I mostly get around 150/20 though, I'm lucky on getting more than I'm paying for.

Hey /g/. Let's say if I want to start my own video sharing or porn website, what would be the best method to approach this? What scripts to use? I have some minor web knowledge but anything will help. Don't know what other boards to ask and I tought you guys would know best.

There are tons of web frameworks that do most of the heavy lifting, including subscriptions, security, payment gateway integration, authentication, video streaming, etc. Just start small and and start googling.

Your biggest challenge will be generating and hosting video content. AWS may be good for this, I haven't looked into it in depth.

I'm new to linux and particularly using shell scripts. On my android, i'm trying to use mem.sh to output total amount of free memory + swap. I think one error is how the variables are defined but I don't know how to rectify this.when run as a script, it outputs error in screenshot. I understand why, but can't figure out how to resolve it. Help from someone more intelligent than me please?

Nevermind then, sorry.
>>
It's a syntax error. Problem is that you can't just do this:
< (free -m)

Bash sees the ( token and doesn't understand what the fuck you mean. Perhaps you were trying to do shell interpolation, in which case you should have prefixed it with a $ character. So it should look like $(command args) instead of (command args)
>>
>>61221402
Process substitution <(free -m) isn't available in sh.

Seeing the shebang, #!/bin/bash, you have to either execute it with ./mem.sh (if you enabled executable bit with chmod +x mem.sh) or do bash mem.sh instead of sh mem.sh

How the fuck did this piece of shit ever take off, let alone manage to become a huge success?

I have literally never in my life even attempted to use a more infuriating product. I say attempted, because to this day, the few times I could've actually used the damn thing, it tried it's fucking hardest to keep me out. Seriously, go fucking try using it in any way, it wants you to log in before you can see anything, once you're logged in it REQUIRES you to make your own board and pin shit to it, it's unusable on a phone without the app and will nag you until you install it, trying to actually open a single thing will flood you with suggestions of stuff to pin instead of just showing you the damned thing, sharing a link with someone does the exact same fucking thing it fucking prioritizes the suggestions and shows the actual picture you sent as a thumbnail, it puts its disgusting logo and watermark fucking everywhere, and it has singlehandedly ruined Google's reverse image search with its stolen/spammed/forced content.

UI and UX be damned, convenience be damned, intuition be damned, and they still fucking made it. Makes me question the legitimacy of the concepts themselves since they're constantly being shoved down our throats as the means to success.

Holy fucking shit.

a friend of mine wants to buy a mac with 27" 5k retina display for photo enjoyment and minor editing and asked me for advice as he's not very tech-savvy apart from photography. he already has a decent windows laptop so he doesn't actually need a second computer, he'd buy it for the display alone. is there a standalone display which can match the image quality of the 5k mac?

LG Ultrafine 5k or the Dell Ultrasharp 32 8k. Windows will never be as comfy though because the font rendering is awful and in general Microsoft has no taste.
