>Fire prevention
I don't see the problem, both will trip if more than ~1,500 watts are used so unless you have a computer with an intel processor you should be fine.

Wait for raven ridge. Current intel based UMPCs are fucking dogshit.
I actually have a pocket, and I don't mind it. It has its flaws but overall is well built and very useable.

What's the easiest way to remove "#43" from all folder names recursively in a folder? the 43 can be any number

I am using 2 monitors, one tv and one computer monitor.

my computer monitor is connected hdmi to hdmi and works great

my tv is connected display port to hdmi.

I can get video but I get no sound.

If i connect display port to hdmi to my monitor I get no video and no sound.

When I go into my sound playback I can see my monitor when connected via hdmi. but my TV does not come up through the display port

It says nothing is plugged in for any of my display ports.

How do I get sound, I updated my graphics card drivers but i can't get the display ports to work.

Also not quite as important but the display on my tv won't pick up unless I have my tv on first. When I had my old computer I could turn my computer on and turn on the tv when I needed it as a second monitor. (this was hdmi to hdmi though)

I'm assuming I need drivers but I can't find any and I updated my graphics card drivers but nothing is working.

If you want help:
>Assemble parts list
>State the budget for your build (and country if not USA)
>List games/software you use often, as well as your monitor resolution + refresh rate
>Clarify your goal for build improvements: lower price or improved specs?
How to assemble a PC, select components & more (outdated)

No i5 unless discounted
>G4560 - poverty-tier builds
>R3 1200 - Budget builds (<$500)
>R3 1300x - Good stop-gap between the 1500x and the 1200, only get a 1400 if you absolutely need multithreading
>R5 1500x - Good but up to 1600 if you can
>R5 1600 - Best value for higher fps gaming / mixed usage; 1600x if you want higher stock clocks
>R7/Used Xeon/Threadripper - Compute/Multitask/VM/mixed use; Not for just gaming

Coin miners have driven price up and stock down, waiting to buy a GPU might be wiser
>Integrated CPU Graphics - Desktop stuff and very light games
>GTX 1050(Ti) - Lower end budget cards, drop settings on newer games, RX560 beaten by both
>RX570 - [email protected]~hz maxed, running most maxed older games at 100~Hz
>RX580 and GTX1060 6GB - [email protected] maxed, [email protected] at lower settings; RX580 better in newer games
>GTX 1070 - [email protected] /[email protected] at high
>GTX 1080 - [email protected] / [email protected] maxed, [email protected] in a few games; Probably the highest end card you need for 1080p/1440p
>GTX 1080Ti - [email protected] and [email protected] maxed/high in many games
>Vega NOW.

>Check your Mobo QVL before buying any RAM
>Ryzen CPUs benefits a lot from high speed RAM

Always consider an SSD. Try buying a large SSD for what you'd pay for your SSD+HDD combined, and add a HDD later
NVMe SSDs aren't for a faster OS boot, they're for productivity/scratch disk/VMs. NVMe and M.2 are not the same thing, M.2 is a form factor.
The Ryzen lineup comes with surprisingly good stock coolers. consider using them over any <$30 cooler.

Tough decision for essentially the same money.

Good Brand, air cooled, newer designed (11 gbps)

ok? Brand, hybrid watercooled, older card (Looks to be end of line/discontinued)

I'm still on an old Sandy Bridge platform and have been putting off upgrading forever since I only really care about single-core performance for my gaymen, I still play a bunch of old games that absolutely rape either one or two cores and don't touch any others.

How dumb would it be for me to buy a pre-binned 5.4GHz 7740X if I essentially have money to throw away? Are there any benchmarks for it at these clocks? Highest I could find was 5.3GHz.

I know how shit the 7740X is from a price to performance perspective.

Are wireless frequencies harmful to you, and is it dangerous to sleep near a wireless router?

Asking on behalf of my mom, she's worried that it's making her breast cancer worse, I don't know how to convince her it isn't, especially when she has friends that can "feel" wireless frequencies.

no they're not but theres nothing we or you can say to convince your deluded mother.
Stress is harmful. Lots of things can cause stress, like fear of the unknown and having tumors in your tit. So I think it's dangerous for your mom to sleep near a wireless router. At least until the stressors in her life can be reduced.

Best browser!

* Lightweight on RAM
* No Ads
* No botnet
* Apple is an honest business, makes money by selling you shiny top quality hardware, doesn't need to sell your data, so they won't.
* Native Ad Blockers ("Content Blockers") API
* "Do not Track" feature
* Even has a FUCKING AI to block trackers!
* Supports DASH, HLS, MP4, HEVC, JPEG2000, HEIF, etc.
* Supports NPAPI (real Flash, Java), if you allow these plugins, and allow the sites
* Shuts down autoplay Ads (Beta version)
* Excellent, complete WebDev utilities
* First to fully support ES6
* The best JavaScript performance (https://arewefastyet.com), yes, better than V8
* Large number of good quality extensions
* Can fucking force PIP support on YouTube via extensions
* Built-in Reader mode (like Readability)
* Built-in reading list (like Pocket)
* Best battery life

Extensive feature support, professional security team, Hand-off support, multitouch gestures, smooth scrolling, no jumpiness on page load.

No fucking self-respecting site would chose not to support Safari, and all iPhone users (50% of mobile traffic)!

This is a gift from Steve Jobs to all Mac users.

Windows and Linux users: fuck you and your amateur and chinkbrowsers, you can't have this either!

Protip: You can't
25 posts and 2 images submitted.
Wow, it's not like every language is getting (often more) massive updates.

Why you shouldn't use C# is because it's basically a Windows only (you could use it somewhere else, but really basically nobody does or will).

Forever and increasingly second fiddle to Java and the other JVM languages. Even if it's syntactically okay, it's just on the wrong runtime, and without access to the right libs (JVM has better stuff in most cases).
