

Powerful package manager with dependency resolution. If your desired software isn't in the repository, build it with xbps-src and consider adding it.

>Gaming chat client Discord has banned servers and several users linked to white supremacist and Nazi ideologies, according to a tweet sent out from the official Discord account. “Discord’s mission is to bring people together around gaming,” their statement on Twitter read. “We will continue to take action against white supremacy, nazi ideology, and all forms of hate.”
>Saturday’s Charlottesville rally to retain a statue of Robert E. Lee drew participants from alt-right, Nazi, white supremacist and KKK groups. Following the rally, which resulted in the death of a counter-protester attacked by a car, a member of the Daily Stormer Discord, a group associated with the white supremacist movement, allegedly offered to “bring weapons” to the victim’s funeral. Journalist Laura Loomer reported the message to Discord via Twitter, spurring Discord to conduct an investigation which apparently resulted in them shutting down servers relating to Daily Stormer and Altright.com, another website associated with white supremacists and neo-Nazis like Richard Spencer. Discord also ceased service for “a number of accounts associated with the events in Charlottesville.”
>In subsequent tweets, Discord added that while they don’t read users’ private conversations, they will swiftly take action when people violate their Terms of Service.
>Altright.com swiftly posted a response, referring to Discord’s employees as “pathetic nerd cucks” who, in their actions, “joined the war against free speech.” They added, “The Globo-Corpo-Homo-Judeo establishment is coming at us from all angles and lobbing everything that they have our way. . .Boy, oh boy. They sure picked the wrong enemy. History has shown us that regions of disenfranchised, intelligent and motivated young men are very very good at resisting tyranny.”
Neither Discord nor Altright.com representatives have responded to Kotaku’s requests for comment.

Im about to go to uni and have a budget of $600. What do you guys recommenx i buy. Is pic related worth it?
Lenovo ThinkPad P71
T420
It's the highest quality modern laptop you can buy and is very beautiful and graceful to behold.
>>61915030
Thinkpads are shilled here, and they are very good quality for the price. It's also nice to be able to use a dock and have easily replaceable/upgradeable parts.
That said, if it will be your only pc and you want to play games, the acer E series laptops are a good deal. Go on their website and compare specs for price. Most of them have dedicated graphics, but stay away from Intel because it bumps the price $200+ for the same performance
Which sounds better?

maxing the hardware speakers sounds better
depends if you want other programs to sound louder or lower
besides that it makes no difference

I'm a leaf in Japan trying to decide between two phones.
One is the Raijin phone by Freetel, which uses a MediaTek MT6750 (octacore)processor.
The other is the Asus Zenfone 3 Laser, which uses Snapdragon 430 (quad)
Which is better, a quad or an octacore?
I'll post the stats of both phones.
Raijin
Zenfone 3 laser.
I like the zenfone because it's lighter and slimmer.
The Raijin seems like it has better stats tho.
Get the Asus
