Most Noble Senate, Representatives of the Peoples of Earth, Servants of the Emperor, your humble spreadsheet monkey bids you greeting once again.
We captured a pair of deviants attempting to steal important military secrets (see pic). One appears to have modified himself to have pointed ears and green blood. They have been dealt with as befits all traitors to our Glorious Empire: with gleeful stabbing.
The records of our previous session can be found here: >>43779943 . I believe our archivist is also maintaining long term records in the "sup/tg/" Imperial Codex archives.
When last we met, agreement was reached on ship designs and research priorities. I tasked the Murcurinius Gulf Naval Shipyard with the construction of the new Decius class Gravitational Survey Vessels, and the Capriarius Marine Naval Shipyard with the construction of the new Scipio class Geological Survey Vessels. Each has three slipways, so we can construct a significant number of our new vessels at a time.
The desired single Turret Tracking lab could not be managed as we have such a restricted number of Leading Scientists. The Senate has already outlined its plan to deal with the deficiency of creative philosophy, and in time this should become less of a problem.
>>43815149
Glorious Imperial Senate, I am pleased to present my report.
In February, one of our administrators developed a health problem. Although he was not currently assigned, this reduces our pool of potential mining colony governors.
In March, our expert designer Appius Tertinius Soulinius completed our Commercial Engine. I thereby commissioned the Cicero class Freighter, the Trajan class Colony Ship, and the Gaius Marius class Oiler, and set our shipyards to begin building a pair of Oilers and a Freighter. With the exception of Murena Naval which continues its expansion, we are now operating at full shipyard production capacity.
Later that month, our esteemed Terran Governor and friend of the Senate Servius Avitus Cato underwent routine retesting and was found to have increased his administrative skills even further. Rumours that he may have bribed the examinarii with promises of lucrative public education contracts are of course scurrilous and nothing with which the Senate should concern itself.
It is now August of 1757 IVC. Dominus Spurius has concluded his research into Construction Rate enhancement plans and we have put them into operation throughout the Empire. One laboratory continues research into Turret Tracking Speed; the others await your command.
Our survey ships stand at 78.1% complete.
(The next research priority has not been made clear so I'm leaving it open to the floor. I'd prefer not to list every single available advancement; if you give the Senate Monkey an idea of what you want either I'll flesh it out or one of our resident Aurorabods will.
Some example possibilities include maxing out the turret tracking tech and beginning work on researching a turret design using our rather OK lasers, or beginning work into better missiles. Working towards Ion Engines by starting research Gas-Cooled Fast Reactor tech would be a good idea too, long term. But there are lots and lots and lots of other good options too.)
As a general research priority, I propose working on missile technology- reload speed specifically, so that antimissile launchers become viable at all.
Also dangit monkey get a twitter or something.

You guys think Valdor will be able to stand up to Sigismund in a challenge? Would you prefer for Custodes to be agents of the emperor or be their own army list? Personally I'd prefer if they worked as agents and for Sisters of Silence to have an army list.
Who here actually has an established Heresy group they play with? My group is about a dozen or so players. Half have several 3000 point armies while the rest are growing slowly with ZM armies. Playing a group game this weekend where half the players are brining 3k points while the rest fight on a ZM board and are able to call down orbital strikes onto the main table.
Quick question. I got the cards here on eBay and I'm wanting a Second opinion. Do they seem fake? Two of them being two different colors seems off to me.

Mage GenCon 2016 or Bust
What would a Promethean created as a result of a Changeling becoming a conduit for the Divine Fire be like?
So last thread we got some Post-Apoc Vamp Bloodlines
>The Geigers
Vampires who can only feed on those with radiation poisoning, and in exchange get a Discipline based on being a RADS monster. This bloodline of Nosferatu eventually loses their ability to feed directly from corpses as their faces blossom into disfiguring tumors, the get around this by growing Vitae Tumours on their prey in order to feed.
>The Samsa Family
Cockroach Gangrel who have special resonance with those mutant creatures who can survive the toxic wastes. Their outward appearance tied to their humanity; at their highest family members look like pallid humanoids without Noses or Lips, at their lowest the look like horrifying monsters of cracked chitin, warped limbs and compound eyes.
>House Exodus
Merchants descended from a Ventrue who stockpiled a whole reservoir of water to maintain his posse of ghouls, and eventually developed weird biblical water-blood related powers. These powers include Walking on Water, turning it to Vitae and purifying it with a touch (the last one his hearsay.)
The OMAR Institute
A bloodline of cyborg Mekhet whose dead flesh lets them perfectly adapt to any cybernetic enhancement, ignoring the usual rejection issues. The phantom sensations of lost limbs interact oddly with their Shadow.
>The Rosies
A swinging Daeva bloodline who drink memories as well as blood, and stockpile bottles of pre-war "good times" to share amongst themselves and their most prized ghouls.
As you regain your consciousness you immediately feel your head spinning.
Your right elbow and your palms burn like fire and judging by the throbbing headache it seems like your skull is about to burst open any second.
Besides from the pain you are cold. And wet to the bone.
The rain is pouring down. Your clothes are soaked and you can feel them sticking to your skin.
The ground is freezing and with a groan you try to open your eyes.
[]Look around you to see what happened
[]Cry for help
[]Take a look at your wounds
[]Stay on the ground for a bit longer
I’d say two replies for a decision make it happen.

>[]Look around you to see what happened
>[]Take a look at your wounds
You take a look at your hands. Your vision is blurred and you still feel groggy but you definitely can see that you palms are scraped. As you get yourself into a somewhat sitting position you notice that your elbow isn’t much better and so are your knees. You fucked yourself up pretty good but the wounds don’t seems to be very harmful. However now that you saw them your eyes begin to tear up a bit. Probably due to the stinging pain.
You check your forehead and feel a bump but no blood whatsoever.
As you look around you you can see that, even though it is not entirely dark yet, the street lights are already on.
You are in some sort of alley with houses left and right, suburbs probably.
You are the only one here it seems.
[]Get up

I would agree that Kotails are a bit ridiculous, Tohaa were given a rather solid start, but "hey, play hard or go home" is what I always say.
What are you building right now?
I have couple of Armbots and Fusiliers on the table.
>>43807665
I'm not building much, because I'm trying not to buy stuff I don't need and I already have my full army, but I am trying out some different basing techniques on these test models. I didn't paint them to a standard I like, but I liked how the bases turned out.
Is Fallout cyberpunk, or is it some deviant form of steampunk?
Or is it it's own thing, and if so, what do we call it?

Thread Question: Carrying on from last thread, which level of enhanced initiative would you consider standard on runners and their opposition?
First for adding a related question.
How much optimization is too much?
Shadowrun rewards specialization above all else. But how much should you sacrifice in favor of getting to a level of competency? It already takes most of your skill points, so that's a given. Do we go for the highest numbers and the biggest dice pools? Do we optimize the shit out of everything?Because it seems overwhelmingly like all /srg/, /r/shadowrun, and the various forums care about is optimization, sacrificing RP at any turn
>>43803803
In 5e there isn't a hard requirement to get initiative augments to have two IPs, so that's the standard for me.
But I play 4e, sooo getting 2 IPs is a bit more of a tax. Low level rent-a-cops will probably have only poppers and reserve those for open conflict situations (no one wants to do the paperwork to requisition more drugs). It's not til you get to facility-specific security teams that augments should really see a role. Then again, the bloat of 4e chargen also pushes that aside; again, this is where security is supposed to use quantity of personnel in place of supersoldiers.
>>43803803
>which level of enhanced initiative would you consider standard on runners
Depends on their exact role i, the group. Support characters should get enough to make sure they get two initiative passes whatever happens. Those whose job it is to murder the shit out of the opposition should push it further and make sure of a good chance to get three.
>their opposition
This SO dependent on the situation that it's pointless to answer. Even a lousy mall cop can perfectly have a dose of Jazz in his pocket for when SHTF.
How would /tg/ play a gnoll? What personalities, characteristics, and dreams would you give your gnoll?
I generally wouldn't really. They're basically just orcs with hyena heads, and I'm not too into the evil PC stuff. I see even less point in it if you aren't going to play up the evil shit
>>43801441
Gnoll Barbarian, assuming D&D
Would make him a young pup searching for strength and power through training in order to return to his land strong enough to destroy the tribe who killed his own, long ago.
Willing to do anything for power, or wealth to translate into power. Whether personal training or strong allies. Never met his father. Worships the spirit of his dead mother and dead tribe.
>>43801441
Sloven, slothful, wisecracking ranger who hunts humans as a bounty hunter. She only needs to deliver the head in most cases, so dinner is free if you don't count scrapes and bruises.
That or a super fucked up and lordly priestess of Lamashtu in pathfinder. Would NEED an evil party for all the weird monster spawning that would happen. Actually want to play this character concept super bad.Either way, the most basic part of playing a gnoll character would be being a hot ass futa furry. Obviously.
ITT: We build a setting, one post at a time. I've seen these turn out great, and I've seen these turn out terribly: let's see where this on lands!
First we have to decide: Fantasy, Modern, Sci-Fi, or something else?
Pic not necessarily related.

Does the setting revolve around Earth, or is it more a "galaxy far far away sort of deal?"
And what's the deal with aliens?
How interesting are Australia and Canada for Urban Fantasy?
>>43790343
As interesting as you make them? What are you trying to ask here OP?
>>43790343
Canada has three cities of any interest when it comes to "urban".
>Montreal
>Vancouver
>Toronto
The GTA makes up a sixth of Canada's population. It's also the most ethnically and culturally diverse city in the world, so you could have a lot of imported demons/magic too. It also has the second hippest neighourhood in the world, so there's that.
I live in Toronto, so I'm a little biased about settings based there, but I think it's an excellent and underused setting for modern stuff.
>>43790343
well canada has bears, cougars, sasquatches, the ogopogo, yetis wendigos, skinwalkers, ancient indian burial grounds just to name a small amount of urban fantasy topics
never been to ausiland, but i hear they have more things that can kill you per square mile than the rest of the planet
There is a ton to work with there
