I tried installing 7 on my Stream but I needed USB 3.0 drivers to continue. Too much of a pain in the ass to find them.

If you turn on Legacy Boot in the BIOS, Linux is a piece of cake though. Just make sure you get the Broadcom WiFi drivers. Ubuntu can configure the adapter with a couple of terminal commands you can find online.
