Je'She posed an interesting question that I feel should be answered here.

On Ullanor, the campaign in split into four prongs (these are up for debate as well):
>Marduk - air cav, void combat, essentially assault specializing in space
- Soaring Host (allows for Elsu to get to know Marduk more and eventually fall to Chaos, as well as their tactics complimenting the Leviathan Host)
- Ogre Legion (someone has to be infantry)
- Forge Lords
- Loxodontii (provides heavy armour as well as a possible opportunity for the legion to further indulge in chaos under the influence of Marduk and his legion

> Je'She - Defense and focus on civilian protection
- Steel Souls (psychic specialty)
- Dusk Phantoms (reactionary warfare coupled with static defense is good)
- Pale Hounds
- Symphonious Disciples

> Frederick - fast assault
- Ussaran Liberators (could allow for the relationship between Frederick and Piter to develop)
- Iron Guard
- Death's Heads

> Emperor
- Titan Marchers (or at least some forces since Raj finds Kane with the Emperor)
- Gunslingers (for story reasons)
- Golden Mountains perhaps?
- Silver Swords (for story reasons)

Not sure where the Knights Stellaris and the Smoke Stalkers would go.

Now, the question posed by Je'She was: "What happens to the Emperor's front after his incapacitation?"
The campaign still goes on for quite a while, so something will have to be decided on. The options I see are:
1. The Emperor's front is dissolved and the other three prongs pick up the slack
2. Another Primarch is assigned temporarily

Which one sounds better? If we pick the second option, the question obviously becomes: "Who?"

I'm not entirely sure the Emperor's front would be able to hold together without him. Especially if the Golden Mountains are there, seeing as their immediate reaction to the Emperor's injury is to go a little crazy and start slaughtering orks. If that was the case I feel like the front would fall apart not long after, with individual legions doing what they think needs to be done until one of the warmasters (possibly Je'She) steps in and distributes them to the other fronts

PF is way too much crunch for beginners.

Use a simple system like Risus to get them to understand the importance of ranks and dice rolling. After a few months they may want to increase the complexity of their character and then you can slowly ease them into PF.

What's the best way to handle a short and aggressive settlement assault in terms of mechanics?

Essentially I built a lot of the campaign in advance (skeleton framework for building as we go). I put in a small sidequest where players would deal with an orc settlement that keeps raiding everyone, but then one of the leading players made a half-orc whose main thing is that he wants to help orcs become free and independent, so now they're defending the orcs. It's good fun.

But now the humans are going to launch an attack on the orcs to wipe them out, and the party will be involved in preparations and then defending during the siege itself. There are only about 50 orcs and the humans will have to come up a narrow cliff pass a few at a time, so it's just about plausible that I could use normal combat rules, but it could take a while and get a bit slow.

Is the Mass Combat UA worth looking at or is there a better way to do this?

Taking 1 level of Mystic just for Soul Knife so I don't have to use a Rapier as the only fucking good finesse weapon.

That vampire card game based off WoD was pretty wizardish at times, but most of the cards were about social combat, vampire abilities or just straight up bashing someone into bloody pulp with vampiric strength.

It's really not THAT bad and with a just a couple of mods to things like spell casting which are tiny you can improve that side of the game a lot.

Personally I agree with the OP that right from second zero she's trying to murder her classmates she is 100% chaotic stupid and I relish killing her every single time. Even when I play evil.

I would forgo the story and just make it more of a classic dungeon crawl experience with heavily punishing and/or tactical combat with a high variety in encounters leading up to interesting boss rooms which may or may not have any connection to why the player is here.
Have the rooms and spaces be interconnected, often return back into a previous room or area and focus on small but detailed areas rather then big and spacious ones.
Instead of a multitude of NPCs I'd create a fistful of returning ones that seem to appear out of nowhere and have their own agendas in this place.

To start off the story and setting, I would most likely throw the players in some sort of capsules or escape pods and have them crash into a old abandoned testing facility's tavern after their spaceship goes to shit by unknown reasons. There they quickly notice that it is not what it seems and quickly turns into a deathmarch in search of a way to get off the planet as soon as possible.

That technological rapture-event happened, only that AIs were neither niggers nore human - they generally just plain don't give a fuck any more and the majority don't bother to stick around either.

So now we're dealing with a Roadside Picknick-type situation (rummaging through ascended AI trash and navigating enviroments deformed by AI doing whatever they're doing) mashed up with people trying to go cyborg for various reasons and failing in various unexpected ways.

They shove the corpses in a closet and go find a doctor to patch up the sniper. They come upon a shady looking building with a neglected sign with a red cross on it. The doctor is sketchy as hell and looks like he rarely cleans his tools. And then he executed his surgery flawlessly and the sniper barely felt any pain. After that they get some info on a gang that may be selling the xenos artifacts operating out of a shitty bar called the Screaming wheel. On their way to the bar they are ambushed by members of the gangster they killed earlier. Their leader approaches Renaldo and says "Are you the one that killed one of my boys?" Renadlo replied "So what if I am." and made a sleight of hand check to pull the pin on a grenade and toss it in front of him. Then won initiative and cleaved the gang leader into pieces. They arrive at the screaming wheel to see 3 gangsters clad in gaudy armor and wearing masks extorting a manufactorum worker. He sits there on his knees begging for his life as the gangers laugh at him. As the party approaches his knee explodes from a stubber round. Renado approaches him and says "Don't kill, you're wasting the emperors resources." The gang leader replies "Waste?! Hahahahaha, this man is nothing but waste!" And shoots the worker in the head. Renaldo moon attacks the man "On account of him being an evil douche bag." The leader drew his eviscerator and parried renado moon while the other 2 gangsters engaged the rest of the party. This was a sight the bargoers knew well and they ducked under whatever cover avalible. The leader was able to hold his own VS Renaldo Moon but his friends were shot down by the sniper and investigator. The leader decided to book it and fled from the scene but Renaldo Moon was faster and tackled him.

Renaldo Moons arm flinched and he lost control of his chainsword and cleaved the interrogators head off. Showering the gangster and the party in blood. Laughter and cries of "YOU TEAMKILLING FUCKTARD." filled the room. The gangster used this opportunity to slip out of his bindings and draw the investigators warhammer and struck Renaldo moon in the leg. The rest of the party flees and Renaldo cuts down the ganger with his blood stained chainsword. The rest of the party tells the interrogator who in turn calls opun the arbites to capture him if possible. Renaldo Moon, injured and soaked in his allies blood, his enemies blood and his own blood, surrenders. The interrogator interrogates him and ships him off to a penal legion as punishment
