Infinity is a 28mm scale futuristic skirmish game by Corvus Belli where heroes of the past come to life. Sort of.

>Also exclusive fat men.
I don't even care anymore.
I went to a tournament yesterday and everyone was real nice and friendly. This game's got a much nicer competitive atmosphere than some games I've played.
Who was in the wrong here?
>>54364617
The Admech for having such shit defenses on their Forgeworld.
Leandros. He should have kept the matter internal to the Chapter, Titus could have been tested by Chaplins, Librarius and Ad Mech on Ultramar.
If you suspect there could be an issue with a member of your Squad or company you don't call the fucking Inquisition to have him dragged off in chains likely to never return. (even if found "innocent")
Hopefully Leandros was banished by the Chapter.
Titus for not giving her the geneseed
So I'm thinking about starting a campaign set in a school akin to X-Men's Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters; basically a campaign where players are teenage heros. The game will pretty much be high school drama interjected with dueling tournaments, basically X-Men meets Harry Potter's Triwizard Tournament. What system would make this possible elegantly? Mutants and Masterminds seems to have a good power system, but it has stuff like vehicles and headquarters as integral rules that both don't really fit the setting that well. I don't have the money to buy the rules upfront before knowing what's in them. Suggestions?
I'm actually currently trying to DM a campaign in pretty much the exact same setting as you, except it's for the series Boku no hero academia instead of X-men. So far mutants and masterminds is pretty much the only system that allows for the full scope of the weird powers to come into play.
>>54359375
Sounds promising. Have you had issues with stuff like vehicles/locale rules/secret bases and such? As I said, I haven't gotten hold of the rules, so I don't know how much of a problem it is.
I can always do house ruling, but I just finished creating a GURPS setting, so I'm kinda exhausted by that lol.
>>54358955
>No money to buy the books
Where do you think we are? Go grab the pdfs, you can find em here and give em a look and then buy them later if they're what your looking for. It ain't rocket science.
Why are space stations so underused as main settings? It's always starships and planets, and why stations do appear in many works, the only times where they're the whole point of the story are B5, DS9, and Downbelow Station.
>>54401015
Because a station is fragile. And it's made of a lot of parts that are hard to bullshit the positions of if you're trying to be serious about it. Any one of which if they fail basically just ends the setting.
>deep space 9
>>54401317
He mentioned it. And it's the best. But it also benefited from Star Trek BULLSHIT magi-tech allowing it to exist.

If you were to play a Hamtaro RPG, which character would you pick?
>>54397368
I would like to create my own fucking hamster, what's wrong with you, OP?
>>54397368
the show was actually pretty inaccurate when it came to hamsters but played into childrens' fantasies about what their pets did during the day.
My sister wanted a hamster after watching the cartoon. It slept all day and then spent all night running on it's wheel, pausing only to eat or drink. It seemed pretty content with that life but didn't live too long.
>>54397467
The show basically ran on Toy Story logic. I understand childhood expectations can be all over the place, but I don't think it's a very good criticism of Hamtaro

I think it's gay that Failbaddon is still around.
As a Fantasyfag, it pleases me greatly that 40kids are suffering what we did. Also I like that Eldar with the backfur.
>>54395030
I don't like the combat phase's gamey replacement for initiative.
I do like the ability to escape melee.
>>54395030
i like the keyword system, it straight improved the game
i dislike that vehicles also suffer when moving

No but I can feel it this time. Fewer and Fewer apps get submitted. It can't be long now.
>>54394914
The dawn may not come, our sun set forever. But until we know the truth of this, let us dance the dance of the high-powered apps, one last time!
The worm entity duo detect warpstuff in the 40k galaxy and are drawn to study and apply this never before seen phenomenon in the hopes of finding a counter to entropy.
They arrive from the opposite direction of the tyranids.
What happens?
>>54389498
They get corrupted by Chaos almost immediately, because Zion and Eden are absolute shit at dealing with mental infections and subversion. That's how they both died. Eden from being unable to resist playing with the new shiny that Abbadon gave her and being so distracted she crashed face-first into a planet, and Zion from being unable to keep the human-emulation program he was running from overwhelming his decision making and letting it amplify his depression to the point he curled up in the fetal position and waited for death.
>>54389611
This seems likely. Any Parahumans that do emerge are probably judged as witches or psykers unless they're in service to the Emperor when triggered, and if they don't display an "evil" power. Taylor, probably most of the Undersiders get blammed, due to their powers seeming too dark, but Alexandria and the like are considered heroic as in Worm due to being superhuman with no obvious psychic powers and not visibly mutated.
Alternatively, those characters with sinister powers (the Skitters and Grues of the world) get inducted into Inquisition forces if they're lucky and are not blammed, but a close eye is kept on them because in the Imperium's eyes, they're probably tainted.
This thread is absolute cancer, and it's barely started.
Hey /tg/. I'm currently developing a war game similar to 40k/warmahordes. Our plan is to get everything ready to put up on Kickstarter and then after the campaign sell straight to consumer via our website. Things are still being built and balanced and I figured while we were still in this stage I would get a few ideas from the community. What are some things you guys love about the genre? Some things you hate? Anything helps, thanks!
For me, strict unit formation rules and fleeing after half+ squad is wiped just break the flow of the game. Units being their own thing and getting additional benefits for being in formation is the way it should be.

People who field unpainted miniatures
>>54387199
>>54387233
I hate that miniature gaming has become the face of tabletop wargaming. They're always half about making a good game, and half about painting your models. If you enjoy that, well and good, but I've found that hex and chit games as actual games are often enormously better designed. And getting people to play them, especially miniatures gamers, is like pulling teeth.
That is one of the most depressing images of a tabletop wargame I have ever seen. Up there with this abomination on the 40k wiki page. Paint your dudes guys, it's easier than ever.
Come to /awg/ anyway mate, plenty of homebrew stuff there.
