So, I'm fat. I'm really fucking out of shape. I also decided to enlist in the marine corps, and now I'm in the DEP. I want infantry and I'm not taking a POG job. Anyways, that's besides the point. I'm 6'3" and 236 lbs. I need to lose weight to ship out, but I've got no fucking clue how to eat right. I was always raised to eat whenever I want, and eat whatever I want.

What are some healthy meal ideas? I eat a lot of fast food because its convienent for me on my 30 minute lunch breaks. I gotta start cooking my lunches the night before but I've got no idea what to bring for lunch.

There's more though.

I'm completely shit at running, and I can never seem to keep myself going. My legs burn and I want to just stop, so after awhile I end up taking a rest or jogging really really fucking slow. My last 1.5 mile run was 14:58. What are some tips to help my running? I'm going to start the C25K program tomorrow and see id that helps.


My pull ups are also shit. I need to do at least 3 to get an infantry contract and 6 to ship out with that contract. I can do 2. What are some ways to help my pull ups? I don't use a pull up bar at my house because I don't want to break the fucking doorway. Don't known if it would happen, but still.

Stop lifting heavy and focus on endurance.

As far as food goes, start cooking on Sunday night for the week. You can grill chicken, cook up a shit ton of egg whites, brown rice and broccoli all at the same time. It will take about an hour. Nuke some oatmeal to go with the eggs in the morning. Pack the rest of it in Tupperware and carry it with you. It sucks and it's bland but eat every two hours, it will get weight off you fast.

Three years ago I was going to some other gym there was some petite girl. After year of working out she literally stayed the same. She wasn't even skinnier. She was taking some half kilo wieght and pump them with no effect. Than she got a trainer and wtf happend in a year she became buff as hell. I think she started to take some shit. I choose some other gym and haven't seen her for a year. I saw her yesterday in a mall she got bigger than most guys I know I literally felt beta cuck guys.

You could weigh it on a scale. You could use a tablespoon (or whatever measuring spoon euros have) to scoop it out. You could also not use butter at all because it's extremely calorie dense and not a great idea to eat while cutting.

Is soda really all that bad? I hate drinking, but if I'm ever at a party or something, is it really the end of the world if I have a few Sprites? I don't know what else to do, and I'm sure as hell not drinking water when I'm trying to actually enjoy myself.

I need advice.

How is one supposed to defeat problems like Procrastination, Laziness, Social Awkwardness, and an Addictive Personality?

These problems have been with me my entire life, ever since I was a young child, they've been with me and have been the entire reason I've never been able to push myself to better myself, not only physically. I've tried getting fit and getting into more constructive activities, but always return back to square one.

It's so much easier to blame others, run away from your fears, return to the old habits, and convince yourself it's okay when it's actually just one of the problems you face.

I don't know how to interact with people, especially women (it's a miracle I have friends and actually managed to get laid). I'm addicted to the internet and video games, I never have the desire to do anything that I know would help me, and I hate being reminded of this. What the hell do I do? I'm in one of the lowest places in my life. I have trouble even finding the willpower to work on hobbies that I actually ENJOY simply because I don't have the effort or willpower to.

A little bit of background:

The past six months have been a blur of drug-use (marijuana, psychedelics, some alcohol), depression, anxiety, and despair. I had to deal with putting down my dog, my father almost dying due to a blood-clot, the fear of my friends hating me, moving away, severe weight loss, the abuse of an ex-girlfriend / current friend-with-benefits, and existential crises revolving around my own death. The only reason I never actually put a bullet through my head was because I was too much of a pussy to.

I'm still recovering from this period, and I'm definitely making progress returning back to normal. But when I'm out, my age-old problems of procrastination, laziness, awkwardness, low self-esteem, and addiction will still be there to keep me down.

What do?

you need to get a job with real responsibility, not some sort of slacker position. Having a sense of purpose even if it's a physical labor job just puts you in a mindset that you WANT to be ready for work therefore not to make bad decisions to hurt it. The rest of the steps can be achieved through hanging out with friends, dates, travel, all sorts of methods.
