Ps4
EDH until the eldrazi bans come through. Really tired of 75% of the modern decks in the local meta being eldrazi. Playing fundamentally the same deck over and over again gets boring fast.

Chad Thundercock is a dank meme from robots and foreveralones on 4chan to reference the clean-cut football stars who fucked a dozen girls in High School and never knew what it's like to even be remotely lonely. The female equivalent is Stacey.
Thundercock is a reference to his mighty hammer-like penis, which slays many maidenhoods throughout his life.

Welcome back, boys and girls. I apologise for the delay, real life got in the way, as it tends to do. But I'm here now, so let's do this thing. It might be a bit early in the day to start this thread, but it worked out fine last time so whatever.
Previous thread: >>46176765
Let's start with another quick recap of what we have so far.
>We are the Unseen. A race living in a massive underground cave. While physically weak and poor combatants, we're gifted diplomats and have a natural talent for learning illusion magic. Our cave opens up to a dense jungle, from which we can harvest many materials. We've fortified the entrance to our cave with a primitive earthen wall, and camouflaged it with leaves and illusion spells.
>Early on a group of cultists, worshipping the sun, escaped from our caves to live on the surface. We've since tracked down their location. Though they don't seem to be any threat to us, we decided to keep a close eye on them nonetheless.
>Though we suffered some early setbacks in developing our magic potential, we've nonetheless managed to train a reliable, if not overly powerful, group of illusionists to help us in many way. One of our mages even discovered the secret of pyromancy, though nobody else has been able to learn it so far.
>We've discovered one other sapient race so far, the Scorpion-People. Through our skills of diplomacy, we've managed to learn their language and make them our friends, and got them to help set up an orchard near their village. However, we've been relying on illusions to interact with them, and letting them see our true form might make them less happy to work with us. In time, these powerful two-legged, six-armed warriors could become useful allies, valuable slaves, or terrifying enemies.
I'll put the game rules and our current stats in the next post.
We're playing this fast and loose, so I'm keeping the rules simple:
>Everyone is free to call out suggestions on how to spend the next turn.
>The first suggestion that gets three votes will be used.
>If there are several suggestions that appear to be equal, I'll either chose one at random or call for a tie-breaker.
>There's no need to roll for actions unless I ask for it. So please don't.
>When I do ask for a roll, a single d100 will usually suffice. If not, I'll specifically mention what to roll.
>We're all in this to have fun. Try to stay civil, even when you think people are making dumb choices. Bad behaviour is more disrupting than bad decisions.

>We're not mentioning the discord server on purpose because it sucks edition
>>46262757
>Based Edition
It's even got that new thread smell.
>>46262757
So what exactly is the discord server? I've heard it mentioned here but I've never bothered visiting the site.
Also, I have a general thread question. What is your main "role" in your group, or main group if you play in multiple groups? Does your group tend to mix up who plays what role in a party a lot or does everyone tend to stick in a similar role in each campaign? In my groups, though I mix it up from time to time, I generally find myself taking up the tanky melee role. I've played a lot of fighters and clerics, and recently picked up paladin because I actually like how they made paladins in 5e. Even my casters I try to make a bit more tanky than some of my other tablemates.
>>46262833
I personally just make a character and fit in with whatever role is left over. For example, in the first 5e campaign I played in, I rolled a paladin of vengeance, and ended up being the party's face (because I was the only one with a set of ethics or a reasonable goal and a decent charisma) and the party's healer (because no one else rolled anything that could actually heal). In the second campaign I made a monk, and ended up being the main source of damage since I could attack things more than once.
In both cases I made my character based on an idea rather than a set of stats, and in both cases I essentially led the party through the campaign. That monk was basically made as a psychotic bitch, a woman who loved nothing more than the heat of combat, and somehow I still led the campaign along sheerly through the strength of roleplaying as an actual person rather than a set of stats.I'm beginning to think my group is incapable of actual roleplay
ITT cool alternative designs for fantasy races.

I dig the drawing, but man the reddit worldbuilding subreddit is so, so bad.
Is it just me or does Shadows Over Innistrad have a terrible art direction and writing to match, especially when compared to the original Innistrad Block?
There seems to be so many women featured on the majority of cards I swear Innistrad is havind a male population crisis, not to mention Blacula and other out of place ethnicities in a European setting.
Also MtG Art & Writing Discussion General I guess.
>>46262348
So you mean like everything Magic's produced in the last few years?
Who would have thought.
>>46262348
It's just you.
You aren't wrong about the female thing, its much more apparent this time around and you can definitely see the bias in showing women in strong positions while the men are either rabid, mad, or ghosts in most depictions.
You're absolutely wrong on the art direction though, most of it looks fantastic and the odd case like in your picture are few and far in-between.
You're also wrong about ethnicity thing considering they were already there in original innistrad.
I summon the Celtic Guardian in Attack Mode
How obnoxious.

What's a good insult for Elves besides "Knife Ears" or "Faggot"?
>>46258105
Treehugger

>>46258105
"fairy", but i guess that falls under "faggot"
"tree-hugger" as a gentle PG slur?
in one game i had an elf player get called "sappy" by a mean-spirited bard as way of insinuating that he sticks his dick in tree holes. but that's not something that'd stick (no pun there) as a general universally-accepted insult, i don't think.
