I started browsing in 2007 when I was 10, as a substitute for a social life.

Now i'm basically a normie and have a healthy & complete life, except for how much time I spend here. It feels like my brain is 'wired' for this place; if I'm in front of a screen I won't even notice I've switched to browsing from working until an hour has gone by. It's the same subconscious urge as drugs, except even stronger.

I can't talk to anyone about it because I don't want my past drug abuse on my medical/psych record (I hid it very well; clean for 4 years now). Also, no one takes social media addiction seriously.

You could use a wind-up timer and a "set schedule".

Don't plant your ass when you browse. It's too easy to go into "alpha state". Walk, if you have a laptop, or at least stand. There are also mini-exercise-bikes that might be useful. When you get tired, then stop browsing.

For every fifteen minutes you browse, you have to do fifteen minutes of physical activity—jump rope, sit-ups, jogging, etc. Worst case-you'll associate browsing with exertion; best case-you'll get a sexy bod.

See, i just can't focus on serious work if i'm walking or cycling. Often, I sit to work, work for a while, then all of a sudden I realize I've been browsing for an hour.

Keep trying man, it's all you can do. Maybe consider joining an organization where you can meet people?

Go see a doctor about it, have you also considered just owning your weirdness with pride? Don't get me wrong obviously you need to look into social etiquette but shit like how to sit is as easy to fix as googling "people sitting". If you want to learn what's not weird just pay attention to when people look at you weird, not when some random guy or girl does it either, I mean when a couple of people notice you with questionable faces, remember what you did and train yourself not to do it and you'll be set.

If you are actually concerned about these things negatively effecting your life then see a therapist and try to change them. As an Autistic person that gave up on changing after 10 years of medication and 9 therapists, I'd really suggest trying to live with it and owning it.

I work everyday from 8 to 5 and study from 6:30 to 10:30. I commute from home to work in an hour, from work to uni in an hour and a half, and from uni to home in hour and a half.

My only hope is the 10-minute chat we had yesterday. She asked a work-related question in a very formal tone, and I was able to relax it by being friendly and cheerful, so maybe if I ask her for an update I can steer the conversation to asking her for a coffee.

So yeah, if I'd have done it last year I wouldn't have to worry about these things now. I mean in the worst-case scenario I'd know she just didn't like me, but now it's just pure agony because of the sheer amount of uncertainty.

As for you OP, HS is never hard, just really gay. Classes cant be "too hard", just too gay.

In my final year of chemical engineering. I'm going to an elite uni (Top 5 globally in terms of engineering & chem) and I can recommend it if you enjoy everything from total synthesis in organic chem to reaction kinetics etc.

It isn't too math-heavy surprisingly however, well at least for me it didn't seem like it.

Are you retarded? Just go do your post-grad studies like everyone and try to stay sane.

If you want advice, here it is : follow the usual ethical guidelines, question yourself and what you think you know, stay humble, treat patients and co-workers respectfully, learn to act with authority when needed but don't let it go to your head.

If your goal is to copy-cat someone else then just take the time to know your superiors. Many will be asses but you'll eventually run into someone worthy of respect.
