Is the afterlife truly what holy books/scriptures make it out to be or can it be anything you'd want it to be?

No. You die. Your bodily organs fail you, your heart stops beating, and your consciousness ceases to exist. There is nothing more. All concepts of life after death, in all forms, come from creative responses to the human brain's inability to conceive of it's own non-existance. You will die. End of story. Game over. All atoms will lose energy, all motion slows, all light will fade. Just accept your fate with dignity, because nothing will ever change the end we all march to. Death is the end. Accept it.

you have to create some sort of brain scanner that can project someone's inner mind scenery/thoughts. then you have to use it on someone on the brink of death . maybe then you d get a glimpse of the afterlife

Legendary Lost Roman City of Ucetia Found

Archaeologists have unearthed part of an ancient Roman city in southern France, known as Ucetia. To date, the settlement had only be known by name, and this is the first time that some of its impressive features have come to light.

The excavations began in October 2016 at the request of the French state, after local authorities bought land near the modern-day city of Uzes to build a boarding school and a canteen. A team led by Philippe Cayn from the French National Institute for Preventive Archaeological Research excavated the 4,000m sq site, to make sure construction works wouldn't destroy any major artefacts. In the process, the researchers shed a light on the mysterious past of the Roman city of Ucetia.

"Prior to our work, we knew that there had been a Roman city called Ucetia only because its name was mentioned on stela in Nimes, alongside 11 other names of Roman towns in the area. It was probably a secondary town, under the authority of Nimes. No artefacts had been recovered except for a few isolated fragments of mosaic," said Cayn.

The archaeologists found that the site had been occupied from the 1st century BC to the 7th century AD, with an interruption in the 3rd and 4th century which they haven't been able to explain. They also identified building remains from the Middle Ages, although these were more rare. The team discovered a large wall and many structures dating to just before the Roman conquest. This includes a room where a bread oven was set up, and later replaced with a dolium – an enormous ceramic container.

The Man Who Brought the Swastika to Germany

When archaeologist Heinrich Schliemann traveled to Ithaca, Greece in 1868, one goal was foremost in his mind: discovering the ancient city of Troy using Homer’s Iliad. The epic poem was widely believed to be no more than a myth, but Schliemann was convinced otherwise. For him, it was a map to the hidden location of ancient cities.

Over the next several years the German businessman, who made his fortune in trading raw materials for ammunition production, tramped around the Mediterranean. Schliemann took Homer’s advice on everything from local customs to treating physical maladies. Trained at the Sorbonne, he used Homer’s verses to identify what he thought were the epic’s real-world locations. “One of his greatest strengths is that he had a genuine historical interest. What he wanted was to uncover the Homeric world, to know whether it existed, whether the Trojan war happened,” writes classics scholar D.F. Easton. “But here also is a weakness. He was not very good at separating fact from interpretation.”

It wasn’t until 1871 that Schliemann achieved his dream. The discovery catapulted him to fame, and with his fame came a burst of interest in all that he uncovered. The intrepid archaeologist found his Homeric city, but he also found something else: the swastika, a symbol that would be manipulated to shape world history.

To answer the question asked by the video, yes, AI exists. It has for some time. Any neural net based learning program is AI. With current computer limitations the best we can do is simulate brainstem functionality of simple organisms in real time.

Hello /x/.

So /his/ has not been any help to me and you lot seem like the only other bunch that would be knowledgeable on the subject I'm interested in.

I was listening to 'History of Rome' podcast recently.
And the during an episode on Julian 'the apostate', there is a brief discussion on some of the religious reforms he had planned.
Unfortunately, the podcast failed to go into much detail.

I find the idea of a centralized Hellenic religion, organized around a Neoplatonic view of the universe very interesting.
Unfortunately, I have failed to locate any sources that give much detail on what Julian had planned.

While I know this is abit of a shot in the dark.
I would greatly appreciate if anyone here would be able to provide me with some detail on this topic.

Ghosts do not exist, there's entitys impersonating deceased individual by using the energy left behind in a certain place, then they use it to abuse the people that have some sort of connection to said energy. But is never the actual spirit or soul or whatever from the original person that left that impression there.

you know all ideas on what our core is made of are but theories right, we cant even make it through the crust, your proof is no better than flat earths, and i believe earth is some spherical/egg shaped rock, but you can't use unprovable theories as proof, even if they are generally accepted, and only unprovable due to our lack of tech.
i'll tell you now, even going off a solid model, it is highly unlikely we have a molten iron core, its just not logical, compass should be drawn to the molten center and not the geomagnetic poles due to what should be a much more powerful magnetic field coming from our ferrous core

That's not how magnets work. Magnets (and compasses, wow) align with the local magnetic field. If you still insist this is wrong, please draw what you think the magnetic field of the core looks like.

I'm not sure if I consider myself a skeptic, but I been reading a lot regarding conspiracies, NWO, reptilian shit, you know all that stuff.

But one thing concerns me, I can't accept any of that elite secret government stuff, and aliens breeding humans and enslaving them, until someone explains to me why they would allow the internet to exist. If they really wanted to keep control of the population and information to be secret, why would they let all the plebs to access and share their secret agendas, they were to stupid to think people would divulge whatever they know? The trading of information is out of control, if they want control, allowing this medium to exist is preposterous.

Unless... there's some sort of future plan that requires the internet to enslave people even more, and still it would be incredibly sloppy to let it exist. Or they're so amazingly sure that there's nothing that can stop them and they're just taunting us before the grand finale.
>>
>>18875088
>The trading of information is out of control

It doesn't really matter how much information is out there or who has access to it. Information asymmetry describes any situation where one party in a business deal is at a decided informational disadvantage. The informed parties rarely spend much effort fixing this problem, as the most common result is a solid reaming for the involved ignoramus.

>some sort of future plan that requires the internet to enslave people even more

A buddy of mine that lives in Austin Tx, swears there is a large snake or fish that pulls people under water never to be seen again. I didn't really think much about it until I did a little research..

-Lake Travis is the deepest lake in Texas
-Lake Travis has the highest amount of fatalities of any lake in Texas
-Reports of large snakes since 2003
-Many bodies never found even tho most bodies float after a few days
