Hey, the drugs he's on mispronouncing the odd word here and there is pretty much a given.

What is the hardest threat a Spec Ops could take out in fantasy land?

Let's say operators have a 15 man team with any personal weapons they bring with them an armored vehicle. No other support.

Dragon would probably be too much, while knights too easy.

Rust monsters? Basilisk? Others? Both scenarios in which team have the element of surprise on their side and the other way around.

Nice job playing texas sharpshooter. Now it's my turn.

Okay let's see
>Stormcast Eternals and mortal warriors fight side by side
>Sigmar must use every loyal warrior he can muster

>Devoted fight bitterly to secure sites of divine power, often with the aid of the Stormcast Eternals
Who's the 'auxiliary' now?

>Welcome the aid of Sigmar's chosen, but have staunch warriors of their own that march to their defence and that of their allies.
We're a strong independent freeguild who don't need no stormcast *sassy finger wave*

>stout Dispossesed duardin form shield walls next to sigmarite clad Liberators
>next to
standing behind Stormcasts? Stop drinking gold paint and learn basic english.
'Next to' means next to. Not behind. Next to. Adjacent; proximate; alongside; abreast of; beside. They're not standing behind them whatsoever.

>Greatswords-wielding city guard are regiments that have faced the tribes of chaos and emerged victorious
I'm sorry? I though the SC were doing all the fighting . .

>Generals on griffons with demigryph retinue
They sound pretty competent on their own
>>
Realms of Light and Shadow. Who else is looking forward to finding out what happens there?
>>
I'm confused by the cover of the seraphon battletome. The weapon held has lightning cracking on it, but seraphon weapons are generally sun-themed, not lightning themed like SC are.

I'm running a semi-hard sci-fi campaign. Up until now, my players have been filling the role of galactic mercenaries, in the vein of Military Sans Frontières. More and more they've been working with what amounts to the CIA, and in doing so they're going to learn a few things that civilians aren't privy to.

Which leads me to the problem I'm having. How in the hell do I implement eldritch horrors into this kind of setting and continue playing by the rules? All I've decided is that they come from dark space.

>>
It's your setting OP, you decide what the rules are. Hell, if you make it weird and not what the players would expect in terms of how the world works, that might wind up as a good surprise.

Seriously though, what are your rules?

Gee OP I dunno may just accept that you aren't doing hard scifi and then your life will be easier?

I've seen/heard of people taking softcover rulebooks and converting them into ringbinded rulebooks. Do you guys know of any guides on how to do it? Maybe my googlefu is just shitty today, but I couldn't find any. I just bought a 20 year old rulebook from eBay and it needs to be rebinded.

Most of the people I know of who own ring-binded books have free access to the equipment needed to ring-bind books.

I've tried getting 24 papers laminated at office depot and it was going to cost me something like $50-$60. I can't imagine going somewhere to get a book ring-bound is going to be cost-effective.

sit down to play with dood.
me: you competitive or casual
dood: casual.

dood wips out azami mono counterspell deck.
guys

game two?

I pull out my better deck and he taps out turn 3.
me: Armageddon
we both have some rocks so no biggie.
dood proceeds to not draw lands for the next ten turns as I slow roll braking his lands as he plays them and destroying his rocks as they come in to play. he manages 3 lands and casts high tide, in response I destroy one of his islands.
he mutters something a bout LD not letting him play spells. I point out his deck is basically counterspell.deck

he becomes a pile of salt.

hey /tg/, i'm in a bit of a predicament

the owner of my local comic shop wants me to assemble, prime, and paint the death guard half of the dark imperium box we split. Here's the problem, i don't know what to charge him, and i don't think i'm good enough to do this for money (pic related, it's my most recent model, sorry for camera orientation)

any advice?

try to paint one normal infantry miniature then one hero. Time yourself while painting and charge him whatever the minimum hourly wage in your state.

The stereotypical way is that they are big, strong, violent, brave in packs but cowardly solo, so they tend to break and run when they are losing. Nasty, carnivorous, slave takers and man eaters, but organized better than one might expect and with a strong loyalty to their pack. Basically Fallout Raiders, usually badly equipped but numerous.

Honest question I'm not trying to shitpost. The Sautekh Dynasty surrounds nearly 3/4 of the Empire's borders. Ultramar and the Death Guard mini empire to the south of the T'au. The Hadex Anomaly to the east for the rest of Chaos to attack them. Also isn't there an Ork empire somewhere in the Charadon Sector? Put aside "Player Faction Plot Armor" for a second when answering. Again not trying to troll but I think GW fucked the T'au with the new fluff and map. No doubt some parts of /tg/ are ecstatic about this.

They won't. No one will. That's the point.
>>
>>54275824
The Tau defeated them all and conquered a swathe of the east.

The Sautekh Necrons are busy with the Absorption Wars. Ultramar is busy with the Death Guard. The Tyranids are just recovering from their recent defeats. Charadon Orks were defeated by Ultramar.

The Tau have no one to stop them.
>>
>>54275824

Plot armor. They shouldn't have even survived the first sphere of expansion, let alone the third and damocles.

There's a competitive D&D game I'm interested in at my local games store. I usually just make fun characters to play so I'm not great at making something powerful. Anyone got any ideas for something following these rules? 5e btw

>>
>>54275130
it's just a one-off for fun. I rarely get to make new characters and it's a big battle royale so I wanna go.
>>
If all you're doing is killing other PCs at 5th level my first guesses without thinking it through too hard would be Rogue, Paladin or Druid.
Depending on how the fights work since swashbuckler is off the table rogue might be kind of mediocre though since it could be hard to get any sneak attacks
Paladin just sort of generally good while having the most ability to kill shit quickly while expending all its resources
And druid because of wildshape
