Sup /vr/!
Does anybody have that ISO and could share it?
I just find the updates, but not the original.
I know that if nobody here can find it, it just doesnt exist anymore, so im counting on you!!
This was AD&D 2ed. right?
How interactive was that atlas?
I found this interesting so bump and good luck.
>>3002262

Here's some video about:

I have a lot of old AD&D files, but not that one. The closest thing might be this 29 MB compilation of all the rules:
The Complete Advanced Dungeons & Dragons 2nd Edition Archive.pdf
I think it came off a CDROM, maybe even that one. Not sure though, anyway I stopped playing right before the revised "black" cover 2nd editon books came out, so I'm not familiar with all these later supplements.
Anyway this file is just the text, they ripped out all the nice illustrations for some reason.
So Steam has something going on, I'm not really paying attention to it, but you can get a free copy of Jet Set Radio and Golden Axe through Steam right now. Google Make Love Not War Steam or something like that.
Not really sure why no one else has posted about this yet.
Just search for Jet Set Radio and scroll down. Package deal is there for download.
>>3001614
sweet, thanks
>>3001614
Because asshurt jannies keep deleting everything related to Dreamcast and Steam.
Was he a tragic hero?
daikitana was pretty bad but i wouldn't call it tragic
>>3001605
I'd say Romero's hair is even crazier.
He got no respect from his peers, that's for sure. I remember Yoshiki Okamoto and Shigeru Miyamoto both dissed him at different points.
Do you guys think the Sega Saturn's anime form was based on Sailor Saturn?
>>3001584
Not really. Hotaru's distinctive qualities are her hair and that she's especially skinny and short.
>>3001590
Just looked up if there were any SM games on the Saturn and apparently the Sega game is the only time you see Hotaru transform.
It doesn't make sense to make female anthromophisms of consoles.
Femlaes don't even play games.
They should really be boys.
Greatest game of all time, and its not even close.
That's a big statement to make. There are so many that I could play over and over and not get tired of them. Earthworm Jim 2, Comix Zone, Gunstar Heroes, all the God of War series.
>>3001565
>all the God of War series
That post went into the shitpit pretty quick there.
Stick to /v/, champ. Keep your qte fest there.
>>3001558
It's arguably the best JRPG, but JRPGs barely qualify as games. You might as well skip all the filler and just read a VN.
What is the cheapest way to get into Universal Game Cases?
Is there any website other than thecoverproject that has a good depository of covers? It seems like some of the premium websites that have a case with the insert art ready have more of a selection of covers, especially in the case of N64 boxes which can get a bit inconsistent for customs, which I really need more than anything else.
>What is the cheapest way to get into Universal Game Cases?
Don't buy them? Nothing says bandwagon collector like those ugly things.
The only carts I would even consider getting third party cases for are my Neo Geo MVS carts since they look like ass, and even then I haven't taken the plunge.
Here's an idea---take that 5 bucks per case you would spend, and invest it in games instead.
>>3001428
>The cover project
Is literally the resource to use for UGC.
It's cheaper to buy in bulk from mediashelving or something.
At the same time, a lot of people are making cases that are tailored to fit specific carts and have more utility, like slots for manuals and such.
Customgamecases.com has UGC and GB/GBA cases, and some new NES style cases. I think Stoneagegamer or something similar had custom SNES snapcases.
I own them, and honestly I wouldn't recommend it. They take up a huge amount of space and you're absolutely tied to them for any future purchases. I did it for my current games, and now I have to keep making them or buying them because theres no way I'm doing half/half.
Its definitely something you need to be sure about. I think they look good and I do enjoy them, but they can get expensive, especially if you buy some cheap ass games.
Why was KKnD 2 not successful?
KKND was brilliant. Guess the sequel didn't innovate enough?
>>3001805
A new faction, more refined graphics, the prototype system, amphibic units, controlable airplanes, alternative energy sources,... I really can't see where it innovated not enough.
I guess it was some management or marketing failure.
>>3002316
All factions have almost exactly the same unit line up, with just a few differences, balance is non existant, especially if you look at infantry, everything that isn't grenadiers is not worth purchasing as it's waste of money and lastly accuracy as an RNG riddled component of combat is annoying as hell. It has some charm behind it, but overall the game feels like it was rushed.
Haven't had one in a while.
Do you usually give Lenneth a sword or a bow?
Favorite party pre/post Seraphic Gate?
Favorite dungeon?
Would you profile a valkyrie? Also, isn't there some indie-kickstarter game that's supposed to be kind of similar to VP? What ever happened with that?
>>3001291
I think the indie you're talking about is Indivisible, which got funded successfully. It's billed to be Super Metroid with Valkyrie Profile combat.
>>3001314
Yup, you're right. That's the one I was talking about.
Hopefully it's good.
Bow always seems to work out better for me up until the Post-Game... heck, most Archers in VP1 are kinda terrible so Lenneth is going to be the only person who can use any good bows you pick up by default
Do we have a tier list/ chart/ something like that for the best games for ps1?
No, we actually form our own opinions here, much to the chagrin of people like you who prefer to repeat what others tell them in order to feel like they're fitting in.
>>3000938
The fact is that i planned to buy a used ps1 and i wanted an advice for the games.
Sorry for the misunderstanding.
>>3000942
Just ask what genres you like or what's recommended.
I put it to you that the brief window in time when 16 bit CD addons were state of the art and recieving plentiful games was an unrecognized golden age for gaming.
I hear you pointing out the awful FMV based games for Sega CD, but if you look past those, there were some shining gems for the system that really leveraged the strengths of the format properly, like the Misadventures of Flink, Popful Mail and Soul Star.
PC Engine CD escaped the FMV craze by not being powerful enough for it. Instead we got far superior and still lovely looking pixel art based animated cutscenes like those seen in the intro to Rondo of Blood or Lords of Thunder. These were a superb treat for the eyes and (thanks to CD quality audio) the ears as well.
CD based 16 bit console gaming had all the pixel art appeal of that generation but the CD audio overcame the limitations of the sound chip and the CD storage space overcame the limitations of cartridges with respect to unique environmental artwork, animations, etc.
It truly was a treat for those who appreciated what it brought to the table and were discerning enough to let the tidal wave of FMV sewage pass them by.

You can't beat the soundtrack either

mario 1 physics is borked
sound is kind of bad
>>3000613
>mario 1 physics is borked
You mean it isn't faithful to the NES version? Or that both games have the same irritating physics?
>>3000630
it isint faithful to the nes version, when breaking a block the jump follows through after the brick is broken
>see this
>realize that sega channel used its own power supply too
Where does it end? A genny with the CD and 32X already have three big wall warts, add Sega Channel and you have four of the damn things. Is there yet more? Do the Karaoke unit or some other add-on use their own power supply too? Does any other system come close to having so many power supplies?
>>3000475
>not owning a first party sega power strip
>>3000475
Just buy one of these.
Great purchase since most consoles from the early gen had the bulky external power supplies.
>>3000487
I like how they say 'or' at the end, to remind you that even the official Sega power strip couldn't power all of those devices plus your TV and stereo
>starts DQ 1
>thinks it will be so much fun like FF1
>It's literally trash and I can't stand it after 5 minutes
Tell me DQ 1 is good enough.
>>3000248
You should try Phantasy Star 1. FF1 really isn't a very good game either, but as you discovered that's all it takes to be worlds better than Dragon Quest.
Phantasy Star blows them both out of the water. Go now, don't waste more time on DQ.
>>3000274
dq2 is a little too open I think
Is this game perfect?
>>3000005
I think it is. If only you'd posted this a few seconds sooner, then so would have been the get.
surely we've never had this discussion before
>>3000008
Damn, would have been fucking stellar
And yeah, I genuinely can't think of a single flaw with this game
People bring up how annoying the crying is, but I'm willing to excuse that since it's a punishment.
How does /vr/ display or store their collection?
My new set up is pic related. Works well for my relatively decent collection I have going. I'm considering screwing the alphabetical order crap and just doing a most played/best games thing. Having shit like BTTF on NES and Bob the Builder on PS1 at the top of my stacks is kind of dumb. How would you guys reccomend sorting them?
>>2999132
Absolutely not like that. That pussy repellent will have your shit covered in dust, yellowed and faded in almost no time. Keep your precious in a cool dark cave where potential mates won't see it.
>>2999312
Any woman who would act like that is not worth having in your life. What are you going to do, hide your favorite hobby and do it in secret for the entire time you are courting this woman? Not worth it. There are plenty of women who are either into, or do not mind/care about retro video games. Enter a relationship with these women, not the kind of women who hate your hobbies, and wish you would stop enjoying them.
>>2999312
>tfw I have my collection stashed in a room with one window, always shut with curtains drawn
>tfw gf opens window when I'm not around
>what's the big deal anon I just wanted to let some sunlight in
