I don't care how much of a bullshit optimist you are. There's only so much mental gymnastics you can do to find a silver lining in constant rejection. Some people's capacity for it is greater than others, but everyone reaches a point where they just don't want to feel bad about themselves anymore.

I was on the market for 6 months after grad school and living with my parents as a 28 year old man. It sucked, and I was still luckier than most of my classmates who were on the market for upwards of a year.

The more important thing is to just keep applying and networking despite how hopeless it all seems. The only thing that's going to change the situation is putting yourself out there, even when you aren't necessarily feeling positive. If it gets really bad, step away from the process for a few days to recharge the batteries a little bit, but then get right back to it.

So failure is not really a possibility if you force yourself to apply for jobs like a madman.

I'm not a lawyer but here's my reo cents anyway. The "here hold my shit" could work but is unnecessary. Pre-marital assets are all yours as long as you don't change anything about it with money made after you get married. Your house is yours, your car is yours. Refinancing your home could jeopardize that. Any money you have prior to marriage you should set aside in a separate account but you can not touch it. It can gain interest but the moment you add to the account money you earned while being married turns that account into a marital asset. Don't let your wife become a stay at home mom or "trophy wife" to help avoid having to pay alimony. Doesn't matter if you make more than her. All marital assets you sell off to your buddy for pennies will be seen as trying to screw your soon to be ex wife out of it. How are you going to make sure your spouse wont find out you were hiding assets and how are you going to prevent your trusted friend to not do something with it?

If you are going to do this you might aswell get a prenuptial agreement or just don't get married.
