Depends on what you find dogshit about it.
It could be the style of game, site-based adventures/exploration, a world that is bigger than your PC, is not to your taste. In which case, probably not.
It could also be that your GM is just not running it very well, and doing something that personally makes you feel like it isn't very fun but it is actually fixable.It could also be that you are just baiting
Without further details I can't really answer your question beyond a "Yes, some people have enjoyed it and had fun with that type of game, so it is probably possible"

This has been a problem as long as D&D has had 0 hit points not be instant death.
In 3.5e you die if you take just 10 points of damage past 0, but any healing above 0 puts you back at normal capacity.
In 4e you make the same death saving throws but it still had negative hit points, but you are still back to full capacity.
People are always nervous about implementing death spiral stuff from other systems into D&D, and for good reason.

Found our groups That Guy. Its not me but a Human Fighter that mentins Khrone and makes strange comments and noises.. also wants to hit things and burn stuff down.
also made racist jokes at the last session ( wevehad 3 so far not counting session 0) until after three sessions in the DM told him to stop it. And then he lost 2 points of strength froma ghost and sulked for the rest of the adventure. Were doing an Adventure Path in hopes of joining the Pathfinders Association ( my characters goal)

Hi /tg/lads,
I want to play warhammer (40k) because the lore is very interesting and the tactical combat side of things is very appealing, but I feel like painting and learning the rules are just long and tedious processes that I wouldn't be good at.
Am I missing out? Is it worth it?

Rules are honestly pretty straightforward
Paining can be tedious if you don't enjoy it, maybe get a small number of test models and see how you go.
One option is perhaps looking at smaller model-count games that are played at your local stores or clubs.
Malifaux and Infinity are pretty great, and only need a dozen miniatures to play.
Another think to consider is asking if someone can run you through a demo game to see if you'll enjoy it.
